🐈hi Sophia. I like your swift. I haven't seen one like that before only the wooden ones. I agree with you though ... The wooden ones are expensive. I don't think I've bought any skeins of yarn since I was a teenager. Me and my mum used the back of a chair to hook the skein over to wind it into a ball or we'd sit with the wool over our hands and arms apart while the other wound the ball. It made your arms ache!!! Phil just has to get in on the act doesn't he. I laughed out loud😂😂😺
Hi Snowiecat, I am enjoying using the swift ...... I would love a wooden one but they are too expensive!!! 😭😭 I have been getting skeins from the yarn festivals so needed to be able to wind them so I can use them. I can't wind by hand as I have a pin in my right shoulder so it would be too painful 😖😖
Phil is a born comedian!! He makes me laugh every day and always gets in on the act!! I swear some viewers only watch to see what he will get up to next!! 😉😉😁😁😁😁😁

The yarn winder,i have one the same,there is a catch to stop the metal pole from falling,you have to pull the pole as far out as it will go and it clicks into place,or tape it

Hi Sofia! I have the same winder, same metal bar problem. Solution - you have to pull the metal bar out very very hard. It will click. I googled the issue and there was a video! Enjoy!

Hi Sophia on your wool winder the bar you were holding pull it out further and it sort of jams in an upright position, I have the same one took me a while to figure it out love mine it also helps if you put some stick-on rubber thin matting on the bottom it helps it grip to the bench or table hope this helps you love Julie xxx
