    Nice reviews. We’ve been at least 5 times and going back in a couple weeks. I couldn’t agree more. The Mexican people are amazing. A highlight- fresh fruit and delicious pastries. Of course tequila and drinks are great. We love all of the food and especially Habaneros. Heated Pools with daily food specials! Almost always windy beach but calmer by the pool. LOL- the treat place is called Pasteles dessert parlor (like the color-pastel).
    Thanks for posting!

    Thx a lot for the review, cheers from Canada. We're deciding between the Ziva and Grand Fiesta with our 5 months old baby! I'll watch your 2nd video comparing the 2.

    Solid video man! Not sure if you've been, but would you reccomend this resort overall over Moon Palace Sunrise? My group of friends and I are deciding between those 2 picks. Food definitely looks better here

      Thank you. I have not been to Moon Palace Sunrise sorry. What is the most important things to you and your friends and I can let you know how the Ziva stacks up?

    Thank you for your detailed review!
    Did you find that you had to pay extra for a lot of things? Ive heard its not truly all inclusive and that theres a lot of upselling.
    How was the beach? My husband and i love night swims in the ocean. Are you allowed to do that?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are very welcome and thanks for the questions. There was very little to no "upselling". I'm a consistent tipper on all inclusive resorts b/c I feel it really aids in the service and I believe it is the right thing to do from my viewpoint. The spa would be extra but is a choice and it isn't a lot of haggling, anything you get in the shop is extra, along with some of the ocean activities like kayaks I believe you needed to pay for. I have been to resorts where these are free so just double check on the ocean activities b/c I can't remember.
      I'm not sure about night swims, I don't remember seeing anything telling you that the beach was shut down but I would also call and ask about that.

      Thank you 🙂
      100 agree on the tipping.
      I'll give them a call about night swims and such.
      I hope we'll be able to feel free to live it up a little. We love music and don't like being quiet all the time on vacation
      Thanks again!

    We were there the 2nd-7th and really enjoyed it. Habaneros was our favorite place by far! Best views and the best if you want seafood and tacos. All of the staff we asked on arrival said it was their favorite too. Guess it just depends on what you’re looking for.

    • @detailedtraveler

      Absolutely. We liked many of the places as well. The location was amazing the food wasn't totally for me. We are def gonna go back to this resort.

    Based on the resort map, most restaurants seem to be near lobby and rooms are all spread out. Are buildings connected? In case it rains, I'm wondering if you have to walk in the rain to get to the restaurants/buffet. Thanks for the thorough review.

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Kelly you will not be able to get to all the restaurants without getting wet if it is raining but most you will be able too. They are mostly centrally located under the lobby area or on the same level which is covered btw the tower or the Aztec building. The Habanero taco place is out by the beach so that would be the one that you would get wet walking too.

      Cindy Luck for you I did a Showdown btw the two. th-cam.com/video/jNr8AMv0HaQ/w-d-xo.html
      This is no marketing pitch to get you to watch another video I just want you to know why I chose what I did b/c what is important to you may be different from me. Thanks for asking though.
      PS they are both great.

    What can be classified as smart casual dress for men ??
    Will a polo tee with jean/cotton shorts and tennis shoes qualify ?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yea you should be fine with that. Polo is fine, short sleeved button down, I'm pretty sure I wore a nice t-shirt some nights. I work shorts every night to dinners as well. I'm pretty sure I wore nice sneakers each night as well but you may want to take a nice pair of slip-on beachy shoes like Hey Dude possibly as well or sperrys.

    What time does everything close down? Hubby and I are nighthawks. Not looking for anything crazy like a naked twerking fest or anything but we want to dance and party a bit and do not want to ever under any circumstances be told to be quiet or feel like we're being too loud lol

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My new favorite phrase is a "naked twerking fest", thank you for that 😂. I didn't do too much late night stuff b/c I'm an early morning riser but my daughter and her bf went to the bar there that had a DJ one of the nights and she said it was a good time. She was in her early 20's at the time. I don't remember them having any specific clubs but I may have just missed it b/c it isn't my scene. They have an adult tower which has it's own bar and pool so that area may have what you are looking for as well. I would certainly look into the adult tower. The local bars aren't too far away and you pass them on the way in and one specifically had a huge open/outdoor bar with a giant area for dancing as well.

      😂 glad to give you a new phrase haha. Yeah, we're early morning people too, if we stay up all night lol.

    Went to the Moongate/hibachi with my brother who is Vegan. Chef went out of his way to make sure he could eat too. Food was good but not top tier.

      Fair comment Mia. The service was exceptional for us as well and the food for me was great but I don't have a ton of hibachi experience to compare it too
