2007, the golden age of Interpol, OLTA is such a wonderful underrated album. At the same time everything was played on stage to perfection and especially Paul's voice reached the sky!
That's right, OLTA has the most brilliant songs the band has made up to date: Pioneers to the Falls, Rest My Chemistry, No I in Threesome, Pace is the Trick and The Heinrich Maneuver.
I was there watching this set as the sun was setting was stunning, I saw them again in 2010. They are so atmospheric only Interpol can make the main stage of reading feel intimate and were even better at rock city in Nottingham. Hope they will re appear soon!
d deadjl I went by myself and loved every second of it. front "row" (standing room only) for $20 in Providence in June. and the bar was thirty feet from me. i have tons of videos, but only uploaded two little ones (oddly in 240p) because i'm clearly losing my mind in the other vids and it's a little embarrassing.
6.38 Kings of Leon drummer. wow. I luv both bands. if he's chilling he must dig the music (interpol); he could have slept on the bus or the hotel; fyi caleb's girlfiend (now wife). good taste in music. cool people
Drummers have quirks and some like to attach a memento to their kit. Take Nathan Followill, watching Interpol here - he had a mini University of Oklahoma football helmet attached to his kit for a time. Others might have an affiliation or something worked into their kick drum display head design.
Carlos is too cool for school.
carlos is cool in general

Ah Jeez, anyone remember coming up in their tent cause they couldn’t deal with it haha!
@@craigprice6698 I was in London that day and discovered Interpol a few months later. Did I miss a part of my life?
😭🤣

One of the few bands that really worth it actually.
9:35 I guess you aren't ready for that, yet. But your kids are gonna love it.
Paul lookin like a snack here
Really great. “Sleep tite, grim rite, we’ve got 200 couches for you to...” is really brilliant. What a great song. It’s so distinct.
29:25 I wanna cry, this is too good to be true
It really is.
It is.
Such a beautiful moment

I was there too!
Jesus Christ they were in top form here!
I was lucky enough to be there for this , this great video doesn’t do justice to how special this sunset-set truly felt . One of the best to do it .

3:58 Even that pigeon was lucky enough to hear them live. :((
Daniela Aguilar Hahaha yeah and that pigeon didn’t have to pay anything.
Great memories of this set. Glorious day at Reading. Glorious Interpol!
13:24 yes bro
Seeing them in Poland in a couple weeks, so excited the singer's voice is so unique
Very unique considering that his vocal range lies in the baritone section. Paul Banks is very gifted.
***** Saw them, absolutely amazing, the friends I went with are now fans of Interpol too which is brilliant
I've converted a hand full of my friends. It's great having Interpolish friends :)
Yes, I've always liked Paul's weird vocal delivery. :D

@@internetsummoner that’s the word I’m looking for. It doesn’t feel like fourteen years ago.
Paul looking all good here, whoohoo!
I was here for this. First experience on pills!! Wowza! Pioneer to the Falls took me to another dimension. Peace and love to you all guys!
Paul Banks looks like he could easily play Luke Skywalker.
6:40 is that Steve Carrell on the right?
Carlos looks like hes from the Matrix lol
I'mSpecial He is from matrix, that’s true
Sometimes he looks like a Nazi oficial too
how do you know he is not ;)?
We're all from the matrix :)

@@cerpulawith all due respect, Daniel is the soul of the band. Paul is the enforcer. Sam is father time and Carlos is Mr. Diablo.
They’re the day walker vampires!
Anyone else think Paul looks like Kurt Cobain with that hair
no
Well then...
I dont know why but reminds more Eric Forman from that 70s show. Not the hair, the face...
He'd probably love to hear that. Haha. Paul is known to have been a very big Nirvana fan.
He love nirvana and respect kurt....what do you think?
Looking forward to seeing them at FYF Fest this coming August.
Thanks for this, OLTA Interpol was one tight live act.
este es el unico grupo q me gusta tanto como the cure :3

this is a good one
I'm the only who asked to why Paul it's play the Jaguar?
Where's the Les Paul before?
4 years later lol, but he plays some of “our love to admire” songs with the jaguar (mainly for the tremolo)
Fucking brilliant

Paul sounds very good in this , but Daniel's guitar/tone just sounds really weak in this, anyone agree?
I thought Narc fell apart half way through but then DK got it back on track.
