cool video! Your truck didn't break down. All your doors rolled up like normal. No customers refusing cases, asking why you're so late, complaining about the salesman, or the prices. Nobody yelled at you to move your truck. Seems you didnt have any cvs's on your route that only have 2 people working and they're both on the register so you're waiting 20 minutes just to get scanned. Lol I could go on and on
Thought only my branch went through this lol man tell me about it we are just drivers and that's it

His handheld didn’t freeze up, his handhelds battery didn’t mysteriously die when it said full, his printer battery didn’t die either

I did this job for quite a while. It is not easy. It is hard ass labor. I have much respect for these guys
I do that job and I'm no guy. I also work 10-12 hour days and I'm 55 years old. Right now it's winter here in Canada so that's an added challenge. It keeps you in shape and I feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.
Not really they get to be in the road meanwhile other stress themselves to be in the same building for the whole day

I sold for RC/7UP back in 96-98 and I drank the hell out of some Dr. Pepper which was a Coca-Cola product here.

Depends on facility most our drivers only work about 9 hours.

Worked here for three years. Good company to get your CDl training. Put your time in and get out while you can. They will work you to the bone and they underpay you, not to mention they don’t put money into their equipment and trucks. truck drivers beware. This isn’t a job for a truck drivers looking to put in miles and make money. If you like physical labor and corporate bullshit this is the place for you.

Very nice video, I use to work for Coca-Cola back in the 90's... it's good to see how some still take pride in their work. I haven't seen drivers rotate let alone face the product. Good stuff I miss this type of work but not sure I'd be able to do it now as I'm getting older lol

Yeah it’s usually a shit show. On premise is a little different from large chain grocery though. I was a merchandiser and supervisor for Pepsi for 7 years. Recently got out of it because I’m burnt out from grocery. Thankless job

Umm u must be at one shitty coke distributor if you're doing over 1300 cases especially in a fucking sideload 😂😭💩 sideload for us back when we use to do that (now RD with lift gate) we did like 300-400 cases.
In Australia, coca-cola and other drink delivery drivers don't stock the fridges in the stores. They just deliver. We store attendants do the stocking.
That is how it should be. These drivers do the work of 2 people

It’s called a vendor job . vendors deliver goods and services which is what he is doing . delivering the goods ( coke) and providing a service (stocking the product on the shelves)

Where’s the arguments with store clerks and owners??? Or waiting 20 minutes to check in the order because the clerk can’t leave register because one customer is in the store. Delivering to corner stores is garbage!
I'm surprised a truck that old is in that good of shape and that a large company like Coke would be running it. Figured it would be an under 10 year old Freightliner.

I’ve been a driver and a merchandiser for Pepsi and Budweiser..I prefer beer not as much singles..the singles suck..but then again I’d rather deliver soda..not as much glass lol..this job has its ups and down as most jobs but it is a good job and will always be around!i have an interview at coke this Tuesday!

Depends where our drivers only have to merch family dollars and that's basically it every thing else they just drop and go.

@@cmb9059 I like being a sideload truck driver. I can do the route the way I wana run it. Starting at 3am and being done by 8:30-9am feels pretty good. Still get paid my 8 hours.

I was offered this job today. They said 6am to 6pm. Don’t know if I want to do 12 hours everyday. That means everyday you got to be on. He said something like 12 cases so I’ll take this weekend to think this offer over.

How much usually stops you have to do? I heard i can stay everyday at home instead of long trips through states but little bit less salary and again how do they pay for 4 weeks or a month? If I deliver containers for supermarkets and per week i get 700€ in Netherlands….i would appreciate the aswers.

I worked for Pepsi and Budweiser, both companies and all drivers merchandised everything we delivered. I wouldn’t classify all drivers just because y’all don’t

@@TheColbles2009 I did this for 17 years working for Canada Dry in Philly - South Jersey area. When I first started there in 1996 we didn't merchandise anything. As time went on we were required to do some merchandising, particularly in Wawa's and drug stores.
I run Telsell here in TN, and we don't stock anything lol. I'd go 4 Day Cool Lift before doing Telsell while having to stock.

27 yrs as truck driver. almost 20 of them in NYC doing literally ALL kind of deliveries. Now living in FL. CC of FL the WORST company I ever worked.

Also, I have found that Coke is the worst type of soda for acid reflux and it makes you clear your throat all the time once you get it.

Lets see how a merch/driver feels after doing 20 to 25 stops every single day and about 450 cases.. not fun at all.. n dont let me get started with coolift nore dispatch.. great company in a whole but when u get down to delivery is literally hell.. great video but next time show the real thing.. ull see drivers pretty much hating life everyday.. out 100 drivers maybe 2 seriously enjoy the job..

VorTex gAmEr it is, most delivery drivers merchandise the stuff they deliver, coke, pepsi, beer vendors, frito lay etc.
@@codywilliamson5686 for small store. Large store like walmarts and Kroger's drivers drop it off and company's like coke have a merchandiser that stocks it.

That's crazy yea like for us its just small stores like gas stations liquor stores and pharmacies stores that get filled by drivers and they're RD drivers bulk drivers just unload pallets with electric Jack in backroom and drop it for merchandisers to stock.

wow one empty truck going out i could squeeze 700-800+ cases on that thing 2;05 the three rows need to be wrapped ? i gess the warehouse has alot of potholes lol .. we have drivers want each stop in one bay !!nightmare!!load BUT I'LL TAKE THE O.T . as a loader but then management goes what only loaded 3 trucks today // instead of a solid pallet in each bay and so on we gotta handle every case . kiss my butt some days i can load 12000 some days 3500 if you got thge jerk driver wants 3 cases of everything in every size oh well we had route guys that kicked ass loaded their truck with load sheets but then it went to hourly drivers with computer orders wow that fracked it all up
