let me give you some tips about my language
DON'T USE SENHOR OR SENHORA!!
don't focus on formal speaking. we, Brazilians, are really really informal with everybody, even people we don't know. "Senhor" or "Senhora" are reaaaally formal ways to call somebody. don't use that. we only say it for really old people, like grandpa ou grandma, but is still rare. calling a adult lady "senhora" can sound like you're calling her old.... and that's offensive.
people that are working for you may call you senhora, like a waitress, for example. but it's rare, they use more "Moça" or "Moço" (means like young lady, young man")
so use the word VOCÊ (you), is better, can be polite (depends of the phrase) and will not put you in trouble😅😅
that's super different with portugal portuguese, it's actually "rude" calling someone você and we are usually very formal with older people/people we don't know!
don't do that, don't ignore formalities, we sure use senhor e senhora

The fact that Anna is reading "After" by Anna Todd has made my day. I love this book despite it being problematic in some areas, but I learned a lot through this series and it has truly changed my life. P.S. it breaks your heart too many times, yet you keep coming back for more.
I think the same about ''After'' cause I know is toxic and problematic, it taught me a lot of things about life and it was the first book I read so it made me feel comfortable the fact that Anna is reading it as well

I have read After in Dutch (my mother language) and now in English. I literally LOVE these books! Would you like to say where you got that book from? I don't know if they have the Spanish version in the library in Belgium?
Maybe in larger library? , they would typically have spanish/ Latino authors though...

portuguese is a bit like spanish, except for the accent.
No te sientas obligada a hablar con acento mexicano solo porque es el que mas hablantes tiene. El acento mexicano tiene un cantadito muy particular así que no es un acento neutro ni el acento más correcto, ningun acento lo es. Animate a aprender un acento argentino, caribeño, colombiano, venezolano, o español (hay variantes en esos acentos que no pronuncian la S), son acentos muy lindos y agradables. De igual forma Mexico, Colombia, España y Argentina son los países con mas población en ese orden, puedes elegir cualquiera de esos acentos sin ningun problema.

Smart speakers help to practice a language, and if you don't understand something you can open Google translate click on the mic icon and translate whatever the speaker says, I find Google nest to be better because it has more languages than Alexa, but aside from that they're very similar, however when it comes to the Russian language using Yandex' smart assistant Alissa it's a different experience, it almost feels human and I learn so much from her
when you were reading the book i was like "oh, this must be a very classic book" like the atmosphere of the sentences that you read make me feel that but then when you show the book cover i laughed so damn hard 😭😭😭😭
