I just bought the LMS 6450, newby also on the trade but been making many unfinished projects that I either messed up or did not finish because I was using a frankenmill floor drill. Did good work but finally found out that I had to buy a real milling mill to mill projects better. Hope you keep bringing out more videos
@@Project2Workshop I am starting a youtube channel when it gets a little warmer. I am building a 1928 Morgan Aero 3 wheeler special with 4 wheels. I am cassting an adapter out of aluminumm to mate an opposed twin aircraft engine to an MG 4 speed transmission and then to the diff and wire wheels. I am also going to be building a small brooklands style cyclecar with a BMW R-100 motor. I am recovering from being hit and wrapped around a telephone pole on my 1957 Panhead...nearly lost my right leg and am still fighting blood clots. I have been assembling a small machine shop consisting of a Southbend lathe, A burke number 4 milling machine that needs lots of tools and work. I found a drilling tapping station used in the 40's for airplane assembly. I just purchased a Bissel? tire changing machine from the 50's. I am so excited to get started. Meanwhile I would love to build a small version of a lathe and milling machine to use in the basement so I can make parts in the warmth when it is too cold out. I will let you know when I start my channel. Thanks.
@@Project2Workshop I love your shop also. We should collab sometime or just get together and hit some targets. I really fell in love with the PCP air pew pews...
@@Biokemist-o3k sound like your making the best of a tough time and putting it to good use! I’ve been in aviation for lots of years so that sound pretty cool to me👍. My other channel is project2aero where I’ve been building an airplane over the last few years. Always tinkering on somthing🤷🏻♂️
Dude, my jaw is in the floor. I have the same mill and learned quickly that operating a manual mill is an art form. All the technical know how in the world won't get results like this. Simply amazing. I'd have a 400 lb 5 foot tall pile of miscut stock next to me if I tried this.
Thanks! It takes some time to figure out how to work around the quirks of a cheap machine, but it is possible👍 I’ve had mad fair share of scrapped pieces along the way for sure!
I have the same machine and a mini lathe and do amazing things with them. If it wasn't for cheap chinese machines I would not be able to do any machining at all as the machines are so expensive.
Im a cnc machinist and I must say I'm impressed with your fixture and process. Good work
Thanks! I’ve sure got my moneys worth out of this little machine👍

SUPER AWESOME!!!! I love that little thing!!! I would love to cast an intermediate sized one for the same things you are working on.
I’ve sure enjoyed having this thing in my shop! I do feel like something with a little more capability would be useful for sure. 👍

Yes sir, I’ve sure used the crap out of this one and love it.. 👍
This abrasive dust will kill the machine guides.
Was thinking the same thing when I saw that blast cabinet beside it.
Horrible music
I think you might be a bit of a gun on this mill,,oh the skill , well done
