Damn! These guys are actually pretty darn cool. I love the concept and the paint scheme is nice and dark as well. These are guard equivalent of Grey Knights and I love that. May the Emperor bless thine path, brother.
Wow, I'm glad this showed up on my feed. I've been playing and working with models for years, and I've been too intimidated by how easily you can mess up a conversion to try one. You did such an excellent job, and with tools im familiar with, that I feel like trying out my hand at conversion myself. I have always wanted to do a small group of 'Chapter Serfs' for my Dark Angels, and this video has given me quite the inspiration.

An afterthought ... Harold Coyle wrote a book called The Ten Thousand, a quasi-WW3 idea. Very good read, however, gives good relevance within it, to the title, an original Greek story of 10,000 Greek soldiers stranded in foreign lands, forced to fight their way home. So, alternative background idea for you
Oh cool cool stuff Ill have a look at that. Were the 10,000 the bunch who ran through the ruins of nineveh or babylon or am I remembering another bunch?
@@ThirdAndOnly Tbh, am unsure, but quick search gave me this on Wikipedia. I like the name Xenephon for a space Marine custom army I've half created atm, but thought the historical note could be of use for you. These are exceptional! They somehow appear completely novel while also being firmly orthodox in the imperial canon. Shame about the focus on the photos, so much blurrier than the cam footage - but would love to see more of the 10,000 (excellent reference BTW)
Thanks man! Yeah the focus was really annoying and I don't really understand why it wouldn't work properly for the photos. I may try a lighter background next time.
Thanks! The Armor is mixes of abadon black, mechanicus standard grey and Dawnstone and some nuln oil. The trim is rinox hide mixed with balthazar gold and then retributor armor. Bone is Balor brown, Baneblade brown and screaming skull. Red is khorne red mixed with black and khorne red normal with some carburg crimson. Gun cases are Khorne red mixed with Kantor blue. I am planning to do a painting video in the next month or so In case you want more than just a paint list.
Yeah other people have raised this too, I think until I can think of something else its staying though because its not just the custodes its at least also an iron hands successor and a few other things in the 40k world
May the all mighty algorithm bless your travels through the immaterium
Looks fantastic!! You’d never know this was your first kitbash! Keep it up!

Wow man thanks! That chapter serfs idea sounds awesome too!
The idea about the bones confusing daemons actually made me go out loud “that’s rad…” super cool idea!
Thanks, thats really nice to hear!

@@TurbanCatMccoy Oh awesome, that would add some nice justification to all the other weird lookingness for this lot too
Those look great and feel really unique in a good way.
If a whole converted army is too much, you could aim for a combat patrol.
Great job!
Those helmets are awesome.
these look ace mate well done
More video's including how you will tackle other units/vehicles/agents of the imperium will be cool.
Working on one as we speak!
Good start.
Nice work man!
Really cool idea and kitbash! Love the look and feel of these guys.
Super cool conversion and lore!
The algorithm got ya brother, keep it up
Oh my goodness it has, this is not what I thought I'd wake up too! Thanks man!
I've been thinking about how I could do a similar thing for my Cadians - that is, turning them all into inquisitorial troops. This is really great!
They look so awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Magnificent work!
Very cool conversions mate. Would love to see these as a full, combat patrol, sized force.
Thanks man, thats the current goal
Great job got my attention, can't wait to see more of this. And yes I would like to see you painting more of them. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Thanks! Happy Christmas to you too!
These are really, really cool man. Keep it up :)
Amazing team and great Video - have my sub. They really look grim dark
Thanks man!
Now this is intresting

@@simondaly9960 Oh yeah it was him who went through the cities. Thanks for the pointer dude.
This is really good!
Very nice concept and execution as well! The final reveal pictures of the finished models could be a bit more better, but awesome vid nonetheless.
Love the look and the lore. Maybe change the number though?
As I think the custodes are also called the 10 000. I might be wrong on this though.
Thanks and, yeah good point, Ill have a think.
Looks cool.
These look amazing thinking on doing up a similar style kill team

Just keep „The 10.000“ as a name! It’s awesome
Thanks! I have heard now that the custodes use that as their name but since I have never actually heard them called that it may remain.
Great work! what paints did you use?

damn this is so cool
based
I would suggest a name change or at least a different number, the name has crossover with one of the names for the custodies.

White background may help the pictures.
Yeah I think I may try that next time, I thought black would be better for the mood but its just a bit hard to see.
