Wife and I have been riding motorcycles for almost 18 years together we finally decided to hang up 2 wheels. After watching y’all’s videos and Q’s of course we went with a quad. We will be at Mack’s pines from Oct 12 till 19th celebrating our 18year anniversary. Would be awesome if y’all are in the area so we can ride with both of you. Although we are newbie’s. By the time it we get there we will be riding for 10 months. Keep up the great content.
Hi Dwayne, bittersweet I suppose hanging up the motorcycles and moving to a quad. Although I’ll be honest with you, a quad is the closest thing to a motorcycle and you have 4 wheels. Congratulations on 18 years together and have fun on your ride trip there in October. That is a really beautiful time of the year to ride especially in that area. I’m not sure where will be riding in October this year. Thanks for checking out the video and appreciate you dropping a comment!
Yup the trails there are the best. We are about 5 hours away from that part of the Ozarks and try to ride that area at least twice a year. Thanks for checking out the video. Much appreciated!
I’ll do a video on what I used to wash our machines and what I use for shining them up sometime this winter. Thanks for checking out the videos. Much appreciated!
I hope he changed out those weird factory lock nuts on all of the shocks. I mentioned before that mine gave out on my new Kodiak on the trails in Matewan. They don’t hold quite like the nylocks do. Plus they are thinner. More like a jam nut. This was a good video. Those trails look great. 🍻
Hey NK, Yeah, that shock bolt falling out was crazy! They must have been left loose during assembly I would guess? I know what you mean about the locknuts they are very thin Can’t believe you had one come loose as well. Thanks for checking out the video and appreciate you dropping a comment!
Another great video. Parts are on order. Still not sure when I will get it back. I will be going to Arkansas again in 2024. You guys and Ms K are fun to ride with just keep me posted so I can get time off.
Hey Tim! Yeah buddy we had fun riding with you as well. Even though it was short-lived, only got in one day. Hope you get your machine back together soon. We’ll keep you posted for trips next year. Thanks for checking out the video Much appreciated!
2 dudes on an ATV drinking bud light, that's funny lol. Crazy that shock bolt fell out. Never fun to have machine problems on the trail. We had a couple issues in Colorado this year as well. Great video!
Hey Rod, haha yeah the Bud Light thing was cracking me up to LOL Shock bolt must have been loose from the factory. That’s a lack of quality control when they assemble those machines I would say. Thanks for checking out the video buddy!
@@kcatv9556 Hey Jeff, the first trip my Dad had a fuel pump go out unexpectedly. Luckily it was at the end of the trip and I only had to pull him 5 miles on smooth roads to get back. Then on the second trip my battery went out unexpectedly, close to the same spot my Dad's fuel pump went bad, and on a different day my brother hit a downed tree that was sticking out into the trail that was hard to see and it bent his tie rod. That made for an interesting day trying to get it off the trail. I got all of that one on video and will make a video on it sometime hopefully soon.
@@rodneyfarwell3396 oh man sounds like you did have an adventurous time. Sometimes you never know when that stuffs going to happen? Good thing, you didn’t have to tow a long distance on a steep trail.
What!!! That's crazy, shock bolt came out? Can't say I've ever seen that. Good on you for helping out, it's always a good feeling to be the guy who came prepared, haha. Nice repair job, you fellas man-handled it nicely. Great time!
Hey buddy, I have never seen that either shock bolt come loose and fall completely out especially on a new machine. Good thing I had a bolt couldn’t ride on three shocks. Although by the end of the day he had the engine blown up on that thing. Thanks for checking out the video and appreciate you dropping a comment!
@@ElevationATV the lower radiator hose blew off and it extremely overheated. He just recently got it in the shop at his local dealer. And yes I believe they’re going to cover it under warranty. It was less than six months old.
You don't see that everyday. A Yammy breaking down! You're a good man for helping him out. No man left behind as we say when we go. Have a bud light on me🤪.
Hey buddy, have a Bud Light?, haha yeah, right, ain’t gonna happen. LOL Yup no Man left behind! I’m with you can’t believe that bolt came loose and fell completely out. Thanks for checking out the video, my friend!
Hey Shawn, hahaha! Yeah, the 2 up thing was cracking me up to! LOL Glad you enjoyed the video. Really appreciate you checking them out and dropping a comment!
Great video KC! Love all the extras from various states man, that just keeps things interesting. Crazy about that Yamaha suspension!!! You think they just forgot to tighten it up at the factory? I cant believe you had a bolt with you that worked. I cant wait to see the next episode man. Well done! Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Hey buddy, yeah, it was nice to have some folks there from other states. I was thinking when those machines come in the crate to the dealer I believe the shocks are disconnected so the crate can be smaller. Might actually be the dealer who left the shocks loose not the factory. Thanks for checking out the video Always appreciated!
Good video man. The Bud lite remark was worth 2 thumbs up 😅. I can't believe that shock bolt came out on that 22 grizzly. Now if it was the artic cat i wouldn't have been surprised lol ! J/k
Great video KC! Do you happen to have a link to your phone mount on your quad? Your's seems particularly good for muddy trails, but I've seen different mounting styles and didn't know if you had a recommendation
Hi Landon, the phone case is called Nelson rigg As far as mounting that on the handlebars, I fabricated amount to hold it. It is original design to fit on a motorcycle metal gas tank. hope that helps you out. Thanks for checking out the video.
Hey there buddy, oh yeah, always a good idea to make sure something is not coming loose. Best to find that stuff at home and not out on the trail. Thanks for checking out the video!
I have watched enough of y'all's videos that I decided to pull the trigger on a gently low hour grizzly. Was curious how many hours and miles yall have accumulated on yalls grizzly and kodiak?
Hey there, buddy, Grizzly has right at 5000 miles and 416 hours. The wife’s Kodiak has about the same. Both machines have served us well! Both still on original belt. Good luck, with your new grizzly Thanks for checking out the video!
