Oh, yeah! Silver Bells will never be the same, it's better; I've purposed to learn to master, at least get decent at, the page turn pedal. Got it charged, synced and operational. I will stick with it this time. Those page turns can be brutal. I see yours dancing around. Love this style for the staid and straight silver bell type stuff. Good work again.
Haha! The page turns are interesting. The Brent Edstrom arrangements often have D.S. or D.C. where my foot has to madly tap backwards through 5 or so pages. Some of them are too hard to do, and I end up taking screenshots and reordering pages so that I only have to tap forwards. I do that especially if it ruins the flow of the music. On some arrangements, you'll see that I highlight the D.S., the signs, and the codas so that my eye jumps to the correct page. Especially if the Segno is buried in the middle of a page! The page turning pedal is a definite game changer for choir accompaniments. I don't know how many pieces I've played where the page turns are absolutely impossible without a pedal! (I think a lot of choir arrangers don't think about the poor piano player!)
@@elenafortinmusic Yeah. I have to pair the device everytime I want to use it in a session. Yesterday, I went forward 4-5 pages in one go. Gets some getting used to.
@@DavidMiller-bp7et Did you end up ordering the same one as me? The P33-01 pedal has a little switch that turns off multi-page tapping. That's good if your foot gets "twitchy". lol. My I-pad remembers the pedal so I don't have to re-pair it unless I switch devices--very handy!
@@elenafortinmusic I got a JOYO JSP-01. Will look for a switch. There are some switches (modes/stations). Will see if there is such a one on mine. Just getting to know it.
@@DavidMiller-bp7et You'll have to let me know how you like the pedal. I did experiment with two other ones--an airturn and a different one, both quite expensive, but ended up returning them. One of them had a push button mechanism which made it hard to feel whether you had pushed it or not--one of those rubber "air bubble" kind of buttons! Some are even harder to feel/find when you are wearing shoes! I like to put non-skid rubber feet on them if it doesn't come with it. Nothing worse than going to tap a pedal that isn't there any more!! lol
