I'm demonstrating the process on my 2012 BMW F30, but the same steps can be applied on any vehicle! Take your time and your trim will come out looking awesome. Glad to see different people linking to the same stuff. I saw some gloss carbon fiber that looked EXACTLY like the real stuff. It's not lines burned perpendicular to each other like this one.

Great job champion! I wrapped my stereo surround and door trim. It becomes addictive and you start looking for other things to wrap. I bought some light weight heat proof Kevlar gloves which helped me to work the wrap when it’s hot!
does the silver trim off the door come off, or did you wrap it in place?

I literally just learned how to wrap small stuff a couple days ago and I'm having so much fun with it. Also a good trick for those barrel clips is to use a small socket. You'll be able to push them all at once and it's way faster.

Thank you for this. I have a 440i Gran Coupe with Coral Red Inside however it was equipped with Fineline wood which chashes to me. I wanted the carbon fiber look with the leather door handles like the M3 and now I can do it myself instead of buying the pieces from BMW

Easily the best car wrapping DIY tutorial out there. Good work, man. I'm wrapping my black Alfa 159 interior as it had minor scratches all over the trim when I purchased. Do you think I could DIY wrap a few small areas on the outside too? (Door pillar and grill, which are both peeling). Also, how long do wraps last for before needing to replace? Yes you can totally wrap exterior parts as well. The interior wrap will last longer than the exterior. Depending on the quality, it could last 3-5 years

2012 did you replace some items in the center console also?
Hey hows it going bud. I really wanna do this, its just id like to buy the handbrake piece and the actual shifter. As thats something thats constantly touched and i dont think it will hold up over time, and you can't do it over leather for the handbrake. My question is does this wrap match the carbon pieces you can buy online?

Great work. My only concern is hot temps in the interior during the summer. Would it shrink, bubble or peel at some point?
Thanks! Yes, extreme heat can cause a little bit of shrinking and/or bubbling but nothing terrible
Is there a way to wrap that place that is a straight line where yours is red? I tried it at a vinyl shop but the outcome isn’t good and I removed it

Is there a way to wrap the red part of the trim? I’m going to do mine gloss black but my trim is dark blue and I want to wrap it Tiffany blue to match my callipers and Vbars but I can’t work out how to separate the 2 parts

Awesome! It's held up pretty good - some very minor peeling in the heat of the summer.
do you have a feel for whether or not this wrap would hold up to Texas heat?
I can’t say for sure. That will depend on the color of your car and where you park

Hey, great vids and was just curious if you prefered the look of the gloss CF over the dry CF?
I preferred the dry cf because the glossy cf shows air bubbles very easily

Hi, not sure if I missed it... Did you mention what brand of carbon fiber vinyl wrap, and what type you used? If you can do it all over again, would you still use the same brand and type? Or did you find something else even better?

I used Vivvid vinyl. It worked great! I would use it again.
Now that it has been a month since you wrapped this, how well did the edges hold up where you flush cut the wrap rather than wrapping it around the trim piece and making the cuts on the back side of the trim piece???
Good question! It’s holding up very well. I had maybe one or two air bubbles and the edges are holding well 👌🏻

Can you tell me the color for this red line and which brand...please?
The red line actually came stock as this specific F30 is a sport line so it has red accents throughout the interior. That being said, you can probably purchase this dash trim with the red line and install it in your car
It is better to do a small cut in a car not like that if you do not give it a small cut even though you have managed to get it to fold around the corner it will always be having natural tension to go back if something is going to be fitted inside of that opening in that case it might not be too bad but in other situations a small bit of cut will stop natural shrinking of the vinyl after it cools down and starts to settle into itself you do not want parts of it fighting to unwrap so when it is possible to relieve tension it is best to do so of course, it goes without saying you would not put it to the point that you would see it from the front, GOOD JOB LOOKS WELL PAL, GOOD VIDEO 👍
Great diy and attention to detail. Only thing I would have done differently is the pattern on the handles. U made it kinda horizontal, I would have made it diagonal.
Also how would this wrap look with 2k clear sprayed on it?
Good suggestion. All personal preference.

Dryinb of the prep with the heat gun prevents fibers being left behind.
