    I genuinely believe you’re the greatest coach out there! After not playing for 30 years, I’ve managed to play about 20 rounds on six different courses. Thanks to your videos, I went from picking up on 3 or 4 holes each round to finishing my rounds without picking up at all, averaging a bit over double bogey. I even got a friend who had never swung a club before into the game and taught him what I’ve learned from you. After just 4 rounds, he’s only about 4 strokes behind me. I’m close to breaking 100, and he’s not far off either. Your coaching is truly spot on! Keep up the amazing work!

      He's so good at simplifying key concepts and not giving you 15 new things to worry about, only instructional golf channel I watch online. I stopped hitting my driver because I didnt trust it at all, (heavy slice per the usual) watched one of his videos in the backyard, followed along with practice swings, and then went to the range and was hitting it dead straight in a matter of minutes.

    Damn it Danny, Why didnt you tell me this 20 years ago? Literally I was messing around in the back yard ( you call it garden) doing exactly that. Pinning the right bicep and hit amazing wedge shots. I thought it was a fluke... Just another example why you are the #1 teacher on YT.

    It’s a brilliant technique to connect the arms and body together in the backswing. The through swing becomes so natural and connected. I have just tried it and the shots are straight and where I am aiming👍

    Excellent timing of this vid for me! This is EXACTLY what I was working on last week.
    With irons, you had the ball one club head behind your left heel and low point was 4.0” after the ball. With the fairway wood, you moved the ball forward and low point was 1.2” after. This tells me the swing did not change at all and the low point stayed almost exactly the same.

    Your golf metaphors such as “tighten the screws” are terrific. They take complex, technical concepts of the swing and make them so easy to understand and remember. Those metaphors also make it easier to implement into your game because they are “feel” oriented and not “technical/mechanical”. It’s much easier/simpler to have the swing thought of “tighten the screws” while you prepare to swing.

    Woke up this morning excited for another D.Maude masterclass and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. The downswing feels so effortless and repeatable when you keep that trail elbow intact. I've been tucking in my right arm for the last couple years after watching your videos. A couple days ago. I was always using a three quarter back swing and follow through. And still making about 70% good contact. I went to the sand trap practice area and tried to hit the line in the sand after the the line. I could hit about 7 out of 10 strikes. I said I'll just play with what I have. I went back and started hitting full swings and follow throughs. I couldn't believe I didn't hit one bad shot. Thank you Danny! As always your videos are amazing! 😉

    Once again fantastic. Great stuff with setup, swing plane. I go back to a lesson of your a few years back where you talked about hip motion (not rotation). The moving of the trail hip straight back in the back swing which allows for a full turn and helps me avoid getting too steep. Thanks for the slightly different viewpoint.

    This is really a great video! Very helpful. The one little component that I would like explained is if I’m trying to get the bottom of my swing 4 inches in front of the ball, how do I keep myself from hitting down on it too steep? I feel like I might be moving a bit forward in my swing to get in front of the ball and then I’m way too steep at impact. Not sure if this makes sense.

  • @ytjlm
    @ytjlm 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It's funny, this video came to me just a few days after I discovered the same thing on my own. As a result, my consistency improved to almost 95%. Now I understand the reason behind it. When combined with the right amount of lag, the ball striking reaches a whole new level. Well done!

    Thanks for this Danny. Due to intolerant attitudes towards left-handers when I was at school, I had to learn two-handed sports right-handed... hence I play golf right-handed despite being a natural leftie. (And yes, when I played cricket I would bowl left-handed but bat right-handed!) As a result, I have struggled for decades with a flying right elbow, because it is naturally my weaker hand. I look forward to putting this into action to give me the consistency and power I desperately need.

    I finally learned this during this weeks practising on the range. I can confirm that this works unbelievably well for the beginner like me. I hope all of you can trust this too and give yourself a chance to learn this (maybe through some miss hits). For me this only works with the way limited back swing (but the distance remains the same and 100% more accurate now). This is from the session with Pete and Maude and now Mr. Maude has once more simplified the main message for us in here, great job again and thanks :)

    Hi Danny. I watch, follow and try to implement all your tips and its really helping as I'm quite new to golf. My ball striking / contact has really improved ( ie less fat / thin.) but my swing speed is only at about 55 mph, so distance has been compromised. If I try to increase it, the strike goes. Any tips or is it just a case of keep practising. keep up the content. It's great. I'm not the most flexible by the way.

    Hi Danny great video once again. Another thing that I’ve learned is that grip pressure on the handle of the club also leads to inconsistent ball striking. I’ve found that a lighter grip (a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10) is about right for me and allows the club to deliver a more consistent and natural strike. The tighter the grip, the more inconsistent.
    Keep up the great work you do in our golfing community.
