    With the CANON 11-22mm STM M will I be able to blur out the background when auto focus zooming?

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, Omar Antulio! Not very much, it starts at an f4, there will be some blur, if you are very close to the camera, or of you film a small subject close to the lens, but it is not going to be much blur. Can't expect like a nice portrait shot of someone with a blurry background. Greetings!

      what about the 15-45 that comes with it?

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the 15 45 @ 45mm wide open f3.5 and a close up subject you can blur the background. Bokeh also looks nice I think. @ 15mm not very much blur either...
      What subject do you want to shoot? People? flowers?

    Have really enjoyed watching your very informative vlogs. Finally added a Canon EOS M6 to my gear, thanks for all the useful information regarding this camera. Very happy with the camera and the microphone issue when vlogging really isn't an issue it's an easy fix. Thanks again. 👍🙂

    Hi! Thanks for the quality videos, I would be getting my first decent camera and would like to ask your opinion. Though I am not interested in vlogging, I watch your videos to see how samples look from the cameras. The canon eos m3 and the sony a5100 is priced equally here in my country. which camera do you think would produce the better image quality and would be suitable for everyday carry and photography (street, macro, portrait, low light, etc etc.) thank you in advance

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Miguel de Guzman! Thanks for the nice comment! Much appreciated:)
      For stills, since neither of the cameras have an optical viewfinder anyway, I definitely recommend the A5100.
      Usability isn't as good as with the M3, because the A5100 has no touch screen and the menu design is also better with the M3, as is the battery life, BUT.....
      ....the better image quality hands down you will get from the A5100. Simply the better sensor, processing and dynamic range wise.....sometimes a slightly green tint, which can easily be corrected in post production.....lightroom for example....and WAY better AF system than the M3, also way better in lowlight than the M3 AF.
      So my recommendation for photography is definitely the A5100.
      Hope that helps you out a little. More questions, just ask. Greetings!

    Awesome vid thx, I'm going to get the M6, dose it work well with a tameron lense 18-250 ef-s off a canon dslr with the adapter?

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, MeVM41! Thanks, much appreciated:)
      I don't know....I once used a tamron 70-300 on my nikon back in the day, but I haven't ever used on on my 70d or my m6 with the adapter. For what it's worth the tamron worked well with the nikon in photo mode....sorry, wish I had a better answer:) Greetings!

    I have Canon EOS M6 with EF-M 18-150 mm lens kit and EF-M 11-22 mm.
    There will be dark shadow in right bottom of photo when using M6's internal flash at wide side of both lens 18-150 mm & 11-22 mm. I will consider not to use its internal flash further.
    The camera is highlighted for selfie as its LCD can be tilted upwards. However, I cannot use the internal flash to light up my photo during selfie due to poor design even I take photo by Canon EF-M zoom lens. It should be better to use some compact camera or cell phone instead.

      I have to check that out with my 11 22...that never occurred to me as of now.....that of course would be a perfect definition of a design flaw....unfortunately......

    HEY TUBE. why does my iPhone not always reckoning the rose video mic me?

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What iPhone do you use? Does it still have a 3.5mm input, or just a single lightning input?
      It should of course work all the time.....are you using different apps to record video/audio?
      Are you, by any chance, using a cheap adapter cable?:)

    • @AM2PMReviews
      @AM2PMReviews 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TubeNoob it’s the regular TRRS jack 6Splus

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe there's something wrong with the TRRS input.....I mean, it is basically a plug and play deal with the video mic ME......is it a third party app that you use, or does the problem occur with the standard camera app?
      Did the phone ever get wet?
      Seems to me that one of the devices is malfunctioning.
      The only other thing is that sometimes the mic isn't plugged in ALL THE WAY, but it seems like it is....Usually one more "klick" and it sits correctly. Maybe check that as well.....

    • @AM2PMReviews
      @AM2PMReviews 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TubeNoob it is a fully functional phone but I noticed a lot of people say the same thing. The iPhone seems to be confused and thinks it's just headphones. Sometimes I having to unplug and plug it back in multiple times and it might cut audio during recording randomly

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mh....haven't used the 6sPlus yet, but I have used the mic with a 5S and a SE...that worked just fine....does it maybe come loose a little while recording. The things not being plugged in all the way is my best guess here, aside from a malfunction. Sorry....wish I had a better answer:)

    for video purpose whitch is better EOS M3 or SL2?

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      SL2. Hands down. Way better AF for video, easier to handle with a mic. Same touch screen, but better video timelapse function.
      Here's an SL2 setup if you're interested: th-cam.com/video/ft1pNc-qLZg/w-d-xo.html

    Which one good canon m6 (lens kit) or olympus pen f (lens kit) for video vlogging inside home . Im looking for sharpness and fast focusing . Dont mind if no jack mic .

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, CyChan Channel! I would go with the EOS M6, because of the dual pixel AF system. Far more reliable and precise than the contrast detect system of the olympus. With the M6 you won't have to guess whether your face is in focus or not, it simply will be. Definitely the M6 when vlogging is your main use.
      As far as external audio option go for the m6 to still be able to use the flip up screen, here's some videos that might be of interest to you:
      Compact solution: th-cam.com/video/4sSvPTE5IMA/w-d-xo.html
      Bigger mic: th-cam.com/video/7shX5yw-oPQ/w-d-xo.html
      Hope that helps you out a little. Greetings!

    What causes the difference in image quality especially in dinamic range? Cause they both have the same 24 mp and aps-c sensors

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, David! That must be the doing of the Digic 6 vs the Digic 7 internal image processing. Why they changed it to what the M6 now does I don't know...Maybe many people wanted better highlight handling....so they sacrificed some dynamic range on the other end of the spectrum...why they didn't just leave the shadows alone and only took care of the highlights i don't know...they could have....

    anybody know how or if you can take screenshots of a video on the m3?? thanks!!

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Javi! Do you mean in post production or while you record?
      With the M3 you can simply fully press down the shutter button, to take a picture while recording. That will get you a freeze frame with no sound except the "camera shutter release click" in the video track though.
      In postproduction every software I have used can export a screenshot from the timeline. If that was your questions - which software do you use?
      Hope that helped you out. Greetings!

    Canon eos m3 or Sony a5100?!

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey, Mr College Vlogs! Depends...
      If you are ok with short bursts of video and no external audio, then the A5100 has the better image quality and the far superior AF system.
      If you also want to do talking head stuff or like to do long takes, go with the EOS M3, because it doesn*t overheat like the A5100.
      The A5100 is a diva that excels at video quality and AF performance, but will trouble you if you want to do long takes because of the overheating.
      The M3 is a reliable workhorse of a camera. It is slow, but it won't overheat in any weather, it has a touch screen, which the A5100 does not offer and you can hook up external audio like this: th-cam.com/video/q88p4CdchmI/w-d-xo.html
      Should you go M3 - go with the 15 45 stm m or the 11 22 stm m lens. The 18 55 kit lens is good for stills, but if you want to use it for video work/vlogging it has to be wider on the wide end than 18mm with a 1.6 crop. The 15 45 at least gives you a 24mm full frame equivalent, which is imho the bare minimum for vlogging.
      Hope that helps you out a little. More questions....just ask. Greetings!

      TubeNoob thanks a lot for the prompt reply! I'm in search for an affordable camera with good mic for walk around videos of cars and to make cinematography of cars since it's my hobby. Leaning towards the m3 over the 5100 and g7x mark II. Please let me know if there are other cameras I should check out that won't break the bank lol

    • @mrcollegevlogs8512
      @mrcollegevlogs8512 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      TubeNoob also, is the m3 that bad with autofocus? Once again I'm only going to be walking around cars so I don't think having the best autofocus is necessary but as long as it doesn't always act up

    • @Mark10ProVideo
      @Mark10ProVideo  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Panasonic G7: Really high quality 4k video from that one, but AF isn't very good for video, but it'S workable. Can*T just turn it on and expect it to deliver the best results possible. Learning curve involved here.
      Somewhat more expensive, but pretty good allrounder: Canon SL2 or 200D. Great AF in live view, easy to install higher quality external mic.
      Ever though about simply upgrading your smartphone? You can do really cool stuff with say a samsung galaxy s7 or s7 edge....there's the samsung lens cover and the rode video mic me for example....
      G7X Mark II: I would go Mark I. The important upgrades are all stills related. AF system, working ISO, video modes, sensor, all virtually the same as with the g7x. Nicer grip though on the mark II.
      Hope that helps you out a little.
      Greetings!
