    One item I discovered on my recent trip to Alaska was trekking poles. Had them in my side pocket of my pack, which was my carry on. No issues flying up (same TSA so who knows) but returning in Kodiak, TSA security made me pull them . Bags were already checked so I made a makeshift wrap with a broken down box and duct tape and checked them. Could ha e left them but not leaving expensive carbon fiber poles. They ended up making it to Salt Lake airport fine but lesson learned.

      @@j.r.w6623 It went very smoothly. can't recall if you mention it in the vid, but make sure you have a lock for every hole on the case, and make sure they are TSA locks. One I had wasn't, but luckily the supervisor said it was ok. first agent was going to reject me.

      @@j.r.w6623 yeah, they have a little red TSA logo. the one agent might have been new, but was a jerk none the less. His supervisor was much more reasonable.

    Would a mystery ranch metcafe make it as a carry on Maybe just lightly packed?? Should I chance it ?

    My buddy has a gun case similar to that and he put a bunch of skiing stickers on it so people assume it’s skiing gear lol

    My Rifle is loaded into My Case so that My Scope is next to the side handle so that when I carrying the case by that handle, My Scope is resting on My Rifle and not My Rifle resting on My Scope.
    I also load with the Stock of My Rifle closest to the Wheels on the Case, in this way the heaviest part of the load is carried by My Wheels and not by My Hand.
    Also because I have to contend with Australian Gun Laws, (regardless of My ultimate destination) My Case contains only My Rifle. My Bolt, Magazine, Ammunition and everything else is packed elsewhere in My Luggage.

    What soft sided bag is that and is it lockable?

    • @GOHUNT
      @GOHUNT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the Sitka Nomad Bag. It doesn't have specific features for locking, but you could probably make something work if you wanted to lock the zippers.
