    If you use a dremel or an angle grinder you can cut flat heads into the bolts holding the bowl on that Apollo you can remove it an just put bolts back in it

    You know the thingy that comes out when you unscrew the cap on the top of the carb and flip it upside down? The thing that you put the throttle cable into it. Basically if you install it backwards (not upside down but 180• rotated) it won’t limit the fuel at all… when you start it it revves up like crazy that’s probably the issue. Thanks! Hope it works! Worked for me on my Apollo 125 x19 :)

    Hello throttle fam, I have a knock off mukuni vm22 carb I installed it on and after 1 ride it started to bog and not want to start, it was running great until I turned it off and now it won’t start, and if I get it to start the rpms move up and down, it will die immediately when little bit of gas is given, jets are clean float hight is good too, fuel and air screw have been moved around and it will not start,

      Can you see light threw the pilot jet it could be metal shavings in it I have had to clean them out on 2 of the 3 carbs I have installed

    Like your videos. None of the typical Yayhoo hillbilly crap many other vloggers are creating. You do smart and relevant commentary about the pit bike work and changes.
    I would suggest doing a carb video using a true Mikuni VM22 vs the Nibbi.

    How did your get the throttle cap removed from the stock RFZ carb? Mine has a blue pin that send to keep it locked on. Can only twist it like 1/8thv turn. I'm swapping my stocker with the Mikuni knock-off tomorrow. I have a '21 RFZ 125 modded as a supermoto for indoor kart tracking! Thanks!

    • @throttlefamily4655
      @throttlefamily4655  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is so weird ours doesn’t have a pin on it I just twist it and it comes off. That is Awsome super moto is so much fun. The mikuni is Awsome just make sure you clean out the jets on them as soon as you get it because sometimes they have shavings in them from the factory

      @@throttlefamily4655 So I cleaned jets w/(wire brush) bristle, checked floats, air screw @ 1-3/4 turn out. Bike would only run w/choke on. I could only adjust idle w/choke on. Bike bogged at 1/4 throttle. Opened the carb & moved the needle to #2 slot (it was in the #4 originally). This time fuel POURED OUT steady stream out of the bowl when I turned the petcock ON. Must've taken it apart 12 times & checked floats. Still can't get it to stop. Trash the new carb & try another? Use it as a paperweight for my office desk? Maybe another brand?

      @@throttlefamily4655 I just bought the NIBBI 26 this week. We've ahead & bought the 28 pack of mains & pilots just in case! You were right about the manifold - didn't work. Ordered the NIBBI bolt-on mani. Then the air breather didn't fit .. so I bought the aluminum extension pipe. Gonna fit it all up tomorrow. 🤞🏼

    • @MIKEDRISCOLL45
      @MIKEDRISCOLL45 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah... The VM22 K.O. drain screw was threaded in at an angle (from the factory) that's why the fuel was pouring out. It was bypassing the screw! I sent that back & got my $32 refunded & put it towards the NIBBI.

      If I’m not mistaken which I probably am but the stator will keep it from running if it’s bad. Sounds like it may need a little tweak on the carb. That’s my opinion.

    • @AF.256

    • @robspear03
      @robspear03 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@throttlefamily4655 you would, however, have issues getting fuel from tank-to-inlet as a genuine Mikuni is a 5/16, the fuel line from the petcock is 3/16. An inline adapter eats up alot of space in such a minimalist area.
