I have never seen a D&D player more committed to extending the DM’s bit than Jerry. When he fails a roll he commits 100%. One of the greatest players ever.
It's nice that he commits to the rolls but he also never shuts up. He always seems to have to comment on somebody else's descriptions. I think he's so used to being a DM that he has trouble with "main character" syndrome.

As a player, if someone comments on / extends my description, that tends to feel good. It lets me know that they're listening, and conveys that they're fully experiencing the moment with me. One person being willing to always try and add something encourages banter from others, and when the _whole group_ gets in on this, it can really add a tremendous amount to the game and can create some of the most memorable moments.
Toxic 'main character' players exist, but the group's reactions to Jerry show that he isn't one; everyone is having a good time.
He can get carried away on occasion, but on average I think he adds a whole lot of 'feel'.
Mike K. v. Olive Garden: And the "Tour of Italy" is one of the funniest bits I've heard in a while.
Constants in the universe: the speed of light, the value of Pi and Jerry rolling a 1 on the first roll of the night...

Lost it when everyone started talking about crystal people not needing to use the restroom. The banter in this episode is hilarious!
The moment Omin just casually pushes the sphere into the water - pure chaos! Excellent job creating an unexpected and entertaining moment there.
Every time I watch AI, it fills me with joy. They're how I got into D&D, and I love their whole vibe.

Certainty bringing up the rat king is a call back to the very first episode of Acquisition Incorporated, when Binwin Bronzebottom mentioned the rat king.
I love the moment when the team realizes they are standing next to a giant talking flower. The reactions were priceless.
I was here for series 1 so seeing this series coming from the ground up is awesome! Jerry, Mike, Anna, and Jasmine are such a great group! Love me some Jasmine and I'm so happy to see Mike back with Jim DarkMagic!
So I've been away for a while coming back for this season. It's fun watching them realize and freak out at the reminders of their new lower levels. Like Evelyn missing her aura or attacking twice as a 3rd level character or just everyone in general looking at their hp and freaking out
I'm glad someone caught the two attacks she was making.
It is good to have Mike back. I missed his interactions and interjections.
I watched AcqInc for years before realizing that Krahulic is consistently the funniest guy at the table.
His god damn Olive Garden story is so good and matter of fact.
@@Ag3nt0rang3He’s as quick as he is deadpan, and does a perfect sendup of self-centeredness while still being a team player. It’s impressive and so well-executed that it took me a while to get to know Mike underneath the character of Jim.
Love it. I feel like its easier for them to get into the heart-to-hearts in this format. I used to be a big Omelyn shipper, but I feel Evelyn has been giving off major "She's not that into you" vibes for a while now, so I'm really eager to see how these character arcs resolve. Certainty is a great foil for Omin - especially now that he's lost Viari and seemingly abandoned the "be better" promise he made to him.
"You get one taste of the pain, then the next one will kill you" wasn't a threat, it was a portent 🔥🔥🔥
The attention to detail is astounding - the flickering purplish light, the regularity of the crickets, the strange plant. Your descriptions make the setting come alive.

I’m enjoying the voice modulation for the NPCs. The cartoonish aspects of this story arc add another level of delightful cognitive dissonance, considering the otherworldly nature of the locations & set + lights.
Its hilarious that Omin is technically telling the truth in regard to people viewing via the multiverse, since we are watching them.
Ive been watching AI for about a decade now and this is the most compelling storyline I've seen so far. Amazing work.

pretty sure that the correct term is "an Aneurysm"
I initially came up with a "psyche" of mindflayers, but I looked it up and others refer to them as a cult of mindflayers, where the top two most "alpha" mindflayers are in constant battle for control over the rest of the group!
The banter and camaraderie among the team members is one of my favorite aspects of this show. Makes it feel real and immersive.

Anna continues to be absolutely incredible; Evelyn's purity and honesty in the face of Omin's bald faced lying, punishing him without realizing it, is just a guaranteed laugh every time.
Honestly enjoying the show so far. It really gives the vibes of the original run. The chemistry between characters and the humor with all the different personality is so nice.

i always felt like they maybe could find ways to bring in Wil and Scott. i know there has been some kind of behind-the-scenes beef, but the original cast was just so very captivating.

A lot of mentions of Mordenkainen in this series / arc. As Evelyn’s with the group, is there a possibility this is the same version played by Sam Witwer in DCA in the Strahd arc - after all, he was obsessed with Greyhawk standards such as entering rooms with ten foot poles.
Jim being reverse Bowfingered through these eldritch horrors is a delight.

Love it :D New to DM'ing myself, it gives so much inspiration to see the pro's
As someone who started playing 1st Ed in the 70s as a kid I think there is a difference between players (not just favorite editions). And it's not just nostalgia. In the older editions each player was a part of a unit group value and synergy was always more important than my particular character fantasy. Now it seems like every player wants to be the hero of the story. It strikes me that editions are designed to support this ideal (see Twilight Cleric). I'm not an edition warrior and I have enjoyed them all. I thoroughly enjoyed 4th Ed.
I'm not sure that Habro really believes in DnD even now. One thing we have learned is that the path forward (in terms of making money) for them is mass popularity as opposed to just squeezing every nickel they can from the current player base. They made a big mistake by not more effectively harnessing those people who could drive their product(s) to 10x the audience they had. I make my living as a DM and many new players join due to exposure to Critical Role or Stranger Things.
