(i've broke my mind on Teams... such unintuitive product, esspecially when you go deep to sharepoints etc) And have this dilemma - MS Teams + OneDrive + Planner (maybe Trello, because there is no way to Ctrl_V screenshot into Planner, what a mess... where they looking at...) or Slack + Gdrive + Trello. And looks like 1st is about - ALLin1, 2nd is about - BESTin1 Any idea? Would appreciate your reply, Kev
Very, very similar to Discord from what I see. Except that in Discord you can share yout screen in the free plan. And with s single email address, you can create multiple servers on Discord for free. I have one for gaming, one for my friends and family and one for my business, which we use just like Slack.

Hi Kevin! I just went through Microsoft Forms to create a survey and wanted to collect the recipients' email addresses. But there isn't any option to automatically collect and verify the email address in Microsoft Forms. Initially, I used Google Forms which has this feature. If you could tell how to do this in MS Forms, then it would be helpful.🖥💻

Sorry if it's a dumb question but what if you want a personal slack account to join other communities? I've heard joining communities around data engineering can be a good way to get work but I'm not really sure how that works in terms of what account to set up and how to join them
Am I wrong in thinking Slack is very much like Discord and how you can do things there? I don't currently **need** to know how to use Slack, but it's a useful skill for a future workplace I am trying to get into. However upon watching this video, Slack felt very familiar as I have been using Discord for years. I was glad to see the familiarity with Slack since I also wanted to learn how to use Atlassian Confluence and it was considerably more confusing to get a grasp on. lol!

Hi Kevin. Would it be possible to have two screens in Teams with two displays connected to one PC? One with a Power Point presentation for example and the other with the 7x7 screen to check on students while I am presenting?
Hey Victor - yes, that should work fine, as long as you have enough ports to connect two displays. That's actually the best way to present while also staying connected to chat and video. If you don't have a second display, you can also connect with your mobile device using your same account and use that for video and chat. In a sense, your mobile device becomes your second display. I like slack, nevertheless I do not see any real novelty, just a new cover up for massive data collection. Would honestly throw money at a mash-up between monday and slack.

Excellent quick tutorial Kevin! Thanks very much - I've shared it loads with people in a few different Slack Workplaces. Frequently saves me the need to provide a zoom tutorial, which I do offer. Just one thing - when you use the term 'Public' - you mean of course public within the membership of the particular Slack Workplace - but this is not automatically clear to some who are new to Slack. One member raised this having watched your video, thinking it nust mean totally public - open to all and findable. Maybe worth making that crystal clear if you're doing a new version of the tutorial.

Looking at the list of people to whom you can send a message, it doesn't appear that I have the choice of selecting a private channel. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Why does Slack break the Web? If I try to use the Web app on my phone, it often keeps pushing me to install the native app, which doesn't work on my phone. This is negating a principal feature of the Web....it's kind of the whole point that all you need is a web browser and it'll work, but slack think they know better.
is there a separate window or "space" to store personal notes ? for work, so I could be able to go back and see them or pull them out, when needed ? a.k.a. like Apple's NOTES APP??

google calendar can work so (public calendars). Also, check Wrike. maybe it is what you are looking for
