Hey Robb, awesome channel man. I’m a 16 year old drummer and do covers on TH-cam. To celebrate Rust In Peace’s 30th anniversary I was part of a full album cover. Megadeth will be part of metal history for centuries. 🤘🤘
Loved hearing about the parental struggles with your 16 year old. My 16 year old is pretty much identical to yours...gaming, swearing, isn’t interested in driving, quick meals with the family....he does play drums and is pretty good for a relative beginner with no lessons..picked up double bass like a champ...loves metal...I’m very proud. Much love from down the road in Santa Clara! 🤘🏻
I think what I like most about these is Robb just lets his guests talk. He listens and deosnt interupt so we great stories etc especially from some one like Ellefson who has lots to tell!
Your show is killer rob!love it! I’m from Ireland 🇮🇪 🤣forget about the flavoured stout, you would be turfed out of Ireland for that!Guinness all the way!did you ever try brandy and baileys?🤘🏻🔥 Happy new year 🥳
Robb, get Nightwish singer Floor Jansen on this podcast!! She said in a recent interview that Machine Head was one of the first metal bands she listened to!
Killer. I’m gonna watch this for sure. Robb - your excellent show continues. David Ellefson is such an awesome dude and a brilliant musician to boot. Only guy whose stuck with Mustaine for so many years.
That was an awesome chat with David. Thank you for asking about Mustaine’s reaction to Kill’em All. I’ve never heard it talked about in depth like that, not even in either of the two Dave’s books. Can’t wait for part 2. Cheers🍻
Great interview! I really like Dave's storytelling. I don't blame Kirk for the solo's, i mean what was he supposed to do in fuckin one week writte em all? It was even hard to learn all the songs and then to rewritte all the solos, come on. He did a great job, it's even better that there are "Dave's" solos still there.
Robbio, cracking me up hearing you talk about your son's. Why are today's youth such slackers?!? I would've gone nuts to go drive a bad ass car when I was a teenager in the mid 80's. I always wanted to be out of the house doing cool shit.
I had a friend who was heavy into tape trading back in the 80's. He had the demo then a copy of "Killing" before it was released...we were amazed when we heard "Mechanix" and were like what the??? They do a Metallica song??? Haha! You never forget your FIRST, and "Killing" will always be my favorite.
Very few bass players go 'full out' with a pick but he does and he has done it to perfection. If you want to check out another metal band that is on point with the bassist check DRIs 'definition'. Bass guitar is crucial to music yet too many bands never achieve that magic mix where all the band members are BOSS MODE. Usually bands rely on vocals, guitars or drums which is entirely cool but as I said when ALL instruments are 'present' that's when things can get 'next level'.
Meh, I don't think it was that bad. The songwriting wasn't great. Their are some really good ones though:Rattle head, Looking down the cross, Love you to death, and the title track
@@allsystemsgo8678 I remember thinking it didn’t sound as good as Ride The Lightning, which isn’t fair. Dave’s vocals caught me off guard also. I knew it was good, just always thought it should of been on par to what Peace Sells was .

I watch you on you on the instagram! You're pretty good .. Cover After World Obliteration by Terrorizer
David seems like the most wholesome dude in all of metal.
this aged badly
@@poisonwasthecur3 uh ohh, what happened?
@@poisonwasthecur3 well the accusations were proven false by both Ellefson and the girl. A noninvolved 3rd party was the one trying to “expose” him
@@mattf5855 oh he was exposed.. lol. He sent nasty videos to a 18 year old.. it’s gross
@@grahfkarate1799 Well...that's not exactly how that went, but the facts aren't nearly as cool so...

LOL. Let your kids swear. The apple falls not far from the tree :-)
I realized what a rock star Ellefson was when I saw Megadeth without him.

My opinion, The production on Killing is .... was lacking compared to Metallica’s debuts. I think they would’ve exploded bigger.
Everything was lacking, Peace Sells was a major improvement on all areas.
