Apparently, the white version has stronger magnets and is easier/stronger to tighten up. Also, it has holes underneath (so the XLR cables can run underneath instead of over the top).
I most likely get the normal Elgato Wave Arm as well, so i have options and can also mount my second mic as well. Also switched out the old PSA1 (RODE also has the PSA1+ now with some improvements) for this LP arm. Am using it also with a heavy mic, the RODE Procaster so i also had to tighten it well. Another downside of the PSA1 and my main reason to replace it is that it cannot be used behind your screen because it pulls forward, the normal Elgato Wave Arm comes with a raiser which solves that for a big part and with the LP you just go below your screen, if that is an option of course.
so neither i think. I might get to test some knock offs, or maybe Blue - i want where the cable is inside, like elgato.. but this arm is not built for a heavy mic.. i have been in talks with both Fulaim and Maono, that makes cheaper versions with cable inside.. fulaimaudio.com/products/fulaim-mic-stand-adjustable-360-rotatable-microphone-arm-aluminum-alloy-mic-arm-desk-table-stand-foldable-arm-stable-microphone-mount-arms-for-radio-studio-podcast-gaming?variant=42715920138428 www.maono.com/products/maono-ba92-microphone-boom-arm-stand but it works for now, - so i dont know..
Hey there. Great video! I used to have a PSA1 and currently have both a PSA1+ and the Low Profile Elgato one. The big plus/pro are the looks and the Low Profile aspect of it. BUT (and this is a big BUT), it can't be adjusted AS EASELY as the (old lamp stand looking) Røde arm. I both game and make music and frequently move the arm around, and re-position/readjust the arm+ mic, and IT'S annoying! 😞 I really want to love the Elgato arm (LOVE LOW PROFILE) but I'm not sure if I can put up with the annoyances and frustrations it gives me...
I contest. Elgato (like any other company) will of course want you to use their brand instead of other brands, but the arm supports all microphones as long as they don't exceed the supported weight. The included mount adapter can be used with a wide range of microphones, so at least they didn't make it a proprietary product.
I am gaming with my son, but not on twich anymore - its in danish on a channel here on youtube. But i also have another youtube channel about blogging and such.

I think the black one have that also because they have a picture on the website
does the elgato have to be put in the centre or can i align it on the left/right side of the desk?
i have it slightly to one side, you can pick either.. but not too far from center.

I really do not like my LP arm, the metalic plates keep popping off every time i twist it, so bad..
I am considering Blue Arm
@@DanglishReviewsI thought you said you liked it in this video. Has your opinion changed?
@@real_kingfalcon i have configured it better now, but the flappy metal plates are poor, they should've made the magnest 3x as strong. :)
@@DanglishReviews Ohhh thank you. Do you wish you had kept the PSA1 or gotten the PSA1+ based on what you know now?
so neither i think.

the low profile is not perfect at all.
I game and make music too. I have been looking for this answer all over the Internet! Thank you 😊
How’s the elgato low profile holding up?
the magnets are too weak, as many will describe, they pop up from time to time, but i am still using it :)
@@DanglishReviews Wrong, its very strong, I just get mine yesterday and its solid rock.
the arm is not supposed too be for that mic for elgato mics the wave or the other one that came out the new one .
Well it works. :) still using it .. still Happy
