@leadme2thebliss21 ray covered every song you could think of when we were younger. I'll tell you a cool story, when we were in high-school, Ray had posters all over hid bedroom walls of guys like George Lynch, Billy Sheehan, basically all the big metal bands of the 80s. Fast forward a few decades and there's videos all over TH-cam of Ray jamming with a lot of those same amazing musicians we once idolized! Pretty cool right.

Back in 2009 or 10 Love and death came to niverville, MB and a friend of mine knew the driver for the band. Asked him to ask Brian if we could meet him before the show, and he said yes. So I went in and had his book with me, Brian instantly grabbed it and signed it for me, asked me if I was in a band, he could tell I was a guitarist, I guess based on how I look. Great podcast Rob , its so great to see Brian open op so nice , and the reason is that he knows you for so long . Its not like on other interviews when they keep asking him about Korn and he gives same response. Love this keep it up.
When Brian mentioned playing shows being sick, what immediately came to mind is when Robb got really sick in early 2018. Nice Interview. I think my most favourite Korn album would be 'Issues'. That one had been with me through some rough times back then. Still gettin goosebumps listening to the song 'Trash'.
I saw Korn on their first UK tour in 1995 at The Boardwalk in Manchester. It was £5 on the door and the debut album had still not been released in the UK. How did I hear about Korn? Robb Flynn mentioned this cool new band in Kerrang! magazine.
Having met Brian a few times through my band performing and on the scene in general, he’s such a good dude. Always took the extra time just to catch up and give a damn.
It's funny how Head brings up how their album "Issues" is a "return to form" in a sense and how it's one of his favorite Korn records. I completely agree. I've been saying the same thing for years and most people thought I was crazy. I always thought Issues was such an underrated and underappreciated album. The raw emotion and production is just out of this world good. The chrous on "Somebody Someone" alone helped me get through a rough detox. It's such a powerful song and the whole album is crazy trip. I'm glad Head feels the same way. Awesome podcast Robb. You are really becoming a master at this good sir.

1:04:19 This is like Brian Welch is describing me. I was the same way....I was skinny most of my life, insecure. You want me to talk to a girl, I need to have few shoots, before that, to open up....No way I would do it otherwise..Then I started drinking some more, and more. Then I did some crazy shit, driving my car through red light..I would get into the fights, borrowing money to drink more, had sex with girls in my car..Now I`am 44 years old....Then I was like 22 or something....it was a crazy time forme for sure...
Love Brian!!..I am the same I had no self confidence and self hatred since birth it took me to my later 40's to come out it .. I had so many flaws and was a hard Chick to crack according to my potential suitors back in the day and still now hahaha and after some abusive relationships ...I am single and have been for 11 years no dating!!.... I was super picky in dating and hyper sensitive to my flaws .. and thank you gentlemen for being candid and open about your insecurities also ..This is a great conversation to show your vulnerability to the opposite sex..and deep down we all have something, no matter who we are.. I could relate in many ways in this conversation ...Just an awesome all around pod cast!! Thank You and quite hilarious hahahaha
So when you listen to Love and Death it definitely sounds familiar which makes me think HEAD is the rhythm architect of KORN. L-n-D is so damn good.... I love Head's journey. Great guy and a true artist.
wow - i had a deep conversation with Brian one time in dallas texas and we were both 100% sober ... i thought he was really kind & genuine & i was the one who felt very insecure & insignificant while talking to him at the time in my life .... and honestly i did not even think of him as a famous rock star nor did not care about anything to do with korn music 🤣🤣🤣 humble soul i only was able to meet him because of my friend & boss Vinnie Paul Abbott 💖 i always remember how nice Brian was to me - thank you for being real ✌🏼 and sharing your story a lot of my family moved to Bakersfield California in the 1940s from Oklahoma and still live there -crazy i use to go visit there when i was a little kid 🤣

Great show! You guys are awesome. I like Brian; he's honest and humble enough to admit when he's gone overboard and own up to his mistakes. My condolences to Brian Post's friends and family.
Hi Brian.... I pray Jesus leads you to read this. I don't know you or your music, but remember you joining a conference at the gathering in Moravian falls in 2015. I was visiting from the uk. I didn't speak to you, but you were introduced briefly to us by Brian the pastor. The Lord has put you on my heart so so much this week? I have lifted you in prayer and could see that strongman that holds you. The Lord knows, He knows your innermost being and He wants to release you! He never gives up on us. He loves you so much Brian and I had these verses for you Romans 8:38-39 and 2 Corinthians 5:17 ... bless you so much in Jesus mighty name!
Brian had a real experience with Christ & when something great happens to you, you want to share it. So when he said he went crazy with it at first, that’s normal. Finding balance is the key. It’s true, anything in extreme is bad whether it’s food, alcohol, drugs or religion. It’s nice finding people you love & respect feel the same way. Great interview ❤️
@@zoescarborough4336 "So many people are judging him"? Wait a minute, was Brian not judging Christians? ".....cause there's nothing worse than a freakin’ irritating, you know, religious person shoving it down your throat and there is nothing worse than that and you saw in the documentary, Jonathan saying I hate those mother f*ckers and so you know it, people can't stand em.....'" 52:00-53:00 There is a right way to judge and a wrong way to judge. Reread Matthew 7:1-5, John 8:7, John 7:19, John the Baptist judged, The Apostles judged. The Bible says Christians are commanded to judge RIGHTOUSLY. So the BIG question do you think Brian judged righteously here? Doesn't the Bible say not to judge humanistically, that is by human standards rather than by God’s law? Something to think about.
@@WatchtowerofBabel you make a good point. I believe there HAS to be a balance between the two though. Me personally? I didn’t interpret his words as him judging other Christians. I interpreted it as him judging HIMSELF and taking responsibility. If he felt like HE was shoving his beliefs down people’s throats, thats his personal walk, his personal life. I believe its not up for us to judge what he meant and cast him out without hearing him out. Thats all :)
Ridiculous comments against Brian. It is difficult to think that's why people judge. Brian is such a good dude, and this was a great chat. Thanks Robb, thanks Brian!!
I really wish I’d thrown up when I did Heroin because I wouldn’t of continued to do it for 17yrs!!
Best. Podcast. Ever.
So when you listen to Love and Death it definitely sounds familiar which makes me think HEAD is the rhythm architect of KORN. L-n-D is so damn good.... I love Head's journey. Great guy and a true artist.
Korn & Machine Head Tour!!! Make it happen!!
Yeah!!!! Brian!!
I freakin LOVE Korn. Always have and always will!
The part about Ray liking everything on Instagram, haha
wow - i had a deep conversation with Brian one time in dallas texas
and we were both 100% sober
... i thought he was really kind & genuine & i was the one who felt very insecure & insignificant while talking to him at the time in my life ....
and honestly i did not even think of him as a famous rock star nor did not care about anything to do with korn music 🤣🤣🤣
humble soul
i only was able to meet him because of my friend & boss Vinnie Paul Abbott 💖
i always remember how nice Brian was to me - thank you for being real ✌🏼 and sharing your story
a lot of my family moved to Bakersfield California in the 1940s from Oklahoma and still live there -crazy i use to go visit there when i was a little kid 🤣
M' a year late but u guy's jus' awesome..jus' ❤ your brutal honesty ...m' sure it can relate to so many people around. Love n Peace ✌

Great interview, thoroughly enjoyed this.
I'm sad to hear about him drinking again but I'm glad he stopped that
I grew up loving you two guys! Im glad to see you are friends!
Great interview Robb! Loving the podcast!
53:25 "just a bunch of boring old people who go to bed way earlier than their teenagers, and wake up at 7:30 in the morning" - "That's AWEsome...".
lol xD
Thank you, that was one of my favorite ones, much respect to both! First heard KoRn on Rob's Headbanger's Ball special. Would love to see Logan, Joey Jordison, Chris Fehn, Tom Araya and Paul Bostaph on future episodes, love this podcast!
Joey… back when nobody Even thought about it

Amazing, thanks for this, really cool stuff!!
Great show! You guys are awesome. I like Brian; he's honest and humble enough to admit when he's gone overboard and own up to his mistakes. My condolences to Brian Post's friends and family.
oh lord what a lovely conversation
45:58 Head saying some positive things about David Silveria.
Its was really nice to hear :)
I wish brian would take the chance to talk to david just one last time before they clock out.
I miss david too , despite him talking shit to the band.
@@5150Reaper They will, they're brothers. Head just said that it was David who got him in the band and the rest is history
Well yeah...make's great sense the dog has returned to his vomit.
He will make nice with all the old "friend's"
Thanks to both of you guys! Killer episode! Greetings from italy😎🤘🇮🇹
“I am a grown man, I am going to the mall!” - Brian Head Welch. 😂
One of the best episodes, really enjoyed this!
He’s always such a great interview
i love your podcast. best shit ever! What happend to Chino? You cannot get him on? That would be awesome. Cheers from switzerland :-)
Loved this interview! Great stuff!
Another big one, another very good one. Head is a great dude.
Sugar was on the first SOAD album. Chop Suey is on Toxicity
Thank you for seeing it as it is. So many people are judging him and saying he’s no longer a christian. But he didn’t say that?
@@zoescarborough4336 he said: I am done with that!
@@brynn_luv_gaza39 when and what point did he say that?
@@zoescarborough4336 "So many people are judging him"?
Wait a minute, was Brian not judging Christians? ".....cause there's nothing worse than a freakin’ irritating, you know, religious person shoving it down your throat and there is nothing worse than that and you saw in the documentary, Jonathan saying I hate those mother f*ckers and so you know it, people can't stand em.....'" 52:00-53:00
There is a right way to judge and a wrong way to judge.
Thats all :)
i havent heard head say fuck since the 90s 😂
Ridiculous comments against Brian. It is difficult to think that's why people judge. Brian is such a good dude, and this was a great chat. Thanks Robb, thanks Brian!!
“Do you know who I am??” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Another great interview dude!!!
Killer Interview!
Your stories are so interesting and emotionally.....thanks for share your experiences...cheers from Italy...👍🤘
Love these podcasts, one minute you're all rock stars then the next minute your my next door neighbor dad. 😀
Great Interview! Good work man definitely enjoying this channel
Top class again man. Keep em coming. Brock Lindow or Tim Williams if you can get them would be cool, or the Koller brothers.
I really wish I’d thrown up when I did Heroin because I wouldn’t of continued to do it for 17yrs!! I am on maintenance medication now and have turned it around, that was my crutch and I respect ✊🏻 the fact that “Head” has his religion as his crutch (we all have one to keep sane) I don’t believe in religion but if others do and it works for them great 👍🏻
Thanks to Robb because “NFR” has got me through this pandemic 😷 and the guests have been great 😊, it’s great to see your heroes are human beings with the same “issues” as all of us and being open about it 🤘🏻
Brian is the man 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great Episode, first time knowing the podcast existed...i believe it's in my top 3 now👍
You guys are maybe not only fan of the music you are king of heavy music!
