If the whole world was you, every rank would still be represented. With everyone being the same skill, what determines rank would just all come down to luck. Lets say a CSGO game is determined 95% by your teams skill and 5% by luck. That 5% would then determine 100% of the variation in ranks. Actually the distribution of ranks would be formed as a perfect normal distribution, so you would have many middlerank players, and very few silvers and globals.

I gotta disagree with you there. According to ourworldindata in 2017 there were 400000 homicides. Now let's generously assume that ~20% of actual murders aren't classified as homicides for whatever reason, so that the real yearly murder rate goes up to 525600, which would mean on average every minute someone is murdered. I believe, if you want to call one of your clones a murderer, he would have to deal the killing action. Be that pulling the trigger, dealing the last stab/ hit to kill someone, or administering some type of poison. Practically all of the murders are the result of momentary killing actions like shooting a gun or stabbing someone. Things that any reasonable person wouldn't just do for no reason after being teleported into a random situation. So for a situation as you described to actually occur the switcharoo would have to happen at the perfect moment where someone is pulling a trigger or someone's arms have the momentum to deal the killing stab. The chance of that moment in the one minute being the time of the switcharoo is pretty low.
This all depends on two things though:
      1. A clone becomes a murderer only if he deals the killing blow (I base this off my personal definition of a murderer)
      2. There are other clones around that during the switch have gained the technical knowledge of their original humans to administer medical care (my thought behind this is that there might be murder attempts happening that don't result in an actual homicide due to proper medical attention)

@@jazzjazz5141 I would dispute the idea that most murders are instantaneous events with identifiable "moments of murder", but if you were to include negligent homicide (as framed in the video), the numbers would be far worse. Not only are there currently 2.6million deaths attributed to medical negligence alone per year, but in addition to that every doctor, every nurse, every surgeon would become an idiotic untrained me. Every pilot, every air traffic controller, every heavy machinery operator. Every nuclear safety technician. The mes would be responsible for the deaths of a multitude of mes in mere moments.

    • @jazzjazz5141
      @jazzjazz5141 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

@@Saotik true, if we include negligent homicide we would probably have a death in mere seconds. I was just debating actual murder. And sure murder is mostly no instantaneous event, but being switched and having a knife in your hand while someone in front of you is full of stab wounds doesn't make you a murderer. My argument is that as soon as you switch a reasonable person wouldn't continue the act of murder. Which would mean that your victim either lives or was killed by your predecessor.

      It's not going well.
You are Aron Dunce. You're a receptionist at the Hotel Golden Bowl. The year is 2013.
      One day something unexplainable happens.
Every person on earth, all 7 billion of them turn into you. Every person on earth has now been turned into a copy of you.
In every way they think they are the original Aron Dunce. They have your memories, your experiences and your appearance. They even have your personality.
You walk outside and see that the people on the streets are copies of you. They seem just as confused as you are.
      You approach a group.
"Hey," you say, "how did this happen?"
"We're not sure," one says, "we were at work just a moment ago."
You try to remember what happened at your office.
"So all of you have my memories?" You ask.
"No, you all have my memories." One of them say.
"I guess since we're all Aron Dunce down to the slightest detail it's hard to say whether we're different people at all now." You explain.
Suddenly a police car driving nearby stops to investigate the commotion.
"Let's go over here." One of them says.
You follow them and watch as several copies of yourself approach the police car.
The policeman who steps out of the car is also you. You watch as the police officers take a few of you into custody.
"Why?" You wonder, "I haven't done anything wrong."
The policeman walks over to you.
"What's going on here?" He asks.
You explain the situation as you know it. The policeman seems quite confused as well.
"I've never heard of anything like this before." He says,
"But you're also me. Why are you arresting those copies?"
"I'm not sure, but until I know what's going on, I'm going to keep everyone under arrest until this case is solved."
You watch as the police car backs away.

With that being said, it wouldn't take too long for someone to get murdered I'd imagine. There would be many, many accidents happening all around the world as none of my clones would immediately understand or know the situation they are in. For example how many of my clones would figure out the job of a pilot before they crash? That's just the tip of the iceberg, really, what about facilities, services, politics? It will be chaotic.
If regardless all the miserable situations my clones still avoid murdering each other there is one point where they will: with the inevitable extinction of humankind approaching I don't think many of me could keep their sanity so that has to be the breaking point. Someone will be murdered.

It's like my experience, I had a friend since kindergarten. We are not necessarily shares the same stuff, in fact, she's a girl, we used to play together just as a young kid. But we can play together that actually I don't really know why would I spend time with her. Then later I moved out to a different city and never have contact to her any more.
Years later she found me on FB, and we started to have a connection once again. But overtime I really feel like she has become a very different person, and so I am. She live in a religious and conservative environment while I mostly spend time on the internet that is exposed to many mindsets, mostly liberal way of thinking.
And those really affects us that we are now will likely to have an argument about different things that we do. I can't really enjoy chatting with her any more. I always avoid certain topics to avoid arguments. I cannot befriend with her like how we used to be 10 years ago.
    ---
To answer that question, a murder will definitely happen. Given the fact that I may go to a 'short-minded' mode when I am under a heavy pressure emotionally, I can go murder anyone but seems like self-murder will likely to happen more. The event will probably occur on several weeks after the initial passive-aggressive conflict started between my clones.

IMMEADAITELY... I have a strong sense of self preservation and at-least two of me would find myself locked in a battle for survival: _two of me falling out of an airplane with only one parachute, me locked in a death grip being stabbed stabbing, me eating the last Oreo trapped aboard a survival raft adrift at sea._ However, past the initial chaos of presumably the whole of humanity everyone that was becoming me, I'd agree about a lot of things and it's not in my nature to want to impose my will on others; even other me's. There'd then be a long quite period of introspection, where I procrastinated and nothing got done but then the internet would go off....
Then I'd probably feel home sick and all 7-8 billion of me would return home at once to start the humanity self-cooking apocalypse. Probably the only exception to this being the original me, who'd be having a paranoid breakdown over the prospect of that many me's and simply run for the hills.

If everyone was me mind-like, life would get boring fast for a while, we would all have the same thoughts, the same taste and go on. Maybe suicide rates would go up, and it would not be long till a murder happens, since I feel like I especially need someone to talk to, someone interesting, I need another person with other thoughts to debate and stuff.
