Not that great dude. Room had dead flies, unfriendly front desk, tv broke down, condos need upgrade. Who paid you for this review? And Rumfire is overpriced and just average food.

Good review. My only slight disagreement is Rumfire. Yes it's a little spendy, but not more than any nice restaurant on Kauai. Phenomenal view too.

I agree. But my family really wanted Hawaii. I said we could go to costs rica for half the price, but for some reason everyone wants Hawaii.

Disney sucks and is not a good way to spend your entertainment dollar...that includes Stormalong Bay and its guest only bs

Dude travels to a luxury beachfront resort in the Caribbean and is surprised it is expensive.

Yacht Club has a much better market and coffee. Otherwise similar, but I’d also say Yacht Club has better vibes.

Going for Company trip in January. Thank god al the breakfast, lunches and dinner are covered!. Also have tee times scheduled.....At my cost of course. Al islands are expensive it is what it it is

Going to Baha Mar this weekend for 9 days. I’m glad I quit drinking alcohol a couple of months ago. My wife not so much. Hopefully that’s saved us money not drinking as much as years or trips past.

Be prepared to shove your fanny pack in one of your other bags though. I personally witnessed Delta personnel refusing to allow the “3rd bag” onboard for an international flight in October 2023. They were making people get out of the boarding line and unf*** their bag situation.

Just about all large hotels & resorts rates will change day to day based on supply & demand. I've been a travel agent for over 38 years and seen it all. Pro tip, Always re-check your hotel rate to see if the rate has dropped before the cancellation penalty kicks in. Rates drop all the time. We offer rate re-check for all of our clients! Example:~ I personally changed my reservation at the Venetian resort in Vegas 4 times! Since I booked about 6 weeks ahead I had time to keep re-checking the rate before the 3 day cancel policy. Also never book a Non-refundable rate!

How much were the seadoo and paddle board rentals ?

I love Kauai but live on Oahu. It is a beautiful island but you must know they roll up the roads after dark. If you're young and want night life Oahu is your choice. If you want peace and quiet there is no better island than Kauai.

Hawaii vacations are NOT WORTH IT!

Excellent review. I have several friends who have stayed there and would never stay there again. My wife and I were in Waikiki in early June and Stayed at the Outrigger Reef on the advice of one of the friend who stayed at the HHV. So glad we did the Reef was perfect!!

About the fridge, you can request a mini fridge to freeze your drinks, at no cost.

We stayed at hilton cancun and loved the food and the service. A few months later we booked royalton splash cancun and didn’t like the food service and overall quality. Was no where near hilton cancun. Now we are looking to book our next AI in dominican. Which hotel would you prefer? I was thinking hilton romana would be a hit but after your review, I am concerned. Any hotel(s) you can advice in DR?

Glad you posted this. Was thinking about returning to the HHV with the family. Haven't been there in nearly 25 years and after hearing this review, I think it might be another 25 before I'll go there. It used to be a great resort when I first began going there in the early 1980's.

Good tips but for people glued to their cell phones 24 hours a day, there is no excuse to not download the airline's app and get flight updates.

Bring the fastest charger and cable for your phone. Being able to charge fast especially during a difficult situation makes a huge difference. I even pack a small splitter to help out another traveler. Take a selfie in front of an official clock to prove you were on time. Always pack a pen to fill the immigration forms. Pen shound have a tiny tiny writing bc theses gaps are miniature. Check food options at the airport on Google. I found one airport cafe in Dusseldorf with nice comfy seating, charging ports at every table and good coffee.

Great video. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.

I don't use the phone wallet feature but for boarding passes, I make screen shots of them from the airline app about 30-mins before getting to security. This also avoids delays if service is not there or slow, just launch the picture app. For international I also print the paper boarding passes and have them in specific pocket in my backpack folded up with the barcode showing just in case the phone battery dies.

I just stayed at three Luana Waikiki. Did not pay extra for valet (only way to park there). It was fun! I got to host a beta fish in my room over night. There was a kitchen to lower the cost of eating. They have meet and greet with wine and cheese as well as live music. It was a lot cheaper than this place.

It's October 10th, 2024. i just came back from the resort , i had an amazing time! The whole staff at this place goes the extra mile to make your experience unbelievable!!! Visiting Xcaret is an amazing experience, i had a great time at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach, and i will definitely come back again! Also you can just walk to all the best night life cancun have to offer. It's about 3 minutes' walk from the hotel! The food and the entertainment go above an beyond at this resort!

Great informational videos! You mentioned that there are water sports on the adult side. We are traveling with all adults and three 17 year olds (who are close to 18). Will they be able to do any of the water sports or do they check if we wanted them to join us at an adult restaurant?
