Love this era of them. Daniel loving it, Paul's look and voice, the exploding ego of Carlos, Sam's all business. They're so locked in together musically, especially on Not Even Jail. A moment in time.

Paul Banks has to be the most reluctant lead singer / frontman I've ever seen. Super shy. Just saw the Arctic Monkeys last night and have seen Interpol live 3 times - Alex Turner is the complete opposite of Paul Banks. Paul's gravestone will say, "I never expected to be this famous."
But Alex was super shy at the beginning, it was after they released Humbug (3rd album) when we started to developed his more outgoing persona. I believed this is Interpol after his second album. Although, Paul is way more reserved than Alex, most post-punk garage revival bands have shy lead singers, Julian Casablancas is another example of this. Also, the Arctic Monkeys when viral after AM that must have push Alex to be less shy. But yeah, I guess he never expected to be that big.
S J I absolutely agree with you. It is a masterpiece!!! I don’t understand how other people won’t notice this but I am glad at least someone else has came across this idea! Great taste by the way!!

Same. I though the first 3 albums were spectacular. There's a darkness and weirdness that is missing since Carlos left. I don't care as much for the newer albums but there are some new good songs here and there.
They were on at the same time, as good as having those 2 at the same Glasto would have been the choice between those two would be very hard to make. Otherwise I'm sure Bernard and Hooky would have loved to have seen them, I miss the days when Glasto was almost exclusively rock/indie bands

Concuerdo contigo la voz de paul banks y el performance de carlos D , para mi si es el mejor momento y concierto de Interpol , lástima que está incompleto
you know, the real reason why interpol ain't the same after carlos d left isn't just cause he was a really good bassist, but also 'cause he reeked sex appeal and style. cmon look at the guy.
Evan Miller His passion for his music lasted as long as it lasted, and now these videos were just a sample of it; anyone can change his opinion with respect to his life and I respect that 😉
They'd been on 2 years before; same stage, similar time (slightly earlier?). The crowd were disinterested and the main attraction during the show was a genuine mini-hurricane that whipped up in the midst of the crowd causing everyone to turn around and watch until it had gone. 2 years later.. different story. I like it when the crowd was screaming “obstacle 2”, but they played “obstacle 1”.
Daniel Kessler has some of the best foot work i've ever seen by a guitarist....
"Neat feet"
Nigga hit the milly rock
I just love watching him move around
I also love when he puts his pick up when he’s not playing
Slow hands though...
00:00 - Slow hands
03:05 - Narc
08:05 - Say hello to the angels
12:37 - C'mere

Jonatas Fernando Rusch It does suck that PDA ended short though XD

I could watch Daniel Kessler play guitar all day.
South African? Yes…
Not even jail is the absolute best.
The bit between Evil an PDA
Not even jail & PDA both have the best outros in any rock song ever. That album was the shit
my son was so impressed by interpol his band was inspired by them and he did the mixing on the floor thing copying Paul on live gigs, folk loved it.
Great performance.. Carlos is like a robot. Never misses a note and always on time. Love it!
