Goddamn right. :-) I keep a piece of poly braid, two 3" heavy rachet straps, two lengths of BB proof chain, a battery jumper, heavy battery cables, WD40, all the fluids, gorilla tape, and two 3' black iron pipes plus a handheld spotlight, 1/2" zipties, a CB radio, emergency water, emergency food, and so on. To me, I think I need more, and I've used every item in that list except the emergency rations at least once in the field. :-)

Josh, I don't remember helping you out, but it sounds like you are talking about me. Oh and by the way, I don't keep rope in my truck, it's tow straps, axle straps, tie down straps and chain. Sometimes you need the chain to hook up to the vehicle you're towing, and sometimes you can just use a tow strap, other times you might need an axle strap to keep from cutting your tow strap when towing that car. Towing trucks are easy, just use the chain.
