This was really interesting and shows a trained (and vocally talented) person really making use of good equipment which is not showy and exaggerated like some offerings. Sound support means what it says and is designed to do a job as a solid foundation of a production, leaving the creative individual to be ----- creative. Gear aside, the lady has a resourceful approach and a voice range and timbre suggesting dedicated training and study. Though I am an old chap who worked in some BBC studios on classical chamber music many moons ago I have become interested in production again after my eldest daughter thought I could assist some talented young friends of hers and I have recommended that they take note of videos like this, KARRA and some archive footage of a certain Icelander whose music was being recorded (by her and a producer) in a studio a few corridors away. One joke allowed: my daughter's friends won't be wearing make up and claws for their upcoming sessions. Yes, that's showbiz I know. Keep up the excellent work with that first class voice.
Way to go Ms Karra!!! Absolutely love how effortlessly you made that all look! It sounded great!! That operatic part was the glue to bring that all together!! I currently use the Eris E66 monitors along with a pair of Yamaha HS8's. I'm seriously considering getting the Eris Pro-8's. I am thoroughly impressed with Presonus and the level of quality products they put out! As usual, you rocked with this walkthrough of the monitors!!🎶🎵🎶🎤🎧🖥👊🏾💜
Nice Video…How are the Mids on the Eris Studio8? Im looking for a good budget monitor for recording guitar bass and keyboard tracks. Im fighting between these and the Adams T8V’s.
Hi Karra, just found your channel. Your content is great. I am currently using audacity and struggling to make my vocals sound professional. Also, finding plugins is difficult. What do you think is the best way to learn more about mixing vocals (I do want to write music also, so mixing in general as well) fast without going to school for or searching for videos? I love that you are making these videos because in addition to being a voice coach, I have had this goal to record, produce and sell music for use in media or online.I also am currently working on producing and editing music videos, mainly for my own publicity. Are there any online courses that could recommend for mixing. I am leaning toward using logic as well. Protools seemed kind of complicated when I looked at it before.
Using sound absorption panels made a big difference to my vocal recording - thick bass trap ones on both sides and behind me - the side ones about 6 ft apart. I stay about 12 inch back from Cardiod mic to get balanced sound - not too much room and not too much bass sound. I do not recommend the Kaotica eyeball at all!
@@jacksp8de if you're thinking of trying it in the future, I suggest you buy it with the Neumann MT 48 4×8 Audio Interface. You will fckng love it. both will come up to about 4k in total.

If youre going to add a 10" sub why use the 8" monitors then? Isnt it more practical and acurate to combine the sub with eris 5" for example?
I think sub's frequency response is better and balanced than monitors'.
hi karra. what mic is that your using?
