The only thing I would add is… knock ✊🏼 the door 🚪 and if they don’t answer leave the door hanger, if they come to the door now you have a better chance to close a new customer
I live in Texas. I get to my spot around 8:30 and pass out flyers which I put into the screen doors. I dont cross over the grass. Weekends are the best because most homeowners are out and about by 10am which gives you a chance to talk to them. Good luck and may Christ be with you.
definately accurate investigated with the police station they sent me to the chamber of commerce then they sent me to the city hall permits then there was no permit listed there for distributing flyers so the worker at the city hall printed me a section code in regards of that stating that "as long as its on a fixed surface not causing litter or property states No Soliciting or states Private Property"... it is completly legal
I've used door hangers before. And I got them made with the Hull already punched out in it to actually hang on a doorknob so that would be a good advice to give your viewers instead of making holes and using rubber bands, which would take a lot longer you could have got them already made to hang over a door or A. Handle
@@DavidSiniawski we used to do this back in the day. Unfortunately they blow off often and it lessens the area for copy. Glad you have had success with them!
Great information about being as efficient as possible and taking it seriously. I also never thought of using rubber bands. Thanks for sharing your tips!
Good tip on drill bit and rubber bands. For walking I recommend just using postal route. For example those corner houses on your diagram are a different addres than the far right row. Split them on their own it’s easier to keep track of where you have been and need to go if you just pretend you’re the mailman. Also dress like your mailman whether it’s hot or cold in your season.
To save fliers and increase profit I always scope out the house to see if it fits. For example I do car detailing. If the car is already shining and maintained I won’t bother they do it themselves or have someone. If the house or car is thrashed I won’t they probably could care less about keeping their things nice. Little advice
You're profiling your customers too much. If their car is shining and maintained that means they ARE your customer. They clearly care about maintaining their vehicle, maybe they feel they spend too much time doing it on the weekends. Advertise to that "Save your weekend! Let me keep your car spotless!" could be a tagline. If they already have someone tahts fine, they might still ask for a quote and maybe you do it cheaper or have other services to stand out. Maybe you also do window tinting and their other guy doesnt. Don't run away from your own customers.
Awesome video! Any recommendations on where to order flyers? also, do you design your flyers? do you have a video about this subject? Thank you! I am on the path of opening my small business and I just found your channel. subbed!
The regular door hanger style with the hole and the hanger always just flies away about 10 minutes after you hanging on the door good idea with the rubber band
If you really want to increase your efficiency dramatically(like 2-300%) buy or rent an e bike. Not only will you be much faster, you'll be able to go much longer by conserving your energy.
Rubber band is a waste of time. If flyer can be folded and stuck into a door then it doesn't need any other modification. Why make extra work if everything is about efficiency.
Folding the flyer creates the first step in throwing it away. Put yourself in the CX perspective ( all of us and you included). I see it, igive it 5 seconds. That's all the time the flyer gets in a persons attention span when sorting through mail and other flyers. The rubber band takes effort to remove. It forces more "mental bandwidth" on the CX part, therfore (with a visually appealing flyer) us as businessmen create a better opportunity for a successful flyer placement.
We saw 2 downfalls with the traditional door hanger. 1 they fall of without your solution and 2 you loose a bunch of quality space to add more copy. If it is working for you tho I think thats great!

Totally. Great prep is to give your team an elevator pitch so they can feel comfortable with the intro to sales.
Awesome comment 👏🏼
I think knocking is illegal in most of places
@@ruben_od5012 only if there are signs that say no soliciting
Exactly a lot of people don't think about that but that's a great point

Agreed. You’re finding reasons for people not to use your service. Let them do that.
This is quite helpful, will surely try the ruberbands.
Go kill it

Wow so helpful thanks you so much
How much would you pay per hour to do this?
Thanks
thank you!

Anyone know where I could find people to pass out door hangers that have already been split tested? I am in Grand Rapids MI
Great info
Wow great video
My door hangers hangs. Are these different?
The ones we use you punch a hole in and use a rubber band. It allows more room for copy and they don’t fall off so easy
The rubber band trick would work to secure the flier
When I ran a pizza place an we door hung left and right when we delivered to a house
We used to call it "clover leafing our stops
Its called a "Girth Hitch"

We have talked about the original scooter and hoverboards.
Great idea
Me personally think about using rubber bands is a older person trying to pull it off and gets popped smh 🤦♂️

We have started doing this more as well. It’s a great point that we didn’t even think of in the beginning. Always evolving.
@@JacobGodarunclear on this concept. You’re folding the flyer? Wedging in the door crack?

My door hangers don't blow off All you have to do is tape the but joint
