Acting like getting your own offensive rebounds is not a good thing or doesn’t mean as much is comical. Shaq was notorious for exactly that. And he’s one of the most dominant bigs to ever play the sport.

My main issue with Reese are her fans - who hate Caitlin Clark and all of us that are her fans, thinking we are just following her whiteness. They refuse to listen or look at stats.
Anyone that watched UConn in the tournament can see that Edwards can actually shoot a midrange shot, she’s strong, shes fast, and she tries really hard. Iowa had no answer for her and UConn almost won.
Stop being disingenuous. Caitlin has to run the offense while Angel Reese stays in one spot and gets rebounds. Angel is definitely number 2 for me, and if Caitlin was not putting up 20 and 30 point games with high assists and rebounds, it would be Angel. But handling the ball as well as Caitlin does makes this to easy. She is essentially the quarterback. Has she had bad games, yeah she has, but that is going to happen rookie or not. Some of her worst games were due to her teammates not setting screens or doing enough. Things seem to be turning now.
That is not how rookie of the year is determined. If your logic was correct, then only guards could win rookie of the year or MVP. CC fans know very little about basketball.
That’s simply not true. Just 2 games ago her “bad game” she had 7 points and 7 turnovers on 27% from the field and 16% from 3 lol that’s a bad game for every and any rookie lol
That's so true, she distributes the ball and creates shots for others that other rookies just don't do. She draws more attention than most superstar veterans.
@@ricksterbobolishious7523 that’s a stretch. Instead of giving credit to teammates carrying her you say she was a great distraction lol typical Clark fan. It’s honestly somewhat close, or has been the last 5 games. Sky are falling off though and fever have won a few now. Clark’s definitely in the lead but both of them still have a chance to win it. We aren’t even half way through the season yet…
It's a valid argument. Reese gets her double-doubles no matter the opponent. CC has her best games against the worst teams--something she did in college alot-- and fades to obscurity against the better teams who have the better perimeter defenders. I can tell you ahead of time whether she'll have a good game. Pretty soon she'll be playing the better teams again.
@@flamingoboot8874 she doesn’t have it won yet. Season is still young, if she doesn’t play well the 2nd half of the season and Reese does play well she won’t deserve it. But it’s her award to lose, if she keeps playing solid it’s her award for sure
Reese has zero offense. Half of her rebounds are from her own blown layups lol. Caitlin will win by a long shot. Shes just now starting to get comfortable. When she is comfortable watch out.
Lol I think y’all have been saying this since game 3 of the season. That when she gets comfortable she’s going to be great. She’s a rookie, she’s likely to remain inconsistent all season. She follows up 1 good game with 1 bad game. That’s what rookies do.
That’s not true. She had 13 rebounds vs the Fever and 8 were defensive, 2 were from her own misses and 3 were from other players’ misses. But one thing Angel should do is slow down and pass the damn ball to reset when she misses and gets the rebound. If she had a post game she’d have more patience but just rushes too much. Caitlin is the biggest talent, but they’re both special players to watch out for once they get comfortable. Angel will never be the shooter or playmaker that Caitlin is but she’s already showing point forward potential in the open court and had 5 assists last game. Caitlin on the other hand is bound to get a triple double very soon since she’s been close a couple of times. Her assist to turnover ratio is also positive now so she’s on the right track.
Against bad teams. This easy run for her is about to end. The Fever are going to have their hands full against the Mystics. Hell, they had their hands full last time when the Mystics had two of their best scorers out and were on a back-to-back. Mick Talks Hoops I do question exactly what you expect CC to do in order to be more consistent in her recent games. How well she plays often depends on how much CC is running the ball. Yes, it would be nice if she could develop her off ball, but when she is off ball, she is still facing unprecedented coverage, her teammates never set any screens to get her open & they rarely pass her the ball. So how exactly can she improve in games her coach has her playing off ball with those conditions? For ex. in the Atlanta game, give me some examples of plays she could have improved in that game? Yes she could have not taken frustration shots, but honestly, the majority of the 3ptrs she actually makes in every game are horrible looks, but they are the best looks she has gotten with the extreme coverage she is facing. CC is considered to play horribly anytime she gets less than 10 points. She was being heavily covered & only got shots when she brought the ball down herself, because her teammates rarely passed her the ball. So would you have considered that Atlanta game a good performance by CC if she only had 4-6 attempts instead of 11 but she still only scored 7 points?
I like CC but her having a good game or bad game is related to the quality of the opponent. When the defense is very tough, she has a bad game. She will season and become a great player but this transition to the WNBA is a learning curve for all rookies.
I know it counts, but if you can’t make your shots on top of the basket and it hits the bottom of the rim every time and it and you get it back. Put it back up and miss again get the rebound again, does that really make you a great rebounder. Her offensive boards are all her misses. She legit misses ALL of her shots and gets the rebound. We all know this and see this, how come nobody points this out in videos?!?
That’s simply not true. Around 1/3 of her offensive rebounds are her own misses. She also boxes out so her teammates can grab the rebounds. Yes she’s mediocre offensively but rebounding and boxing out are skills and she’s relentless at that. You make it seem like the other team just lets her rebound, but in reality she’s working for it and it’s their loss for giving up 2nd and 3rd chances. If she couldn’t rebound she wouldn’t be scoring over 10 points per game and wouldn’t be one of the top rookies but here she is.
Go ahead and try it when the paint is congested. See how many times you can grab the rebound off your miss against bigger, stronger opposing players. It's not nearly as easy as you think. If you'd played you would know.
🏀ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 🏀Caitlin Clark should easily be Rookie Of The Year. Caitlin's current WNBA status average so far this year : 16.2 ( PTS ) , 6.6 ( AST ),5.4 ( DRB ) , 1.3 ( STL ) , 5.2 ( TOV ). She is a Excellent passer , She has double coverage on her most of the time which actually frees up at least one of her teammates , She is fast and quick just as good at making those two pointers as well as the three pointers. The BONUS IS " CC has a HUGE FAN Base who Love Her .. :)
The thing missing from the stats is the double team pressure that is constantly on CC. We also have the problem of her team mates not feeding her the ball very often. CC stats would be much higher with a team that actually supports her. CC's team is also trash so that when she passes and one of the fat cows that can't catch the ball, it turns out to become a turn over for CC.
A trade of Aaliyah Edwards for Angel Reese, who wins that trade? Imho, Sky. Aaliyah Edwards fills a big need Sky has, the need for a playmaker to space the floor. So Carter, Mabrey can cook. And Kamilla can clean the glass. That, and the potential for Edward's to be a franchise player is there.
Terrible trade for Washington. Angel is only doing well because of the team she went to trusts her and wants to let her try to do it all. If they wanted Angel they could’ve picked her and people had their doubts on Aaliyah early on, but she has the stronger skillset overall. Without T Spoon as a coach Angel wouldn’t be near where she’s going now in my opinion (shooting more than 10 shots per game, handling the ball in the open court, shooting mid range and 3s etc.)
I'll agree it's Caitlin if Ariel Atkins - 1st team WNBA Defender in 2023. 4x 2nd team before that - covers Caitlin and CC still shines. Last game DC had her guard Kelsey and CC was scoring 30 against slow footed Samuelson sister.
Yeah, at one point in that game CC hit 3 straight 3-pointers against Samuelson so they put her on Kelsey who promptly hit two straight 3's. I'm thinking this girl couldn't guard a statue.
It's a fair ranking. Brink does alter shots quite a bit even when she's not blocking them, but she's still fouling like a maniac. Rickea is just starting to get comfortable. The Sparks coach is a huge problem because he takes Rickea out of the game for substitution pattern reasons, so Rickea could be on a shooting streak and then get subbed out for Lexie Brown because it's the 6 minute mark of the quarter.
Brink has potential to be more than a pretty defensive role player. I mean Curry taught her how to shoot. Plays can be run for her. I don't know if she's shy or it's the coach.
@@diIbert She has potential but she's not a good shooter; she rushes her shots and lacks post moves. I think it's bad coaching because she's used as a floor spacer like Katie Lou when she's not a reliable shooter.
Every rookie who averaged a double double during their debut season won ROTY. Angel Reese is on a great path to win ROTY, especially if Clark continues to turn the ball over at a record clip. Also the narrative that Reese gets most of her rebounds from her own misses is laughably false. She's averaging 1.7 ''self'' rebounds per game.
If Caitlin Clark doesn't win ROTY these people will storm the Capitol again . Caitlin Clark is guaranteed to be awarded that prize, especially if her team makes a respectable push for the last playoff spot .
I think CC will win ROTY, and here is why. Fever have already played the toughest part of their schedule. They are starting to get it together. CC is starting to get use to the W style of play. During the Olympics break, she is going to get rest and work on her game. She is going to be better in last half of the season that she is now and she is already setting records.
It wouldn’t surprise if Aaliyah Edwards actually plays the best but Caitlin ends up winning because of politics and pressure from her obnoxious fan base. It’s going to be a tough competition between Reese, Edwards and Clark.
It’s called ‘upside’. Look into this term. CC has a massive upside. Reese can improve but it will be just in the areas of post play. cc will ultimately be averaging a triple double.
Don’t think you understand how hard it is to average a triple double in the W. Especially when someone like Clark’s likes to shoot even more than she does pass. Alyssa Thomas is only scoring 12 per game and still can’t get up to 10 assists per game.
@@yngtrey1638 Alyssa Thomas has a post-up game, a mid-range shot. Plays are called for Alyssa Thomas. Angel has none of the above. Angel camps the paint, thats her game.
@@diIbert I was speaking of Clark’s potential to average a triple double not Reese’s lol, Reese has no chance to average a triple double, that’s not her game
@@yngtrey1638 I don’t understand how ‘hard’ it is? Really? Read my comment again, the issue is CC’s upside. She will record the most 20 pts/5 rebound/5 assists in the HISTORY of the game in her rookie year. That will only get better. She is already doing HISTORICAL things in that ‘tough’ league. Facts are indisputable.
Really? Clark can setup, pass, play d if she is having an off shooting night, while Reese does the same thing, her rebounds are inflated for her own misses which she was supposed to make, she cannot even block shots, imagine as a forward 2 total blocks compared to clark's 15
CC's stats this season are mis-leading. She is playing in a poor team, which to me seems to resent her. Her coach is having to accept she can't control 22, because her fans have eyes and can see she is not favored, and will speak on her behalf. If the coach and the team put in 25% more effort, anything can happen.
No one is being guarded like Caitlin And she’s going to get better No way Angel overtakes her She’s not that good except playing physical and rebounding her own shots

What logic are you using? You just said Caitlin right now has the best record ever of any rookie in the WNBA. Yet you feel based on what you have seen that Angel will surpass her as rookie of the year. If Angel improves what is there to stop Caitlin from improving also. Smh.
I wish Reese had a 20% of Rekea jacson's talent and I also wish Rekea had 20% of Reese's confidence. Reese is where she is because she is so ignorant and can not evaluate her game objectively. The best player in this rookie is Rekea Jackson, but she is lazy and lacks confidence. She is very beautiful female player, but she goes under radar and she is not as abnoxious as Reese is. Clark is somewhat overrated, but still a good player.

One thing people don’t want to tune in for is watching a TH-cam content creator who is wrong. This is only close in the minds of people who don’t understand what the players are responsible for. :)
Yep vanloo underated, tbf the mystics have a lot of talent, despite their start to their season
I agree with this list .
They just have some key injuries
Kate money Martin should be on the fever with her best friend Catilin Clark. They played together for years.
Oh yeah she can actually catch passes too
Kate is showing us why Iowa was so good. She never got the credit and was still a great teammate!
If Caitlin Clark doesn't win ROTY these people will storm the Capitol again . Caitlin Clark is guaranteed to be awarded that prize, especially if her team makes a respectable push for the last playoff spot .
Ok, Mick........Really....do you nap between contriving new and interesting topics? Enjoying the ride!

I'll never understand why they feel the need to add 4-6 inches to everybody's heights in basketball. They do it with the men too.
It wouldn’t surprise if Aaliyah Edwards actually plays the best but Caitlin ends up winning because of politics and pressure from her obnoxious fan base. It’s going to be a tough competition between Reese, Edwards and Clark.
Been picking Vanloo in my all star selection, along with Miss Caitlin
It’s called ‘upside’. Look into this term.
CC has a massive upside. Reese can improve but it will be just in the areas of post play.
cc will ultimately be averaging a triple double.
Don’t think you understand how hard it is to average a triple double in the W. Especially when someone like Clark’s likes to shoot even more than she does pass. Alyssa Thomas is only scoring 12 per game and still can’t get up to 10 assists per game.
She can be the best Denise Rodman of the league. But she will still need her Jordan her Pippen.
The only way cc has a bad game is if her teammates and or coaches ice her out. 11 shots isn’t enough as it is
He seem to be thinking hypotheticals.. Caitlin Clark only needs one more 20 5 , 5 game to make WNBA historical Rookie record.
CC will win it. The girl is different. And she’s going to figure it out and be more consistent. Guaranteed
CC's stats this season are mis-leading. She is playing in a poor team, which to me seems to resent her. Her coach is having to accept she can't control 22, because her fans have eyes and can see she is not favored, and will speak on her behalf. If the coach and the team put in 25% more effort, anything can happen.
Name another rookie or for that matter superstar in the WNBA that is double and triple teamed Almost the entire game… It’s ridiculous
No one is being guarded like Caitlin
And she’s going to get better
No way Angel overtakes her
She’s not that good except playing physical and rebounding her own shots
Angel Reese is the best offensive rebounder only because she rebounds her own bricks. She's worse than her stats.
Is NIka Muhl not getting on the court? I'm sad. :( I liked her in the NCAA and I loved the video where she thanked her head teacher.
I think if Cardosa gets faster at collecting the runner on a pick and roll screen, she easily moves up a rank or two.
If Kamilla ever develops a post-up game. I'll marry her.
Will this move EACH game?
There’s over 30 games left

Vanloo is good. But she is 31. Sorry. I can’t consider her a rookie.
That would be like Sara Scalia coming to the WNBA in 7 years and being really good.
Rickea and Especially Reese made me a fan of the WNBA I don’t even care about the NBA Anymore
What logic are you using? You just said Caitlin right now has the best record ever of any rookie in the WNBA. Yet you feel based on what you have seen that Angel will surpass her as rookie of the year.
If Angel improves what is there to stop Caitlin from improving also.
Smh.
Delusional Mick CC is just getting warmed up __
Wait! With these 'metrics'...how can it be argued that Caitlin Clark is not the best Rookie in the WNBA?
International players that did not attend college in the US can be drafted at 19 or 20.
Half of Angel Reese's rebounds are her own missed shots...give me a break!
Why do you think C. Clark is going to have some bad games. Tell me something okay ❤❤❤❤
Vote Clark for All-Star Team, Now!
CC will win it. It will be close, but she will win it.
❤ CC 22
7 of 13, enough said.
Cam Brinks>>>>>> Angel Reese. Cam has more game.
Angel Reese is Andre Drummond of the wnba lol
Caitlin has great defense and she can rebound and pass the ball when she has a bad game
Are you being funny?
You make no sense sometimes.
They’re both showing you who they are and you’re still insistent on Reese.
Weird.
Reese o rebounds are off lot of her on misses right under the basket. I would take Edward's over her.
This guy really bought a WNBA sweater 😂
Bought it years ago
@@MickTalksHoops Reese going to be rookie of the year huh? 😂😂😂😂 after saying Clark on pace to break rookie records, yea I’m sure someone that misses her layups and catches her own rebounds will be the best rookie at the end of the year
One thing people don’t want to tune in for is watching a TH-cam content creator who is wrong. Definitely going to be bad for you when you have been cheerleading for Angel Reese all year for RotY, and then Caitlin wins RotY. This is only close in the minds of people who don’t understand what the players are responsible for. When Caitlin is having a bad game, she is still keeping 2 defenders on her and opening up the whole floor. You really need to go take a coaching class or read some books, because you are fine on the top layer, but you lack any real knowledge of basketball. I like listening to the channel, but the lack of knowledge hurts, and I’m guessing you are just click baiting with the Angel Reese RotY takes.

Reese and most of the women are awkward, clumsy and unwatchable. Clark and a few are exciting, Clark particularly because of her long range shooting.
