Vertuo arrived day before yesterday and I have coffee nerves from making and drinking twelve cups/mugs of espresso, double espresso and coffee. What can I say, I love this machine. I live alone and love the single cup concept. I also love the ease of setting the water level for each size of pod. I can't say I liked any of the free coffees that came with the Vertuo but enjoyed all of the espressos. Nothing is perfect, though. The Vertuo does not make a hot serving of espresso or coffee. Yes, I can pre-heat the drinking containers but this should be an option, not a necessity. Also, I purchsed the Vertuo based exclusively on cost and one recommendation. If I was purchasing with my current level of knowledge I would have purchased a higher level machine. How much higher? Don't know yet. If your interested, I drink an Austrian coffee - Dowe Egbert (sp), have for more than twenty years. I don't really mind making up my own pods. I make them all in a down time and xan control te strength. I truly recommend this machine. It is the best I have experienced as a "all coffee types" machine

When you put the pod inside, put the top down and lock it into place, small steel tubes pierce the edges of the pod all the way around then the water is injected into the pod while the machine spins it at 7000 rpm to mix the coffee and create the foam on top. It then is drawn out and poured into your cup.
Dear Nespresso, I was forced to purchase the original line as the I gave been waiting years and the vertuo line is not in South Africa. When will it come?

Haiyang Qiao You don't want it only for the looks for that price. Lot of negative revieuws here in NL. It leaks water, cubs kept stuck , have to use a fork to get it free, lots of problems with noisy machines. The wifi doesn't work . And so on and on. The coffee is okay but for that price you expect not so many issues after a month. Its all plastic, where is the good old quality that we are used from Nespresso. But you are free to buy, here they are priced down and a lot of buyers are trying to get it sold on second hand sites, but it is not easy because everyone knows about it. Good luck with it.

The very nice gentleman on the video claims that the aluminium capsules that have an inside coating of plastic are "easily recyclable" ... really? They cannot be recycled by any UK council waste depot because they are made of mixed material - instead you have to give them back to Nespresso, very convenient, not! And how confusing for new Nespresso customers - should they go for this 'centrifusion' technology (trademarked by Nestle in Switzerland) or go for the conventional capsule model that requires high pressure to infuse the coffee. Anyone who buys a capsule coffee maker needs to have their brain investigated.

Does it have a crema valve? The old machines have, they can't compete with a real machine without, building pressure by pressed coffee.
