Hey bud I heard in the video you have a harbor freight blast cabinet coming. I just got one myself and made some mods to it that really saved the cabinet, use and efficiency. The biggest part was the tube of silicone to seal EVERYTHING and the mitre valve at the bottom. I made a home made valve with 1” black pipe and it was amazing how great it worked. Best of wishes and let me know if you need any info or photos of mine.
Just a tip! Take a vise or hammer and bend the oven racks flat where it bends up on the back and you can slide it in or out with no issues! But kool build man...I like the how you used a metal castor as a swivel hook! 👍
Nice job! I just finished mine just like this. I need to work on my filters too. I think I am going to add a box to the back of it with the fans on the back of the box. I still get some powder out of the back and dust the shop 😞
I put up a painters wall (plastic sheets with extended poles from floor to ceiling with a walk through magnet door which keeps that area closed off as even if you get the filters down it still leaves powder all over the garage even if just a thin layer. Worth doing if you can swing it in your work space.
Did you think about attaching a permanent ground to the top or your hanger on the outside so you wouldn't have a cord hanging down possible hitting your item being coated.
Hey great video ive been coating 20 years and im now stepping out on my own and caught your video here while researching. Anyway, wondering if you still have that wheel and hows the coat holding?
Yup still have the wheel plus a couple of other bikes I've powder coated wheels, frames, swingarms, etc. All holding up great. Now that the bike builds are done the setup sits but it's a solid build.
Okay honestly a really sick build. But for some reason the fact that you don't use the stuffing "ing" and only "in" really bothered me. Must be a location thing lol. I can't say much though because I use y'all so 🤷🏼♀️
@@Photogromer lmao like instead of "caulking" you said "caulkin" just stuff like that. Literally makes no difference but for some reason it stuck out to me 😂
All parts used in this build are listed here: kit.co/Photogromer/powder-coating-booth
Yes sirrr new sub btw🔥💯🙏🏽😤
Let me buy your Honda grom lol

Are you still planning on doing a video for the double oven?
As a supervisor of a powder coating department, nice ingenuity!

It looks very good! Great video with good details. Thanks for sharing!

This is awesome. I can’t wait to try something like this
Dang bro, that’s a legit booth. I need to make one now
Nice job on the PC booth. Thanks.
Take a drink every time he says PoWdEr CoAtIn’
How did the filters hold up against throwing powder out the back side of the fan?
Thanks
As mentioned in video the higher merv rating filter folds up great. Take it down once a week and spray out or replace
I strongly suggest a 3m half mask respirator with p100 pancake cartridges, source, worked in a powder coating shop. :)
Did you think about attaching a permanent ground to the top or your hanger on the outside so you wouldn't have a cord hanging down possible hitting your item being coated.
It would be a good solution because that does happen sometimes when not being careful
plz get proper respirators... other than that great job with the booth
Any specific one you recommend?
Photogromer the gas mask style ones with the two filters from Home Depot work great
3m p100 filters . Try not to powder in the bolt holes and bearing shafts you’ll regret it .
Loved the video looking forward to seeing more

@@Photogromer awesome stuff
Highly suggest you get a proper vent fan buddy. Other wise great setup.
I have heard of them fans going boom. Might have happen already after it is 2 years old
Looking for someone that can wrap my grom in tampa? Could you guide me in a good direction.
You get any powder out the back?
How much was the support able to hold?
What are the dimensions of this?
I’d imagine that now in 2022 this same booth will run about a third more in price, considering the cost of materials.
Still waiting for the oven mod video🥲
Good looking booth. Can't wait for the frankenoven 🤙🏼
Nice!!!
Yes sirrrr new sub btw🔥💯🙏🏽😤
It says all the specs are in the comments but I dont see any specs at all, what width, Height, depth??
