From the pristine pools and relaxing hot tubs to the beautiful beaches and exciting water sports, there's something for everyone at Hyatt Ziva.

i stayed in the adult area and the experience is very nice. The pool was up high with a view of the big pool and the beach. There were a few cabanas which were free. I enjoyed the experience. On Friday there was a pool party at the main pool. I rented a cabana next to the pool. We had a great time with exceptional service. The food and drinks were brought to us which was wonderful.
Lucky. I wish I would have been able to experience it while I was there. The ppl I spoke to echoed what you are saying about it being beautiful and fun.

Thanks for all the great informative videos. Looking forward to our stay at the Hyatt Ziva in May. Do you know if the snorkeling is on the property or do they have other options to go off property?
They have a kiosk for water related activities on the one beach side. The concierge service onsite as well would be able to help you find anything outside of the resort that you would be interested in. If you are a planner like me, you can head to trip advisor and put in snorkeling in Cancun and check out the options. I trust the star ratings and reviews on Trip Advisor for a lot of our excursions when I pre-plan them.

$5 for breakfast for 2
$20 throughout an entire day at the bar
$20 for dinner for 4
That wasn't always consistent and it was sometimes more or less.

Thanks for watching and the nice comment. There is a bar/club that our daughter went to the one night. She said it was cool and they were playing good music. It is right next to the lobby

Thank you for the review, Haul. However, I noticed you didn’t mention the water slides. Did the kids in your group try them out? Also, do you know if you are able to leave the kids at the kids club? Thank you
Thank you very much for the kind words. Do you mean the water slides at the kids club? If so I don't believe they tried them and I do believe you can leave the children at the kids club like a daycare. I don't know for how long but i would call the resort to ask for specifics.
Is there a shuttle from airport to Ziva available if not what's the best option for transportation? Thanks for the informative videos
There isn't one for free. We have used Canada Transfer and Kalido Travel and both were fantastic. Thank you for the nice comment as well.
Do you know if they have parasailing and if that is a extra charge or not?
I didn't see it offered at the resort but I'm sure it is close by
Do the chairs by the beach get taken early and quickly?
Same question for the pool.
The smaller beach which I show in the video with the beach Cabana you def have to grab a chair earlier to get those bc there aren't as many. All cabanas you have to pay extra for and the other beach which is way larger didn't have chairs on it. The pools we did reserve earlier in the morning mostly bc we were a large party and wanted to be near each other. Definition of reserve is marking them with personal items like the kids floaties or towels or water shoes.
Away from the indoor activities can you go out by walking to places is it safe to walk outside at night like to club other resturant and bars? I love your revews what do i have to pay for thank you
Thank you that is very kind. Our family went walking around shopping during the day, and a lot of the more popular bars are very close by as well. We really didn't leave the resort at night bc of dinner and the stuff going on at the resort but where the resort is located I don't think you will have an issue. There is a very nice grocery store a short walk away which I went to quite often as well with no worry. We walked to the pier where the ferry came in as well with no concerns. I don't remember paying for anything at the resort except for tipping.

Thank you very much for the kind words. To be clear there really isn't an adult "side" there is an adult pool and pool bar that sits on a level above the rest of the pools and beach. The only individuals that have access to that pool and bar are the guests staying in the Turquoise Tower.
Any thoughts on the club upgrade? Necessary?
What comes with the club upgrade? Is it the adult only tower, with pool and bar?
@@detailedtraveler access to an additional lounge? Thats all that Im aware of.
I would say it isn't necessary then. There are plenty of places to eat and drink where you won't feel crowded.
How far in advance can you book cabanas?
We did them the same day. That may not always be the rule. I would probably try and do the day before bc early in the AM you could see reserved cabanas for other families
Gross use of Dolpins will not ever visit this place!!!
Pamela the dolphins are no longer there. The Mexican government made all these resort remove this feature at the resorts.

I believe all of Mexico made resorts remove their dolphins. The one beach was a bit more rough but not terrible while the other beach is very calm and would be fine for kids. We went in June yes.
