The Betty/Jasmine dichotomy of laughing hysterically while also being full on in panic mode gives me so much life. Absolutely love Betty.
I love the vibe Jason Carl always brings. Such a master of his craft!
He is such an eloquent master of his profession an theater of mind as well Truly the 1 an Only #VampDaddy 🫦
Hi, you won the giveaway, please reach out to jprice@penny-arcade.com with your preferred email.
"It's not an issue for me, I don't even see blood!" had me in tears laughing.
Luis does a terrific job of leveraging the power of escalation or backing off. Just really bringing it all to an edge in the very best way.
After last season, it's wonderful to see "Bellvue Betty" make the transition to "Ballard Betty". Moving up in the world.
MOVING UP OR DOWN? (up. the answer is up)
This is *hands down* one of the most entertaining episodes of Seattle by Night that I've watched thus far.
Still can't believe we're getting a season 2. This is awesome!
These episodes slake my hunger.
I really appreciate how intimate this set is. Simply a table. Just like any of the vamily play at home. Magnificent.
I feel like it looks simple but is probably very deliberate and planned out. The statues in the background, the pictures, the lighting fixtures.
Not even a GM screen
But, what a table, though 😍
@@VerticalBlankJason Carl deserves a bespoke handmade wooden SCREEN
Jasmine playing Betty in this coterie always provides me with the best laugh out loud moments. In season 1 the straw incident will always be memorable. In this episode the whole seduction attempt 1:35:29 was just hilarious.
I've played two clans the most: Brujah and Lasombra. I couldn't be prouder. Betty, Tupolev would soooo back you up. Funny his prime weapon is a hockey-taped tire iron, and he drives a classic 69 Charger.
Rico, you understand threat and negotiation better than Jude ever did.
Masterclass.
You two rock this shit.
Only in this show can there be hysterical laughter about severed hands! Love it!
I live for the day when Jason Carl looks at me (and my character) and says "multiple things happen at once".
I am absolutely in love with this series. Literally last week I finished the first season and I'm just so excited to see more VTM
1:09:27 "I want to be him when I grow up" I laughed so hard, I can't
Season 1 was so much fun and this seasons is shaping up to be a great follow up. I find this series really inspires me and how I run my VtM games. It hits that sweet spot of comedy and horror and blood tacos smoothies.
Only reason I'm less than happy than I should be about all this is the opening music for S1 was so much more bangin, like it came out of nowhere. Also, Rico's growing on me, but I hoped (still hoping) to see Amanda.
Congrats to @BostonDeadHead, you won this weeks giveaway!
So happy to have this show back! Such amazing stories you all weave together!
I am definitely glad to see a second season for this!
You knew what you were doing with that thumbnail!
Good golly, I didn't realize that Jason was the GM I needed to fall in love with this world. He's so incredible at making players feel appropriately uncomfortable and making them deal with their beast and convictions.
The triangle :D This series do have a history of geometrically defined NPC's
I definitely hear some confusion between 'Benny' and 'Betty' there in the early parts of this episode
what could possibly go wrong in this episode. 🦇🦇🦇🦇😉
I am LOVING this - I can't wait to watch more!
Loving this story!
Devil's Bargain, baby!
Love this!!! Love seeing my city in the spotlight!
I feel Jasmine missed the obvious Glock joke there.
I have no excuse for loving this VTM gameplay.

“Drinking their paint”
Luis is great, but he sure likes to overcomplicate interactions that they have already resolved and come out on top on
MAN i wanna play so bad. Yall make it look so fun. Still saving up for the rulebook lol
Magically delicious (by night)
So guns are a bit nastier than Carl suggests, normally, a 9mm Pistol has +3 damage, the attack got one success, so that should be 4, then halved to 2 damage. And as Jasmine said, she was down to 4 Health already.
Hell yeaa!!
If going strictly by the book then a failed rouse check only raises hunger for rolls AFTER the action in question. But of course Jason Carl as Storyteller is entirely within rights to house-rule otherwise.
Core rulebook p211:
> Any Hunger gained is added after the desired effect resolves,
> so it is perfectly fine to make the Rouse Check at the same time
> or even after any other dice test involved, as long as the Rouse die
> is clearly distinguishable and won’t be mistaken for part of the pool.
During Vein Pursuit, Karim would indeed encourage rolling a numeric d10 for the rouse check along with the black and red dice, so as to resolve the challenge and the rouse check simultaneously and speed things along.
Different STs, different strokes -- which is all absolutely fine. Just offering options here.
So were you given sponsorship by Taco Bell or was the bag in the background an accident?
.
Interesting, for some reason I thought Enrico was a gangrel, not brujah. Then what a random CYOA/Point and Click Adventure that you found a use for the gum brick you randomly picked up. Followed up by Tom finding a use for his pocket mints.
.
Love Betty so much, but remorse/shame over hurting a fool that damaged their stuff and person is her first loss of respect for a Lasombara. Though playing up the Sabbat fear did get some of that back.
.
Shouldn't a Glock have at least had a +1 to damage on a successful roll?
.
I don't know how they chaos monkeyed their way out of that. 🤪
If anything, the Taco Bell bag is probably a reference to the infamous Taco Bell Experiment in season 1.
And Enrico being brujah is fun considering that the estimable mr. Carazo has portrayed the brujah LA Baron 'Nines' Rodriguez in the past in another AP.
Your opinions are your own but I don't agree that there is one right way to play a Lasombra. The clans have certain archetypes, sure, but Betty's is always making the best tactical decision. Lasombra tend to be a little violent, yeah, but they also like winning. Losing her cool in that moment could have blown her ability to negotiate with their target and so in the moment, it felt right for her to be a little embarrassed.
@@ThatBronzeGirl
To me, it read that way, and it seized the initiative of the situation. Riding the ragged edge of a bestial nature and being upset not because of the actual violence, but because it wasn't necessarily the right play for her at the moment and let slip some of her control. Which made both her explicitly opening up the vulnerability of her Make The Best Deal Conviction, and the open-ended "Call me..." exit all the more impactful.
Between Betty and Rico, you all pretty much:
1) Kept as much confusion on any loyalties as possible (Plausible deniability to the Camarilla, Independent-ish power base )
2) Indebted /both/ sides in one way or another
3) Displayed a willingness to escalate AND to deal with an incredibly nice display of violence and rescue
4) Positioned to exploit a novel resource (Alchemy) without completely burning bridges anywhere
AND 5) Doing your boy Tom a solid by protecting his in to his own goals.
Pretty clean outcome in what was, retrospectively, a no-win Social Webs situation of being caught red-handed by Big Bad Benny's Boys.
Just my read, and my small opinion.
@@ThatBronzeGirl Not sure where you were getting that implication. What a kindred can do as an individual is independent from the metric of how "lasombara" or insert other clan they are.
Though for Lasombara especially, other Lasombara do judge signs of empathy, especially for fools that disrespect them, as weakness.
@@anvos658 You're free to feel that way! I disagree.
Jason Jason... Cloak of Shadows does not require a rouse check, come on, its a level 1 Obfuscate Discipline
Love seeing Luis, he's such an amazing player! 🥰🩸🧛
