Maybe, but IMO the p365 doesn't fit the same use case as the P290RS, which for me is the smallest 9mm pistol that I would be willing to pocket carry. I think the p365 might be too big to pocket carry and if future youtubers confirm my suspicion, then Sig will have dropped the ball. Just picked one up used at the pawn for $260 w/ tax. It weighs exactly the same as my PPS40. looks like it's pretty tight so u gotta keep it clean for a nicer trigger pull and mag drops. Solid piece. Great review and impressive shooting!
Great video. The P290RS is one of my main EDC pistols. I find it to be SUPER accurate and 100% reliable. I think the long DAO trigger is OK as it has no safety and is most often a pocket carry for me. You are right the bell at the muzzle is intended for positive slide lock and increased accuracy. Love this gun and depend on it with my life.
I might have a video floating around out there shooting a Red Ryder ;) Thanks for the reminder Mid-day_Light and thanks for the comment Thomas. Here is that video, it's very short th-cam.com/video/wPiW_yl0I58/w-d-xo.html
I decided to buy the RS and it has been my carry gun for over 7 years. I have big hands so I only use the eight round magazine. For over 5 years I never leave home without it. I live in rural North Georgia which is relatively crime-free. Ironically, I had to pull on an idiot with road rage 5 miles from my cabin. It is only the third time I pulled in my life outside of my military service. Great review. Thanks!
Aha! We think alike. I thought when I first saw the photo you posted that this was a blunderbuss. I need to make another one of those... Great shooting little 9mm and I am glad you left the 320 controversy out of your Sig review.
That's right! LOL You know what they say about great minds.... wonder if the same is true for simple minds? LOL The Sig P320 is it's own issue. I wouldn't spoil the fun of this little shooter with all that. Thanks my friend!
LOL - alright Hickok - where is your gong? Terrific shooting with a small size gun. I like the looks of that gun for concealed carry. I also like the idea of a revolver stiff trigger. This is one I'll be studying on for possible purchase.
Another Hickok reference!! I must be doing something right...LOL Thanks Greg. I could have gotten some better shooting in but the sky turned dark and it rained me out. The trigger is very revolver like on this one.
The standard size garden rock. From now it shall be the Golden mean by which we as firearm enthusiasts shall measures all of our guns. ;) first time I laughed in daze....thanks my friend!
Thanks Mr b I have only been shooting glocks for a little over a year now and getting more comfortable with them ( g26 and 19c ) . I've been carrying them both on and off , but my main edc is colt defender in 45 acp .
Greetings from Ireland. Great video. I found the rock comparison useful as that is about all that we are allowed to own over here. Total Gun Control. Don't let it happen where you live.
Bernard Flood you're misinformed. I'm watching this in Balbriggan,co.Dublin and I have a nice tactical bamboo stick in my garden and a proper home defence shovel. Rocks are of course best for concealed carry-even if not exactly legal everywhere.
With the long trigger pull and bobbed hammer,it reminds me of the Sccy CPX 1 and 2 models but I'm sure the Sig you have there is a much better firearm.I agree with you about staying away from the +P ammo.Thats why I got the Glock 32,,357 Sig is hot enough without having to use +P in that caliber.
Thanks for tuning in Mark. I like the Sccy for the money but like you said the Sig is a better pistol, or at least in my opinion. That .357 Sig is a hot round!
Looks comparable to the g26 or (42 or 43 since there single stacks )right buffalo? K how's the trigger (pretty heavy ) 8 to 9 lbs ? Lock up must be super tight . How far where you shooting from?
That's right Keith. Comparable to the 43 but hammer fired instead of striker. The trigger measured 8 lbs 7 oz on my Lyman gauge. Lock was indeed nice and tight. The 2 small circles were at 10 yards the other 3 targets were at 20. Thank you!
another good video.. I found that I did not shoot the small single stack pistols consistantly enough.. They are just too small in my hands. I got my wife the P259SC for Sub Compact.. Still small but larger than the P290RS you showed today.. But my experience takes nothing away from your great video.
Thanks Gregg! I always appreciate your comments and am glad to have you tuning in to the channel. You're right those little guns can be hard to shoot accurately! I haven't tried the P259SC you mentioned. Too many guns out there and to little money in the bank...LOL
I saw another video on the P290RS & the guy said it was chunky. I had to laugh. It's smaller than a Springfield Hellcat. About the size of a Kahr CM9 & those are tiny. I'm still carrying mine after several years & still happy with it. It's reliable, accurate, tiny, has 2nd strike capability & I don't have to remember to take off the safety because it doesn't have one. And doesn't need one.
I’d also call it chunky. You are right, the specs don’t support that description. Maybe it’s because the grip is so short, or the slide and dust cover looks so thick in profile, I don’t know. It’s hard to believe the gun is so light because it does feel like a rock. Glad you like it, but mine sits in a safe. Painful to shoot. I am a SA/DA guy, but this trigger is for very experienced shooters only.
Hehe, the rock was a good lil laugh this mornin, does look like quite the lil pocket pistol, but sig is known for puttin out quality along with price tag to match, and "blasphemy"?!?!? OH goodness elitest might come out woodwork lol. Nice vid man
LOL I'm glad I could give you a good laugh! We all need that from time to time :) Yeah people get tore up sometimes about the smallest of things. Say one wrong thing in a video and it makes people upset. Anyway have a great day.
I agree. I did carry the Sig around in my pocket for a few days but it is a bit thicker than the Kahr and I can tell it in my pocket. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the return reply! A lot folks on TH-cam get so big that they say they can't ( bull you always have ) . What do these sigs go for $$$$? And I must say the little gun is uber accurate. I have not ventured into a 9mm single stack . I've looked at 1911 9mm single stack guns ( all metal no polymer) most are 9 rounds + 1 . The restrike in a hammer fired gun is valued piece of mind . K Any brand besides sig do you have experience with and recommend . I've had bad experiences with sig products except their 1911 carry in 45 acp . My father ex military ww2 believed there was nothing better than 1911 so that's what we shot ( that's the platform I cut my teeth on as a young shooter ) and that's what I shoot best today . I'm getting better with my glocks ( g 19c g26 ) as I spend more time behind them sending lead down range .
Looks like Buds has them in stock for 429.99. You may find a better price if you look around though. The little single stack 9mm pistols are more difficult to shoot accurately but that's a trade off of having such a convienent little pistol. I love my Kahr CM9. I can shoot it a little better than the Sig but only because I've had it for years and put a lot of rounds through it. 1911s are wonderful pistols. They are easy to shoot accurately. I love them at the range but I carry a Glock for it's simple revolver like point and click style. Thanks!
Goodmorning...the only complaint I have about a sig...the trigger... all triggers on a sig.. have a horrible trigger...alot of travel.. .nice little ccw...gun
The trigger was very difficult to get used too. Probably the longest stroke I've ever shot. Even more so than the Kahr. If this were my carry gun I'd have to practice lots to get used to that.

What a backyard...lucky... Too bad they stopped making these . talking about real micro compact. they improved it with 365 but it is slightly bigger and the most accurate compact on the market. unlike that junk hell cat.
I hope they recall this junk. I have fed this thing every type of ammo on the market and you will still get at least ten failure to feed or failure to eject issues per 75 rounds..
Looks like they just removed it from the official website.
Sad.
Sure enough. Thanks for the notice.
Gynocentrism Ergo MGTOW surely due to the p365
Maybe, but IMO the p365 doesn't fit the same use case as the P290RS, which for me is the smallest 9mm pistol that I would be willing to pocket carry.

Thanks, I too really like this pistol and think it would be a great choice for every day carry.
Love my 290.Had to send to a smitty for light strikes. Extra power hammer spring took care of it. Tack driver. My favorite pocket pistol.
I almost died when he pulled out the rock😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Glad you found it helpful!
Another great review Buffalo! Always enjoy seeing that you e dropped a new video. Keep 'em coming!
Thanks OG! Always good to hear from you!
Buffalo you're a born shooter. You could hit those targets with a Red Ryder. Nice fire balls and as always thanks for the video.

Thanks buddy! Glad you enjoyed it!
Garden rocks around here are smaller.
The garden rock is the new standard!
Yes!! LOL
Love my p290rs. I do use the extended 8 round mag for better feel. Did change plastic guide rod out for stainless steel rod. No issues.

I nearly pissed my pants when you put the rock on the table, lol....well played. Love the channel. Keep up the great reviews.

Please recommend a holster maker for the garden rock.
Before you start snapping the trigger you should ALWAYS show that the gun in NOT LOADED! You are setting a BAD EXAMPLE! 😱👎👎👎
Why should he show it? If he's responsible, he should have already done so, even before the video.
