This actually goes faster on environmental friendly E85. Now that's Swedish :) If I had the money, I would pick this over the ugly Veyron in a heartbeat.
E-85 may give more power and better fuel economy, but it is far from environmentally friendly. Look up how it's made and how devastating it is to the soil. Until it is made entirely from sustainable algae I just cannot support its use.
tp7886 it gives more power because you can run higher boost without detenation unlike pump gas. Computer adjusts tuning parameters like a flex-fuel system on a GM.
Yeah, ethanol is environmentally friendly... How about stopping to believe whatever you hear on TV and later spit it back out ? Corn ethanol is far worse for the environment than any oil extracted from Saudi Arabia ever. Far far far worse.
The only reason it has been pushed so hard by politicians is that the (immense) corn industry needed to keep growing, especially in the US. Europe followed because they suck as well.
The only place were ethanol is only a little bit worse than oil and not ten times worse is Brazil were it is produced using sugar cane.

Nissan GTR shocked the world with all wheel drive godzilla V6. While Koenigsegg Agera R shocked the world again with a masterpiece V8 putting the V12 Veyron to shame......

Jaguar did the "godzilla V6" forever ago with the XJ220 supercar, which held the fastest production car record at one point.

The McLaren F1 and all of the Koenigseggs are the best Hypercars ever. The Bugatti is too heavy and quiet. The SSC has terrible handling but is still very good. The Venom GT is basically a wide body Lotus Elise with a V8. Still the SSC and the Venom are better than the Veyron. I'm not saying the Veyron is bad, but it just doesn't compare. The Veyron is too expensive and too luxurious too be a hypercar. Koenigsegg and McLaren F1 for the win!
when you talk about the ultimate aero TT you have to take into consideration that it was built by less than 50 men in jared shelbys garage. by no means is it unimpressive that it once help the record for fastest production car in the world
this couldnt be more of a lie it costs $600,000 (plus tax and insurance) the original veyron is at $1.2 or $1.4 million go research it
Any car manufactured by Koenigsegg is a dream car for me; but while the One:1 is faster now, this is the one I want! So much savagery in this car....every drive would be an absolute, guaranteed adrenaline rush. This company makes them like I would!

Thank you so much for taking us along for such an exciting demo. It's as close as I will ever come to owning a Koenigsegg but then very few lucky souls ever will. Necessary? Yes, in the sense that excellence is always its own justification.
I'll never own one, but I love this company. They have set the bar far higher than it's ever been with regard to engineering. Innovation spurs innovation.
I get annoyed that most people don't highlight how great the handling and balance is in these things. Everyone seems to fall victim to the inherent difficulty's of driving a car with this much power. too much throttle or late breaking will unsettle any car. this car has amazing handling/balance when you're not using too much throttle mid/exit or break early enough into a corner. Koenigsegg cars are underrated when it comes to handling.

The big difference is that you feel that the car is built by real people, gifted and passioned you and me guys, not by a big corporation like Buggatti is. If i could afford to spend this kind of money on a car, i would go for something like this. It's like buying an Alfa 159 Ti in the real world, almost nobody would think of buying, but when you're on the road, you get everyone's attention and interest....while a 3 series E90 is passing, with a grunt on its face :)

Anyone here after Koenigsegg has become the powerhouse in the supercar world.
The fact that this car is only, from what I seem to read, about 5 to 8 miles per hour slower than the Veyron or even the Chiron (it's alleged 287 mph top speed is only theoretically based) despite it having 8 less cylinders, 2 less turbochargers, and a engine a little over 3.0 liters smaller, is EXTREMELY impressive. I can only imagine what the hell Koenigsegg would do with a 16 cylinder, quad-turbocharged, 8-point-something liter engine.

With that level of interior noise, it's a race car, not a supercar.
At the very least, it isn't a true road car.
The Veyron isn't just the fastest supercar/hypercar, it's also quite and comfortable. Useable in real world situations.

Ryan DeClue This is the 2011 Agera R, the newest model has interior active noise cancellation with adjustment settings. If you want it to be loud, thats up to you, but it can be very quiet.

You dont lose HP from added weight... and the already installed sound system handles the active noise cancellation, so besides maybe a couple pounds of sound dampening foam or something, no added weight

ok first off this car is completely track focused and has a extensive aerodynamic/speed design internally and externally. *The buggatti has a wayyy bigger focus on adding class and luxury with their overall designs and high speed levels.* The Bugatti veyron is not only one of the fastest super cars, but the most luxury based and of the highest standards. So until a car combines high standard, speed, a non racing look, is as bulky, and big as the veyron *then the veyron outclasses them and i will never be as impressed* smh

Koenigseggs focus is actually not to break any top speed, or even acceleration records (accept for "first to 400 kph" as stated by the man himself). Koenigsegg could for instance make their cars four wheel drive and they would win every race ever conceived by man, but they don´t because a rear wheel drive car is much more fun to drive. In my humble opinion Bugatti and Koenigsegg should not be compared. Different focus, different build philosophy, different goals.

You might not believe it, but even a volkswagen bus is actually more aerodynamic than one might think. It's only with these really fast cars that aerodynamics becomes so important that it needs to be thoroughly discussedd, since it will be affecting:top speed, acceleration, grip and even on later supercars braking.

At these speeds I don't care about the differences of the fastest cars. The fact is you'll never get to drive this fast on the road and even on the track the majority of drivers including me would just kill themselves. Still awesome to see though :P I've always loved Koenigsegg since their first hypercar.

honestly. People get so caught up in which is the fastest car. Who gives a shit!!! they both go fast enough to get your license suspended anyway. If the Bugatti is faster,(which i have my doubts), so be it. Its not like we can get in a race, betting a million dollars to challenge the owner of a bugatti to race against me in my koenigsegg R5, so just enjoy the video for what it is. looks and turns dont make a car, and lets be honest, most people who own either car arent taking them on the track all the time anyway. Bugatti rides like an S Class in the city and can take off like a jet once you put your foot down. Bugatti also has more refinement. I respect Koenigsegg, but the Bugatti Chiron has a Quad-turbocharged 8.0 L W16 engine pushing out 1500 ponies with 0-60 in 2.4 seconds and around 280 mph top speed while still having backup cameras, gps, air conditioning, and the most refined interior and ride quality you will ever find in a supercar.
Yeah pretty pathetic considering the Regera pushes 1800hp.
+John Adams At no point will the Regera's drivetrain make 1800hp. That's only of you add up the engine's and electric motor's peak hp which they will not interlace and only make a peak hp of 1500hp.
My point was that the egg's engine is far more efficient compared to the Chiron, they're producing the same Hp but their engine is almost half as small. And its lighter car overall.
I hate this car in GRID 2. They programmed it as this unwieldy piece of shit. Seems much better in real life.

Very few road-legal cars, however, can beat the 0-60 acceleration of an F1 car. In fact, research suggests only two are verified as being faster - the Ariel Atom (which is a glorified motorbike) manages it in 2.3s while the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport clocks it at 2.46s.
Koenigsegg agera r was never proven. All races and statistics are based on observations and speculations alone.

I find the aesthetic of the vehicle so pleasing that I could care less what car is faster or not, it is a precise work of art that can only be truly appreciated by a select few individuals.
Bugatti is better
1: you can use it as a supercar, or a luxery car
2: with a record speed of 256 mph (about 400 kmh), with an acceleration of 0-60 in 2.6 seconds.
3: Bugatti is the fist car ever to use W16
4: it looks cooler
5: it problebly costs a lot less
6: it uses a lot of fuel only when it is going top speed.
