- We finally made it to Mindanao, Philippines! We're starting our adventure in the biggest city, Davao City. After spending the first few days in Davao I'll be going around and exploring more of the island.
Whenever you research information about Mindanao, all you see is advisories saying not to visit. Everyone known Mindanao as a very dangerous island, so my goal is to see how life is really like there. In the biggest city Davao, we'll be exploring the malls and night market before going to more cities around the island.

that news about Mindanao not safe, is like around 30 years ago. Mindanao is much safer than Mexico due to their Cartel Problem. time has change enjoy life and have fun.
Davao and most of Mindanao is actually safer than the capital though. By the way, there are three SM malls in Davao City, the one you entered to is the smaller one. Try SM lanang premier next time.
100% felt that way too! The media makes Mindanao seem like this super dangerous place that you shouldn’t visit, and I’m glad I got to see the real side of it. I’ll check it out!

Generally on the present time Mindanao is peaceful and has a lot to offer for tourists.
