Note my schematic in an early segment is inaccurate, the .43 ohm resistors that was identified later on goes between the emitter of the lower transistor and ground.
Good job Richard! That is the fanciest, older Zenith SS Stereo system I have seen! I didn't know they had a capacitive touch function selector! Sounds very good!
Is there any use for a NOS audio output transistor for a car radio (Delco DTS-4060) you know way more than me about transistor equipment. This was a good repair! I just would've prolly put new filters in it and let it sit until I know more, lol!
I'm sure it has more uses than that, likely just a rebadged part for GM anyway. You're giving me too much credit, I just tinker with stuff, eventually I learn something.
Your most likely right. I can try to find a data sheet for it as I want to put it in use. I've tested it with a very crude test just to see if it'll work for lighting up an LED. Guess were in the same boat then, I'm just a tinkerer, when I find something I see life left in I'll pick it up and attempt to fix it. If I let out all the smoke then it's a learning experience! Theres a vacuum store here in town that's got a bunch of vintage vacuums (I may have told you about this already).
Is it another one of this specific model? I'm wondering if it's in the control selection circuitry or the actual multiplex. I've worked on the control system before.
@@richardhz-oi8px it's a 1967 lower end Zenith model. Single chassis. Five knobs and stereo switch. Got it as rescue with changer. Just fascinated with vintage Zenith

Anybody ever serviced an issue fm stereo light and phase doesn't work? Just fm. I'm thinking of making multiplex ic upgrade
