Fuad Tholl a happy hunting ground for me being so close to my sons holiday home at Strathcarron. What a lovely approach on a beautifully engineered stalkers path. Coire Lair hills so accessible with its network of paths. Lovely time lapse.

Cheers Paul. Aye it's a nice hill, and worth squeezing in when you do Beinn Liath Mhòr and Sgorr Ruadh, if the legs are up for it at the time. It would probably only add an hour onto the time as it's the same path you take down from Sgorr Ruadh. The main obstacle is the river crossing in Coire Lair, which can be a pain if it's been heavy rain beforehand. About 30m or so downstream from the path is a wee island in the river where it's a bit easier to cross @ 14:21. Yeah i'll be sure to say hello if i spot you 👋. ATB.
Aye, Coire Lair is beautiful. The clouds were just perfect for timelapse. Can see them forming as the air rises and cools over the top of Maol Cheann-dearg, and the sun beams flowing across the landscape. Cheers.

That's a wonderful hike and great presentation ...no music/carparks /driving /hostels/guff about your getting there....just the outdoor sounds ...great variation in scenery and landscape ....something I at least could do even partially at 75!
Thanks Tom. Yeah it's a nice path for most of it, with just a wee steep pull up onto the ridge at the end. The scree path I took back down was firm under foot, so would also be easy enough to ascend there too. The main obstacle was the river crossing in Coire Lair, with recent rains and slippery rocks I decided just to take off the boots and wade. Cheers.
Watched this again before we were there at the weekend . Tis a mighty fine mountain. Dunno why I said I'd done Sgorr Ruadh as I hadn't. Am losing it like. 🤪😉

Aye, the paths in the area are fantastic, and so many routes to choose. First time I saw Coire Lair I was blown away by its beauty.
