Sam says he's not a fan of this exercise. Then he needs to fly with my instructor. I fly autogyro and recovery from unusual attitudes is a lot scarier because the aircraft ends up very nose-high (and on the verge of, or even in the process of, tail-sliding) or in a steep and tight spiral dive before the instructor says, "recover". After experiencing that, he's going to find your exercise extremely tame. Recovery is extremely easy, though. Power to idle, roll and pitch to level, wait for the rotor RPM to stabilise, and then apply power and recover to the cruise (some instructors teach that for the nose-high situation with no airspeed, the student should recover to the glide to regain airspeed before returning to the cruise. Others argue that recovery straight to the cruise is proper because it involves minimal loss of height. Personally, I prefer the latter).
Just another great video with real insight into what it takes to preform small but important movements. Misha you are such a positive instructor. Sam you are flying with the best. Thanks for keeping the day to day videos going. BLADE SLAP BIGTIME Cheers until tomorrow !!!!!
so power has less effect than airspeed? these machines seem ok in calm air is it difficult recovering in weather. my buddy was one of those little lifeflight medics airsickness galore!
Was there something about Sam that made you choose him for these videos? I really like his attitude, he’s working really hard, clearly giving it the respect it deserves and also loving life at the same time :)
Ryan Heath nothing in particular. I was just wanting to do a series like this. It just worked out amazing because he has an incredible story, drive, and passion for this that really shows.
Hey Mischa, I've been watching your channel for a while. The last couple month I've felt constant dizziness, the doctors diagnosed me with Vestibular Neuritis, which is basically viral damage to the inner ear. This makes me little balance numb, especially if I'm tired and had to control balance or move eyes a lot for a while. Hopefully, I will recover from this eventually, however, it might take years or even stay with me till the rest of my life. Should this stop me from dreaming of getting a private license for the purpose of casual Helicopter flying? Thanks and keep it up! Roman
Clouds are sketchy but its those damn mountains that like to hide in them that will really ruin your day.

I'm impressed. Sam is doing incredible well and advancing very quickly.
I’m going to hover taxi over to the like button and lower the collective.

Roman Kisil I think as long as it effects your balance the doctors wouldn’t let you pass a medical unfortunately

roll pitch airspeed power trim altitude....🤪
Just one question, how much does Sam’s face hurt after the flights? He is always grinning ear to ear.
