Hurray! It worked! Thank you, Paul, for very clear and detailed instructions. I'm very proud of myself. I'm 54 year-old mom of two young men who are very good breaking their Iphones.

Excellent tutorial, nothing omitted and good tips included. The instruction about handling the "loop" was perfect! I found the internals were distorted (bent) from the fall that broke the glass and trying to true them up added a little time, but I was done inside 90 minutes. THANKS!

My daughter dropped her phone and cracked her screen really bad. I followed these directions step by step and even though it took me about 2.5 hours, ever thing worked at the end. I didn't make any mistakes thanks to your well articulated instructions. I appreciate how you explain the potential problems you might run across during the assembly. Well done!

For anyone who is stuck on "searching" after you made sure all the cables were connected you have to reset network settings, worked for me.

Probably one of the best and most comprehensive guides I have ever seen on here, Well done. I would just say to anyone attempting to do this themselves is -Watch the video properly in HD then watch it again. Be gentle and patient and you shouldn't have any problems. Most problems are caused by impatience and being too rough.

If your phone says "searching" after turning it back on, and you've checked the antenna connection already, then go to settings>general>date&time> and MANUALLY set the date and time. THEN while the phone is ON, take out your SIM card and then re-insert the SIM card with the phone still on, it should fix the "searching" issue. Hope this helps.

Dude, before ordering a iphone screen was looking to do my own iphone screen replacement but I thought it was going to be something like 2 to 5 minutes to do but after watching this 34 minute video instructions I see that its going to take more then 34 mins to do cause you edit the video and made it 34 min which actually really took more than an hour to replace the screen. In this case Its time consuming especially putting it back together and hopefully the phone will work after putting everything back together. I rather have it sent out for replacement instead being all night looking at miniature screws with magnifying glass. But greet video and thanks for sharing for those who willing to do it.

I feel like a freaking genius after watching this video! Not only did I fix the screen but your tips for sliding the digitizer and LCD wires when placing the new front screen to the mid-body were dead on! I watched several other videos for the same procedure but really found yours to be simple, to the point, and insightful without a lot of needless meandering! Two iPhones fixed for under $100 bucks! Yesss!!! Thanks heaps!!!

OMG LOVE IT!!! I replaced my old, cracked iphone 4s screen for a new one and I even changed the color of my phone from black to white. I followed all the steps EXEPT the first one because I was in a little too much of a hurry and I tore the battery cable. Thank God for Amazon Prime and next day shipping. My phone looks awesome and is working perfectly. I found that to get the "searching" to go away it helps to restart the phone after inserting the sim card. I'm very happy.

Great video - just fixed a friend's iPhone using this guide and everything went exactly as in the video and turned out great. Obviously it took longer than 34 minutes because of stopping and rewinding, but that's to be expected. I love you show how to put it back together (and test it the smart way) and all that too!

Just a little advice guys if youre attempting this repair. iCracked are a little pricey to buy their parts but this is the best walkthrough on youtube without doubt. they alert you to potential cock ups before you even make them, and trust me, this repair is a feeding ground for cock ups. But seriously, great instructional.

Just finished. Took 2 hrs but I wanted to make sure everything was perfect. The only problem I had was The little clear round plastic piece that goes around the camera lens that comes with the new screen well I took it from the broken screen like he did and when I wen't to put the new screen on the frame it was not fitting flush. I realized there was already that piece on the new screen so it wouldn't fit. Also when I turned the phone on for test I was stuck on "searching" but followed Subzyro's advice and reset network settings.

I couldn't have done it without this video, for sure! Thanks iCracked guy!!! The magnetic mat they sell was also super useful. My phone was a little more challenging than shown on this video - one screw would not come out, so I had to drill the head off and put it back together without a screw. Also, after heating the old screen, it still didn't come off too easily. In the end, it all worked and fixed in 2.5 hours.

👍👍👍 My iPhone 4S works again. Second time I have had to replace this part. Screen kept on flickering and if battery ever went flat it took days of continuous charging to get phone to turn back on. Excellent tutorial. Well done.

Many thanks ... I wish we'd been directed to your very thorough and easy demo first ... unfortunately the one we were working off was a little sketchy, and we ended up busting our digitiser cable!! Second try, using your info = success first try!!! Thanks a million mate!!

Thanks. Got my wife a new screen, works like a charm.
A separate thank you for the remark at aroun 30:00 that if you improperly connect the antennas you can get "searching" and all that, exactly what happened to me. Turns out I moved the lower one when plugging the battery and adding the ground panel. Thanks again. The other vids I found didn't have a reassembly and no commentary as in "this is the Home button cable, this is the camera cable etc.".

Very easy to follow instructions, good zoom to see where exactly the screws should be placed etc, great voice and good to listen to. Definitely need a flow chart as the first attempt took me five hours, withb a flow chart it took only 1 hour 30 mins

Hi, thanks very much for a most excellent vid - I followed it to the letter last night and the phone works perfectly. In under 2 hours I transformed my iPhone from a smashed piece of junk to looking and working like new again. Some tips: don't pay too little for a replacement screen, listen to each step right through before attempting, re-wind and listen again if necessary and finally be very careful with laying-out the parts (especially screws) so they all go back in the right place. Cheers!

Thanks Paul, I had started with a different instructional video. They left out a few crucial parts so I started searching for better instructions. Yours by far was the best very well done. Thanks

Awesome tutorial. Fixed my screen with no problems. The most difficult part I would say is getting the loop behind the digitizer and lcd in to set the new screen in, its a pain! other than that super easy.
