    MY STORY:
I am the CEO of Scooter's Lawn Care, Inc.: an award-winning lawn care, landscaping, and home service company with locations in central Illinois and southwest Florida.
I help others scale their lives, relationships & businesses on TH-cam, on the GROW by Design podcast, in 1:1 coaching calls, and in my coaching group GROW Comm.
I first started my lawn care business part-time in 2014, while working full-time in the autobody industry. In 2015, I quit my job (with a pregnant fiancee) and risked everything to go full-time.
By 2019, Scooter's Lawn Care, Inc. was an award-winning, seven-figure company in Springfield, Illinois.
In 2021, I once again started from the ground up with a second location expansion in Cape Coral, Florida. By month three, my team was hitting $50,000/mo in revenue - climbing up on $100,000/mo before the first year's end. In under two years, my second location was selling over $200,000 in lawn care & landscaping services each month.
I share the wins and losses in our business journey - along with proven strategies to scale - on TH-cam to help others grow.
I coach others during 1:1 calls (bit.ly/3sczUgN) and in my private coaching group, GROW Comm.
GROW Comm is a one-of-a-kind, value-packed business growth training center, and networking community designed to scale service companies to seven-figures and create success & abundance in all areas of life.
Registration opens for a few days a few times each year.

I'm not in landscaping or lawn care, but I am going to try this system out. Like you mentioned social media can get expensive and it's also very crowded with people selling. It seems like some of this old-fashioned marketing can now be seen above all the tech noise. Thanks for sharing!! Love the video & content. Thumbs up & saved!

Social media and digital marketing are over saturated. Direct marketing is the most effective bang for the buck for service businesses. Rock it. I love in Florida as well.

Hey man, I really appreciate you making these kind of videos, I run a small eavestrough (gutters) business and this is super helpful.
We’re trying to work on a lot of houses in the same area because we see referrals on the same street a lot, any suggestions on doing this strategy with job signs on customer’s boulevards?

How do you track the crew and make sure they actually hang those door hangers?

How often do you do the same route for door hangers? Do you do the 5-around every week?

    • @JacobGodar

We love hitting them multiple times but no not every week. We have the mow crews do them every month or so. The teams that really put them out are the landscape teams. They have a excite person dedicated to it.

you talk about getting away from the door hangers with holes and moving to the full size ones...which are? what size? are the post cards technically? are they 8x11 are they 6x11? give no information on this at all.

They can be standard size or bigger. Either way you get more room for copy
