I'm also strickly a yammy worm guy and VMC neko hook guy, no reason to use anything else , used to use the crossover band and the mustad version but saw a hack about just buying 1/4" silicone tubing and cutting them into small pieces also got a tool to stretch them over the bait, just hook them like you would a naked senko through the silicone band , bought 30ft for $20, might be a lifetime supply lol
That set up is exactly what I use the VMC neko hooks and the 6mm clear VMC across over rings save so much money on senko’s because you can catch multiple bass on one worm! Awesome setup
I like to use heat shrink tubing to secure my hook in wacky rigs. I think its 5/8th size. You just cut it to size and heat it with a lighter for a few seconds and push the hook through it. That works pretty well and 10 ft was like 6 or 7 bux online. I use weedless eagle claw neko hooks in 1/0. They work good and the weedless aspect helps alot around cover more than an open hook. I use bps stick-o or yum dingers usually. I caught over 75 bass from August to October on Yum Dingers and Stick-os on my river in Ohio. I didn't notice much of a difference in catch rate between the 2 but I've only had a few months experience bass fishing from my new kayak.
I tested the clout, stick-o and the dinger in a tub of water. All baits were hookless. Just the baits. The dinger sank by far the quickest. I have packages of all 3 and have tried all 3 but I keep coming back to the dinger. I will try a weighted version soon. Thanks for the videos.
Great video. But when you do your wacky comparison make sure you include X Zones 5" and 6" stick baits. I think you will be very impressed with the salt and action they have.
Great video. The bass pro stick bait is becoming my favorite. I use a little spike it on the end or where my hook is giving them something to zero in on if there finicky Smallies here in Missouri love the wacky worm
Whenever you do another underwater wacky worm video you should try the perfection lures David dudley wacky worm it has amazing shimmy and nobody talks about that one
Another great instructional video. I like to fish this technique, and this will save me time and money in the long run! You mentioned that the size 6 would be a good “go to, middle of the road” ring, but I’m not sure what hook to order. Shows only the 1 available, the 1/0 and 2/0 are currently sold out, lol. I’m guessing the 1/0, but I’d really like to hear from you, or others that have used them previously, before I go and spend cash on it. Thanks again, and always looking forward to your helpful videos!
I'm sure you already know what pros do to a wacky bait... they all roygh up the outside of the before fishing it to help release salt... you never mention that secret.... they all do it

What tool do you use?
@@waxhawcreek1717 Spro Neko pliars
Did you get thinwall tubing, and if so, where? Most places only have the heavy 1/16” wall.
@@Michdave700 I have no idea tbh , got it off Amazon, works well, originally bought the pre cut silicon from Arsenal tackle and this is comparable
clear heat shrink works good too around the worm and then put the hook though the heat shrink and the barb keeps the bait on.

Those bands are nice, I like the Arsenal fishing bands and their tool for installing them
Great advice! Love your focus on northern fisheries, since I live in New Hampshire

I would like to see you include the Berkeley max scent power bait and power bait only generals in any comparison tests that you do on the Wacky Rig.

I am from Vermont I love doing bass fish

Ive heard someone say that the bass pro brand stickbait is the closest action to the Gary Yamamoto senko, but cheaper.
i'm still not that good at fishing but this video is going to help me

Any of the 3 would work!
Great video
Great job on the informative video! Just curious, why do you favor the 2500, over the 3000?
I like the handle better
Did I miss it? What size hook do you suggest?
1 or 1/0!
