Thank you so much for this very detailed video!! Love how you explain everything in a very clear and direct way. And wow you took the time to walk everywhere with your camera 👌
Your video IS the most “comprehensive” tour of Hyatt Ziva on TH-cam! We’ve been here numerous times and are returning in spring 2024. What keeps us coming back is the level of quality with EVERYTHING. The fresh fruit and drinks are the highlight for me. I can describe many reasons why we love Ziva, but it would be too lengthy. The wonderful staff sets the tone the moment you arrive. Excellent video!
@@jeremymac3 I’ve only walked to Zilara on the beach- about 35 min walk from Ziva. It looks very nice but that’s all I know. Ziva is great for families. I think Zillara is adults only? I would bet that the food and accommodations are similar. One big difference is the Zilara property is on a long stretch of shared public beach. Ziva is private. We did visit Ziva after my previous comments and it was as good if not better than before. They have a new poolside bbq that’s excellent. I did find that fish in the water were fewer than the past and visibility wasn’t as good. Maybe Cancun’s popularity is effecting the ocean? Still a great time. I’d give zillara a try.
Thank you for this! Looking at staying here for a family trip June 2024 and your video has been the best so far. You mentioned you're a travel agent? I'm trying to do it all alone but I feel overwhelmed
Thx Angie for an amazing informative tour of Ziva, Cancun! Quick question, any kids activities, inflatable toys etc going on in the Sahara Pool or is it more for adults?
I rarely think the Club Level anywhere is "necessary". However, if it fits your budget, I think the Club building is lovely. The extra attention from the concierge team is great. If it's in your budget, I'd do it.
Great Video Angie! Is this Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun - Puerto Morelos? It shows 2 hyatts in google, one has huge reviews and one not to many! Thank you
Probably the weirdest question you'll get today. I'm an addict.....a Dr Pepper addict!! I can't do without them. I have previously packed them in my checked luggage to Paris and Rome. Actually, had someone come up to me outside the Vatican, asking WHERE I got my Dr Pepper. She NEEDED one. I'm thinking of opening a Dr Pepper stand outside St Peter's when I retire. Anyway, are Dr Pepper's available in Cancun? At the hotel? Or can you suggest somewhere to purchase. We are headed down for a wedding in March. Thanks! Great video. Can't wait to visit!
Do you know if they have beachfront event space? (like for a birthday party) What did you think of the beach & rooms overall? Did you try any water sports in the area? (jet ski etc)
Your travel agent can review what special event locations available for your dates of travel. I cover both beaches in the video and my thoughts about them. I didn't investigate the extra charge water sports.
We were upgraded to the turquoise tower on one visit and it was very nice, but felt isolated from the action. We’re perfectly happy with a standard room, because the extras aren’t as important to us. Further- the pyramid rooms are very close to everything. I wouldn’t refuse a turquoise upgrade, but just getting to stay ANYWHERE at Ziva is wonderful in my opinion.
Helpful video thank you! If I book turquoise for my parents, and family building for my husband and kids, will we be too far from each other? Are perks in turquoise worth the separation? Is there jacuzzi in the family building rooms?
It depends what your kids like to do. Some families like to be closer to the larger beach so the kids can play in the sand. Others like to be near the kids pool.
I noticed you said Habaneros was closing. I thought I saw somewhere they was closing for a remodel and has since opened back up. Do you know if thats true or not?
I'll always pick adults only. Hyatt Ziva Cancun has an adults only pool. Grand Fiesta Americana does not. Here's a tour of Grand Fiesta Americana: th-cam.com/video/-adyfCtZ_AY/w-d-xo.html
So if you are in a ocean front room, but want to enjoy the best beach, you have to walk across the entire resort and deal with kids? this resort seems too big for its own good
@@TripswithAngie We don't even visit the zoo anymore. Some animals just don't belong in captivity. Watching the elephants years ago did it for me. It's sad.
Great video, Angie! You are so good at this! What a great speaker! I would watch you on TV every day.
Wow, thank you!
Best vídeo about Hyatt Ziva! Helped a lot! Thank you
I'm so glad you found it helpful!

Excellent video! I’m trying to absorb as much info about the resort before my trip in March. You provided so much info!
Have a great trip!
My birthday is in October and me and my wife were going to go as well! Have you been around that time before to Cancún? It’ll be our first time

We head to the Ziva on Thursday. Can’t wait!!
Have a great time!
My favorite resort 😍 Just got home & can't wait to go back
What do you look forward to most?
Awesome, informative video. I took all the notes on my phone. We go on Jan 20th.
Have a great trip!
Thank you. Heading there the end of the month for a wedding, you helped take some of the guess work out of this trip. I can't wait.
Have a great trip!
Great review Angie!
Thanks!
Great stuff Angie. looks amazing!!
Thanks!
Thanks so much for the detail information...❤
Glad you found it helpful.
i love this hotel it is my favorite in Cancun. I have been there a few times.
What's your favorite restaurant?
the hibachi restaurant was our favorite.
We are going this October thanks for the tips! 😊
Have a great time!
What a wonderful tour! Going in 8/2024 for a wedding. ☺️

Thx Angie for an amazing informative tour of Ziva, Cancun! Quick question, any kids activities, inflatable toys etc going on in the Sahara Pool or is it more for adults?
It's more of a quiet pool
Thank you so much for the tour!!! Did you rent a car or leave the resort?
No.
What is the accessibility for a wheelchair chair like? Is there ramps, is beach accessible?
Thank you for doing these videos
I did not do a wheelchair test. There are ramps and I show some in the video. I don't recall if they had sand wheelchairs.
Thank you for the detailed video. Do you feel that the club level is necessary? We are traveling with teenagers.

@@TripswithAngie does expedia has the Hyatt Ziva Cancun because all its showing to me is the riviera one? Thnx for the response
@@bujaminveliu8982 Expedia is a competing travel agency. I don't comment on what they have.

I don't know off the top of my head. The travel agent you booked with can help.
Great vlog
Do you automatically get club level if you are staying in turquoise tower?
No. Club Level is a different tower.
What month did you record? Will they bring you drinks if you’re on the south beach? Thank you!
October 2023. I didn't see waiters on South Beach.
Do you know if they have beachfront event space? (like for a birthday party)
What did you think of the beach & rooms overall?
Did you try any water sports in the area? (jet ski etc)
Your travel agent can review what special event locations available for your dates of travel. I cover both beaches in the video and my thoughts about them. I didn't investigate the extra charge water sports.
Going there on mid Oct. with my husband and teen daughter. Is it possible to get a room upgrade at the resort?
Your travel agent can advise you on the upgrade options.
Angie do you recommend upgrading to the Turquoise Tower ? If so, how much more is it per night ?
I give my recommendation in the video :). Your travel agent can let you know the price for your dates of travel.
We were upgraded to the turquoise tower on one visit and it was very nice, but felt isolated from the action. We’re perfectly happy with a standard room, because the extras aren’t as important to us. Hi! Your travel agent can review the pros and cons of each of those choices with you.
Are kids allowed to cross through the Sahara pool to get to the other side of the beach?
Kids are allowed in both pools. The rooftop pool is adults only.
Angie do they have dinner buffet?
Yes.
Which pool do you think is better for reserving cabanas with kids?
It depends what your kids like to do. Some families like to be closer to the larger beach so the kids can play in the sand. Others like to be near the kids pool.
Do you have to pay for the cabanas?
Yes.
I noticed you said Habaneros was closing. I thought I saw somewhere they was closing for a remodel and has since opened back up. Do you know if thats true or not?
That is true. It is now open.
Yay!!!
Do they offer cribs?
Yes.
Do this resort offer Jet ski rentals??
I don't remember seeing any.
Do you have to reserve a cabana on the ocean if you're turquoise? And do they cost extra?
Thanks for this great and detailed review!
Yes. All cabanas have to be reserved and cost extra.
@@TripswithAngie thanks so much for your reply 🙂
so Between Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun and Hyatt Ziva Cancun which one is an all around better deal for a family of 4 adults?
Depends on what's important to you. If you'd like to use my travel planning services, please email angie@tripswithangie.com
Do they make banana daiquiri there
I'm sure they could.
are the dolphins free to see/watch?
The pool does not have a fence so you can see into the pools from the dolphin view rooms or the bridge to the pyramid tower.
What is the reason why Habaneros closed?
Total renovation.
I reached out to the resort and they said it should reopen around 12.20.2023.@@TripswithAngie
It is now reopened
Do you prefer this resort or Fiesta Americana next door?
I'll always pick adults only. Hyatt Ziva Cancun has an adults only pool. Grand Fiesta Americana does not. Here's a tour of Grand Fiesta Americana: th-cam.com/video/-adyfCtZ_AY/w-d-xo.html
How bad is the wind in November?
Depends on how active the hurricane season is.
Is the food included in the package
Yes.
$600 dlls for deposit, it's to expensive,
How long did it take to get your money back on your credit card?
It was a credit card so it was only pending.
Ahh i want to go here but it's expensive for me 😭
Maybe someday. 🤞
I read its a Lazy River where is it?
No lazy river here.
So if you are in a ocean front room, but want to enjoy the best beach, you have to walk across the entire resort and deal with kids? this resort seems too big for its own good
Not really across the resort because it's a U shape. Your travel agent can send you a map.
Thanks for reminding me why we eliminated this resort from contention a few years ago....the dolphins. I can't support that.
It's definitely a very important thing to know about the resort. Dreams Playa Mujeres also has dolphins.
@@TripswithAngie We don't even visit the zoo anymore. Some animals just don't belong in captivity. Watching the elephants years ago did it for me. It's sad.
Good point. Very disappointed in Hyatt for allowing themselves to be associated with captive dolphins. They are now under the Hyatt name.
So,there’s not much beach
I like to stay on the beach more than the pool
Nice!
