  • In this episode, we spend a few more days at Nossob Rest Camp before we start our journey to the Botswana side of the park known as Mabuasehube.
    We come across some Cheetah that gives us the perfect show with the stupendous landscape of the Kgalagadi in the background.
    We find some young lion that was, unfortunately, playing with a plastic bottle. We did not let this get the better of us and we rather focussed on the behaviour of these lions.
    We also have one of our best all-time sightings in the park, even though it was short-lived. A caracal that was hunting. Something we will never forget.
    Hope You Enjoy

    Outstanding footage of your trips, loving the bird action you guys filmed. It's such an under looked at category, but makes the trips complete & we find you notice more by viewing the magical bird life that Africa has to offer. I have a question, whom do you use to book campsites in Botswana? We're looking for someone to help us book a trip for the 2024 season & find it really difficult to book directly with the Botswana agencies. Keep the video's coming & Thanks Dirk

      Thanks. We agree. When you focus on the smaller things on a drive then the "bigger" things come to you.
      We book with DWNP themselves. I normally send an email and then phone them a few hours later. If you keep sending emails it ends up at the back of the queue.
      Also, try BigFoottours. They charge an additional fee though

      Thanks for the info it will help, we live in the southern states area, with a 7 hour time difference, emailing back & forth doesn't work well. On our last trip in 2019 we used a 3rd party but didn't like him much. Keep up the video's, your a natural & an excellent videographer.

    Great vid, planning to go there once my 4x4 skills are more refined. You mentioned using 4 high in the sand.. Why did you not consider using 4 low? Did a trail recently where it was majority loose sand like that and used 4 low which made the trail effortless.

    • @OurLifeInAfrica
      @OurLifeInAfrica  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi. Our 4x4 skills are not of the best as well, but we learn by error.
      The track isn’t all dunes. It has long straight sections as well where we used 4high. The dunes were mostly done in 4low with lockers.
      Thanks for watching.
