Fabulous video! I've done some small work to deox knobs and simple things, but I've purchased a z962 and trying to service everything and this video is helping me tremendously, bravo!
Amazing detailed video... very awesome for recording and posting. I picked up a similar 1966 with the same TT and going to do my best to restore it back ... Thank You!!
Just picked one of these up with the R2R. Currently does not power up, and someone has OBVIOUSLY already been in the unit :( Fuse was blown and I wanted to see if it would at least briefly power up with a replacement, but no luck. When time permits, the goal is to get it back up and functioning correctly! Thanks for the video.
Update: I am finally getting around to tinkering with the YT960 I picked up. I am wondering where you order your capacitors from. I am looking for those larger electrolytic cap values you used and am not finding them on the website I used to order from (mouser electronics). I'll also be ordering the turntable and R2R belts from Gary that you covered in your other video, so thank you again for documenting all of this!
I have a few questions. Do you have a list of which electrolytic capacitors needed to be axials & which were radials? Looking at the schematic for the 6yt24 they have two c127’s but no c132, do you think they messed up & one of the c127’s is supposed to be c132? Lastly, how do I get the tuning level to work? Currently the unit works & sounds good but I will still recap but I can’t figure out how to fix/adjust the tuning level above the fm light indicator. Thanks

Genius! Just amazing work. You are a treasure, saving audio treasures!
Scored a 64 magnavox for free. Needs cleaning and tlc. But everything works. Love these old wonderful pieces of furniture.
Excellent video!
thank you very much for the help, you saved me

Thanks so much for the video helped me out a lot. Looks like I need an idler arm spring. Do you know the part number? Or an online manual?
Photofact Set 660, folder 14
🙏 so much just what I needed

Wow. I'm very impressed, what happened when you completed all the restoration?
It was sold.....
I have one with a 60 Hz hum. I assume that it needs recapped?
Does anyone know where to find a schematic online?
Sure does....
Hi I have the same changer that was shown with Y 960 Zenith. My changer does not lift the arm anymore. Any solution or ideas are appreciated.
Have you pushed down on the tone arm housing and heard a click?
No When I push down on the tonearm it does not click.
