    *This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

    From a fellow DIY guy, good job! Replaced mine and Sandy's batteries with no issues! Glad I bought a tool kit with each battery cause the proprietary screwdriver for the back cover stripped (I'm always guilty of over-tightening), and I couldn't snug up the last screw without using the driver from the other kit.

    Thanks, worked fine for me. Bought a kit online and it took 10 minutes to replace the battery. Watch out for the grounding clip, it popped out on mine too, but easily replaced. Worth watching the whole video before you start so you know what to expect. Replacement battery was 66% charged. Now on charge, so hopefully will be a good replacement. First battery lasted over 2 years with charge dropping to about 3-4 hours before replacement.

    Thanks for the upload! I lost one of the screws during the install. I used the one I had left to screw down the top hole with the ground under it. The phone works fine. • @causewilleffect
    @causewilleffect 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Yep - worked as advertised. Thanks for the warning on the black tab popping out, and on keeping the screws separate. The only unexpected challenge I ran into was that the black ribbon that attaches the screw plate to the battery got folded under the screw plate so I couldn't attach the lower screw. Had to take it out and refold the ribbon so it would stay tight against the body of the battery. After that it fit like a charm. And if you bought the tool kit online to install the battery, the Phillips head didn't seem to fit the inside screws, so you're better off getting a jewelers set of tools with magnified tips. Way easier.

    Helpful indeed. As you mentioned the two little screws differ slightly in length. The shortest one should go in the upper slot, which also holds the little grounding thing that you were having trouble with.

    Thank YOU!!!! Just saved myself £20 paying for an iphone battery replacement by watching this video that took me from start to finish even before the replecement battery arrived. It meaning the/ this video actually gave me the confidence to know I could easily change my own iphone battery and not pay a shop to conduct the same service at my expense for a less than 5 minute job for a total novice like me with no confidence as I sometimes have the Dumbest moments for no other reason than I'm me therefore prone to foolishness thats unheard of. Once again thanks for saving me from myself and those wolves.

    This was a fluke find. I'd already replaced my battery. Phone worked fine but then I noticed that tiny part and wondered where it had come from. Can't believe he did the same thing and worked out how it fitted. I took my phone apart again; fitted the part quickly and it was much simpler to put back together (especially having been told the screws were different sizes). Love TH-cam for the how to videos!

  • @MarkJohnson-fq6nq
    @MarkJohnson-fq6nq 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video, thanks! Seeing the little part fall out and be put back in was helpful too - helped me avoid that. I found it was easier to line up and reattach the metal battery plug first (two internal screws), then put the battery back in it's place. When you put the batter back in place first, it's a bit tricky to line up the metal plate because the ribbon cable pushes the plate around. Thanks again!

Great video and my Iphone 4s is still being used 8 years later as my only "smartphone"- amazed the original battery got me this far, I should be good another 8 years, haha, or until the IOS is no longer supported by the apps I use, which should be any year now. Success! Thanks for your video, helped a lot. First attempt was unsuccessful, phone wouldn't turn on and when I went to plus it in I just got the Apple logo flashing on/off every 15 sec or so. Opened it up a second time, and did it over with a bit more pressure on the connector and trying to make sure it was pushed in all the way, closed it back up, and works fine.

    Thx, helped me really on my 4s ( Other video's are just for the 4), three tips, make sure not to leave fingerprints on batterij connections (e.g. use gloves), second the size of the screws should be told in the beginning (the bigger one has to be up) and last but not least the little black thing comes from under the upper screw. be aware by unscrewing so you see it popping up. thx again I like your style.

    Nice one, removed all the dread, liked the egg tray thing too but would give me the opportunity to lose everything at the same time when I launched it !
