  • Packing Away your Lay-Z-Spa. Water draining and deflating technique.
    1) Remove the filter housing from inside the spa
    2) Place the two stop caps over the debris screens on the pipes inside the spa
    3) Detach the pump unit
    4) Screw the hose adaptor to the lower water pipe. Attach a hose to direct the flow of water
    5) Remove the lower stop cap inside the spa, to allow the water to flow out
    6) Once the water has reached the level of the bottom pipe re-attach the hose adaptor to the outlet at the base of the spa and open the plug inside the spa to drain out the remaining water.
    7) Clean with washing up liquid, rinse with fresh water and dry thoroughly
    8) To deflate the spa; push and twist to lock the valve in place. Once the spa has deflated, carefully fold the spa to remove the remaining air and pack away

    Just a couple of tips we found helped, after draining the Tub we turned it upside down for a day as this gets any trapped water out of the air duct and holes and made drying easier, also if you have a electric inflater use it to deflate the tub and lid for compacting space

    You also don't explain how to get water out of the air ring before you pack it away?

    i dont have the lock valve for the air thing. So my lazy spa still doesnt deflate with the machine. I have had to pull the thing out and let it deflate itself.

    Wear do you get the adapter for the bottom of the spr I can't find one

  • @leethursfield666

    Maybe use the lower drainage pipe first no point in changing from one to another. Detatch and turn upside down for 2 hours to drain properly

  • @daverobbo27
    @daverobbo27 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why wouldn't you just add the hose onto the bottom drainage pipe rather than changing it at each level? Also how do you deflate it?

    • @Lay-Z-Spa-UK
      @Lay-Z-Spa-UK  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can also use that technique to empty the water.
      For deflation you can simply unscrew the inflation valve or use the deflation attachment provided.

    Hi Adam. About to pack my Laz-y spa Vegas away, I’ve been advised to sprinkle the inside with french chalk powder to help dry it and to stop it going mouldy, haven’t seen anything about anywhere else, what would you advise.

    It appears that the drain adaptor that fits to the bottom of the drain plug isn't included. Many people saying they haven't got one and cannot get one as no spare listed on bestway website.
    What is the problem with supplying this part?

    • @baldrickscunningplan6154
      @baldrickscunningplan6154 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Follow up:- I had a response from Bestway. They only include the drain adapter on 2020 models. It is not included in 2019 models and prior. The manufacture date is in reverse format by the in/outlet pipes.
      I have asked the question. Why don't they list them as a spare, so that customers can choose if they want one. Waiting for reply.

      Beetlejuice how do you find out what model you have? And what are the differences?

      @@jenniferbamber5969 There is a date on pool label. If its after 2020 the adapter is included.

      @@jenniferbamber5969 They changed the design of the pump to a blue Alien Egg shape. The pools are the same.

    Shame the pump doesn’t also deflate the spa, takes ages and have to keep pushing sides etc to make it go down.

      Hi Colin, all Lay-Z-Spas come with a deflation adapter which allows you to use the pump to deflate it. It looks like this - www.bestwaystore.eu/spare-parts-for-lay-z-spa/1502/bestway-spare-part-p61726-deflation-t-joint-adapter

The rest of our range can be used in the winter but not in temperatures of less than 4 degrees Celsius ambient air temperature.

      Ahh the dreaded E02 error.. This error can be a real pain in the arse! It means a water flow problem. Most of the time (if your lucky) it’s just a dirty filter that needs cleaning. If not, then it could be a number of other things. Most common problem is the water flow sensor or if your in a hard water area, then it could be a build up of limescale restricting water flow.
      I kept getting this error myself. I tired and tested everything including a back wash and blast but nothing worked and I could not find any problems but still kept getting this dreaded E02 error. In the end, I stripped the whole pump down, checked every single component and put the heating element in a bucket of water with oust limescale remover for a good few hours to get rid of some bits of limescale that was there and put the whole thing back together and it fixed the problem.
      The E02 error can be a real pain!
