Loving the crocs, must get some, I'm in the same boat Dave, need a drum, the hours I work, I'm struggling with cleaning the huge multibay filter, after a 13 hour day, but I manage, to clean my brushes and flush the poo out of the vortex, recently stripped my two bakki showers down and like you give the ceramic a good clean, twice a year, they are fed from a retro bottom drain and I use the same filter floss which I clean once a day, drum hopefully next spring and rip out then fit. Massive job, my filter area is only three foot wide but ten foot long. Great video mate.

Hi Terry, hope alls well in your world? I’ve got your video to watch 😊 Looking forward to it. I didn’t show it on film but media got a strong dose of virkon. I transfer koi between the pond anyway so my bio security is rubbish anyway 😂
Thanks for tuning in. Don’t panic, the media did receive a virkon treatment. My systems aren’t secure anyhow, fish I transferred between the two frequently. This is used as a grow on and I have a separate tank for quarantine when needed. 👍🏼👍🏼😬

I think it’s a credit to the filter floss, always grumble when I need to swap it over when clogged but happy I used it now. I love crocs! Just wish the kids would let me wear them out now 😭
I like that view from the decking. The drum would so benefit you and your set up. It night be worth trying a few topical treatment where you can see the damage on the fish. Just in case it is an infection rather than a bacterial problem, or if it is a small bacterial problem with a secondary infection.
The bakki showers never need cleaning they are highly oxygenated spaces so bad bacteria don't like this space but good bacteria love the bakki shower. cleaning the dirt in a shower is not going to help you.
I’ve seen plenty of showers like mine that aren’t properly pre-filtered struggle with a build up of crud. The pores get clocked and capacity for good bacteria growth is lost. My shower only runs at 10000lph so isn’t really self cleaning. I was chuffed to see that the filter floss had done its bit and that I was fussing over nothing. Hi Dave can I ask what timber you used for your jump guards please I’m in the process of making mine I’ve used some old roof battern looks ok also can I asked how you have attached the one over the window please
Hiya - I have a video on my channel from when I made them. I used a treated 2x1 batten. Sanded and painted. The one over the window is held in place by a single bracket on either side 👍🏼👍🏼

First time taken my shower party 4 time dirty then yours some of them do hole shit in them and if growth pond we supply by sack 15kg not to bad of price ever posted or pop down to our shop

Hi Luke. Showers do have a slight smell to them but not unpleasant. Sulphur/sewage smell isn’t right though. Are you pre-filtering it?
Yes mate comes through a pressure filter first the bad smell has gone now just a slight aroma thank god
