I feel like this was common knowledge when I was a teenager in the early 2000s. Women didn’t cake on foundation the way they do now. I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup until I was 15 and it was such a beautiful experience when my mother took me to MAC to buy my first makeup. The makeup artist did a beautiful job. She put concealer on the problem areas and just put compact powder and blush on my face and a bit of bronzer, eyeshadow and eyeliner and it was so beautifull. So fresh and natural. Perfect for a girl my age at the time. I will never forget that experience.

Me too! I was 32 when I bought my first foundation (sales person convinced me to) but I still try not to go overboard. I always used concealer where I needed it and that's that 😊
Since the pandemic, I’ve cut out foundation from my makeup routine, and stuck to concealer under my eyes and in old acne scars. It definitely looks more natural and flattering.
I only use concealer for discolouration /acne /bumps and do my regular makeup routine (contouring, highlighter, blush...) it's been a game changer for me and I get more compliments on my appearance than ever before. 😌

Used to work at the VS beauty counter, young woman came in with her family and near perfect skin but wanted a full collection of makeup. I dabbed a little concealer on her and she was GLOWING. I insisted she buy just the concealer, she did and left very happy. Made my day. ❤
Soo when my eyes started getting.. Lets say "tired", I mistakenly purchased the Maybelline Simply Ageless concealer and believed it was a mini of the foundation and it looked Amaaazzinnnggg. Needless to say I was bragging to my siater how the travel size was so much nicer and as shes reading the bottle just busted out laughing and said "Ya your flawless because you're wearing Concealer as foundation!!!" 😂🤦🏻 We've both been wearing it since! 🤘🏼🖤
The last time I used foundation ooooh it's been a good couple of years. I do however want to spot conceal on days I want my skin, but better look. So I've been eyeing this concealer. The hard part will be getting a match for my skintone.

There's times when I've used concealer as a foundation (usually when I've needed to get ready quicker or when just playing around with makeup to then just take pics and wipe it all off 😂 we all do it!) But I always found it applies better, faster and looks nicer (just a dusting of loose powder to finish) It's so awesome to hear a Makeup Artist talking about this method! 😃
Finally...I thought I'm the one who thinks skin looks better with just concealer as base than foundation..I've been noticing whenever I use foundation I feel heavy and it looks as if I've lots of makeup on but with concealer most people think my skin is glowing 😂
I do the same now. As I've gotten older I like my skin to look natural. I'm loving all the cream blushes and bronzers too. I still my Hourglass Veil setting powder and the 3 HG Finishing powders in a palette. I use a Natasha Denona stick cream highlighter which looks like a glow. I put it on before my blush.

I am Indian , 38 years old. My skin tone varies from Bareminerals neutral tan to golden tan. I really like the Milani Conceal and Perfect concealer from the drugstore.
GAME CHANGER, Wayne!!! Thank you so much for this revelationary-tip!! (Upper 60’s here) and have learned that older women (and most younger ones, too)… look best with fresh unadultered skin showing. This approach diminishes the dreaded age spots on the side of the face so much better than any foundation I have ever tried and the brush that I blend it in with has just enough product on it to hit the sides of the nose to finish things off. The rest of my natural skin (cheeks, forehead, nose and chin) just get to be their natural self. I look so much better this way and ditto for my sister who tried this approach as well. Thank you so much!!! (I tried three different concealers, Nars, Elf Camo and L’Oréal….. ALL three were terrific!)
I love the maybelline fit me matte and poreless foundation. It’s AMAAAAAAZING. I love the age rewind concealer. It’s creamy but thick, idk how else to describe it. It doesn’t settle like a lot of moisturizing concealers and it’s very pigmented and high coverage without being dry.
I bought this but had a really hard time trying to open it. Can you please explain how it works? I took the sponge applicator off as I heard some people did not care for it. I have only gotten the tiniest amount out but I can not get it out to use. I feel ridiculous asking this question.
@@carolenavarro9640 you are not supposed to take out the sponge love. Turn the bottom part of the concealer anti-clockwise and the product will rise to the sponge and you can apply it.♡

I am 60 and for the first time tried tarte tape concealer as my foundation thanks to Wayne Goss. I absolutely love it! It's more natural looking and gives better coverage which is interesting. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Thank you for saying concealer doesn’t have to be lighter than foundation. I have half a dozen concealers because I was trying to follow this “rule.” I like L’Oréal Infallible concealer.
Lancôme Effacernes Concealer changed the way I apply my makeup. You need a tiny TINY amount and it covers perfectly with a lightness I can’t describe. I love to spot conceal and use a tinted moisturizer elsewhere. Drugstore favorite is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. It’s nearly as good.
I've watched you for years Wayne but I really think you're totally smashing it with your content lately. The 4k tutorials are going to be so fab. I use Fit Me and Age Rewind concealers the most and have always used concealer instead of foundation. I've never used a high end one because they never give you a sample to try like you often can with foundation so I can't risk wasting the money 😘
i’ve been using the hourglass vanish concealer lately as a foundation and i’m so mad at myself for not doing it earlier! using concealer as a base has given me the perfect color match i’ve been trying to achieve for years with foundation (and haven’t succeed).
Good thing it’s highly concentrated because it’s expensive per ounce - never thought of trying it this way, I just avoided buying it because of mixed reviews for under eyes over 40 (or 50 🤷♀️) and EVERYTHING is dry on me unless it’s Tarte Creaseless concealer (not water based).
Wow! Since it’s my day off and I’m a huge chicken, I ran to Walmart and grabbed some Elf el cheapo concealer and just played around with it as my foundation and to my utter and complete shock....it looks great, even on my old 59 year old sun damaged skin. I plan to wear it to work tomorrow as a real test and to see how the low end concealer wears and if I am pleased with it’s wearability and if I am I will up grade to a “better” quality as may be needed. So far I am blown away by your genius and the reasons behind it. Thank you, Wayne!
I have used Bare Minerals Well-Rested as a foundation. And have used their Correcting Concealer in Light 1 also as a foundation to cover my Roseacea on my cheeks and nose,since foundation tends to slip off my nose and works like a dream! Also, itt is waterproof ! I've worn it in a pool through a workout (laps) for hours and it didnt budge! It's amazing! I just wish they made the size bigger, its tiny and costly.....💁
Are both concealers waterproof? Or just the well rested one. My skin is super oily and I’m always searching for something that doesn’t slip off my face. Thanks.
@@dalidamcelhaney3834 Just the Correcting Concealer, in my experience. It is a cream with a sticky texture,but I use my fingers and it warms up. It is very pigmented and doesnt really have slip, but I just pat it on with my fingers and smooth out... Then I use a light translucent powder to set. It is tiny ,but I dont need much...💁

My Holy Grail is Loreal True Match + Eye Cream Concealer. It has hyaluronic acid. I'm 40yrs old with very dry skin due to Covid and the constant need to wash/scrub real good after volunteering at the hospital so my skin is aging, but also dry. Very dry.
My favorite drugstore combo is L'Oreal Pro-glow over my face and Milani Conceal Perfect as a concealer. I'm 44 and this has worked like a dream for my always changing skin.
Hey honey brand concealer is the only one I can use on my skin without it just looking like a dry flaky mess, no matter how much exfoliating and moisturizing I do! It's so moisturizing, and buildable. It gives me confidence because I'm not coloring myself into someone else... it's just me, but the version I feel like inside! Thank you for your videos, I've been watching for at least 10 years! I have recently started using NYX’s Born to Glow concealer, and I am very impressed with how it looks on the skin. Maybeline age rewind would be my runner up at the drugstore.
I absolutely love it when Wayne goes into things like “it was quite peculiar that I got roasted for liking the fit me foundation” but I love it & would love to hear more stories like this. I too enjoy the fit my foundation & concealer but not my favorite. I have been loving the secret brightening concealer from laura mercier, although the shade range is despicable. I love fit me concealer! I started using it last week after ditching foundation and it is lovely and great price too! I like to concentrate on excellent skincare nowadays and like less makeup, so concealer is great for covering the imperfections like annoyingly rosy cheeks I am "blessed" with lol.
Lately I've been using concealer instead of foundation just to cover up some areas of my face and I just love how light it feels. My go-to product has always been Maybelline Fit Me, but I alternate it with Too Faced Born This Way...I find both to be incredibly good, at least for me they work perfectly.
After two of your videos about how much better concealer is as a foundation, I decided to try it and, bloody hell, it is! Loads better. Smoother, sheerer and better coverage. Why is isn't everyone doing this?
I started doing this for work! Just concealer where needed and then a little powder all over to smooth everything together. I love how fresh and natural it looks and feels so much lighter on the face than a full beat.
I live by the Maybelline Fit Me foundation and concealer. My skin is quite dry, especially my under eyes. I found that the Fit Me concealers are the only ones that aren’t drying. I also use them as my foundation when I’m in a hurry. They’re great. *chef’s kiss*
@@jyqx I apply a small amount and build the coverage up. I don’t set my concealers cause it makes my under eyes to get dry. I’m the Sahara desert dry type. Lol so I usually don’t set my foundation and concealer. Also, if you have dry under eyes, I advise to not bake your concealer. That can cause more drying and will definitely age you. Just my opinion.
I'm a big fan of the Avon Power Stay concealer, it's waterproof, so it stays put for a long time and it doesn't crease! Thanks for your amazing videos!
I have been using concealer instead of foundation for some time and I love it, it really looks better than using foundation on your whole face. I have tried a lot of drugstore concealers. The best ones so far for me are Catrice cosmetics liquid camouflage and my recent favourite Makeup revolution infinite conceal and define. ABSOLUTELY love those.
Wayne, thank you for this timely video! My HG is NARS soft matte concealer in the shade, Hazelnut. I saw a TH-cam video last year where Naomi Campbell applied her makeup in a little over 5 minutes using all NARS products. I was intrigued because she used the soft matte concealer as her base and applied it with a good old fashioned wedge sponge. She set it with a skin tone powder and she looked flawless! I just returned to my office after working remotely for nearly a year. I find that I prefer to apply my makeup at work now and using concealer as my base saves me a lot of time. To brighten my under-eye, I use my MAC Prep and Prime highlighter pen in the shade Peach Lustre.
I have a very small tube of it concealer and love it never thought to use as foundation,I'm 62 and tried many foundations can't seem to find any that I can say is perfect,that will be my next step to try concealer
Hi Wayne, love your videos. I have used Cle de Peau happily for 10 years. My skin is extremely dry now at age 58, yet this concealer still looks fabulous. I'm a makeup minimalist with lovely skin who uses this one product to even out my skintone on any area of my face requiring help. Thanks for all you do. I adore you.
My fav concealer is Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection concealer. I've been doing the Bobbi Brown technique for decades: using concealer to cover and even out skin tone and only use foundation if needed sparingly. Bests results ever. Then go in with powder, bronzer, blush, brow, mascara and lips. Nothing crazy, just natural. My make up lasts all day, too! Love that you have brought this to our attention. I may drop my foundation and give this a go. Thanks!

I love Burt's Bees concealer. I find that it's sheer and effective, never creases (after setting, of course), and is so easy to build up. I usually do a teeny tiny spot of concealer under each eye, pat it out with my finger, and then go back in twice more, same method. I personally don't enjoy heavy coverage skin makeup, so this one is perfect for brightening up my skin in a very natural and sheer way. It does have good pigment as well, and melts into the skin. Does not look thick even after 4+ applications. I love it.

I discovered concealer as foundation accidentally. I got way too much out once. So, I just kept spreading it around my face, and I loved the outcome. That one was Yves Saint Laurent Touch Eclat. But I went back to my regular makeup and wondered why I did that for years. Still been wondering. More recently I’ve been using Tarte Shape Tape. Think I’ll give ‘em a go the next time I need foundation. So glad to see that you’ve validated my “mistake”. You, my dear sir, are absolutely the very best. ❤️
No only does Wayne do close up’s in 4K, he wants to show us *real skin* therefore real results. Very refreshing considering the tendency to airbrush into oblivion. (Who needs a tutorial on Fox eye makeup when you can literally change the shape of your eyes?)
So happy you mentioned that you prefer darker concealers. I never liked concealers that were lighter than my skin and I could not understand why most people seemed to like it. I always use a shade which is a tad warmer than my skin, it looks so much healthier! At the moment (considering wearing masks and all) I just wear Estee Lauder Day Wear which goes on grey and then turns darker on your skin and my favourite concealer has to be Make Up For Ever Ultra HD concealer, by far the best!!! xx
My skin hates foundation so I like to put the bareminerals liquid serum concealer on my acne scars on my cheeks and a little on my forehead and it blends into my skin so well. My favorite concealer I’ve found in a really long time
No wonder I prefer Mac Pro Longwear foundation - it's pretty much like a concealer - it has less slip and more pigment than all the other foundations I've tried. And definitely dries faster on the skin - perfect for my combination leaning to oily type. I don't know if this falls under the category of concealer recommendations, but I would certainly recommend it. I apply it over my face and it blends nicely even with fingers when I do lip art (macro shots, that is), and on a daily basis I use it just to mask some individual spots without covering up all my face - and it works perfectly this way, too.
100% agree with you! Have been using Cover fx power play concealer and it has ended my long search for the perfect foundation shade. Their shade range is broad and looks natural against the skin. It’s literally skin in a bottle and I get compliments when wearing it. With concealer, it’s cheaper than foundation, better coverage, doesn’t oxidise and a lil goes a long way
Wow! I feel smart lol, Ive been using concealer only for years! I just found it to be faster and more natural looking and so eventually I stopped wearing foundation. Good to know I'm not crazy. I love the look i get with just primer, concealer used sparingly, and set with powder. =) great video! I love the IL Makiage F*ck Im Flawless concealer for my whole face... and L'oreal True Match super blendable concealer... although i havent used that one on my whole face in a very long time. I use it to clean up my brows a bit.
Finally Wayne Gods endorsed concealer as Foundation. I do that and it is just amazing!! My favourite is Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer. So stretchy and omg he just mentioned while I was typing.

I've been dying to try the new creamy one. The elf hydro camo concealer is my fave of all time rn. I love shape tapes coverage but its sooo thick. And elf doesn't have my exact shade. You just convinced me to put a tarte order together.

Back to using Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer after a few years of trying others. So happy! Mix a bit in my moisturizer then dab a bit full strength where needed and it gives me a natural but perfected look. Totally loving it!
SPF tinted moisturizer + concealer has been my go-to with age. I used bare minerals for years but started to feel like all over coverage settled into fine lines too much as I entered my 30s and aged me a ton.
Wayne we love you ! You know ? I'm from Italy (sorry for my bad english) and I am 49... Less is more, this has been my motto for some years now. In fact, the foundation I use little and only in some areas of the face, the concealer helps more in these cases. I recently started to appreciate the Born this way multi use by TF.
You’ve got me thinking Wayne! In all honesty, I rarely use concealer. I THINK I’m fortunate enough to be able to get away with just a thin layer of foundation or tinted moisturizer. Now anyways. My favorite concealer is Tarte’s Shape Tape. I have tried others but always come back to Shape Tape. I have very dark under eye circles and this one does the best job covering them up!
Well since Wayne recommended Born This Way concealer on a previous video it's now something I cannot do without. Absolutely love it. Great coverage and you get heaps of product (15ml).
I also bought It because of his recommendation. But I Just dont love It so much🙁 it spreads out way to much under my eyes. I always blend concealer with my finger. Im gonna try it As a foundation now. My holy grail is the nars creamy concealer . Nothing compares😁

All are great for under eyes and skin and no slip, easy blend. Thabk you Wayne for teaching me so much. I skip foundation too as oily skinned. I set makeup religiously with Laura Mercier Setting powder
Coffee Break With Dani did the 10 minute look with just using a concealer down middle of face and spreading out with a wet sponge. It works. Skin looks (and feels) like I'm not wearing makeup, but looks flawless. Maybelline's Age Rewind works well for that. That is what I'll be using through spring and summer.
I love Loreal Infallable More Than Concealer the most. I use that technique on my mature aged clients and they are alwayes pleased and also look very very beautiful ❤️

Yes I use this its light yet good coverage for my 65yr old skin it covers a few spider red veins on my cheeks which I have had all my life,a little green tint corrective cream by barry m helps underneath concealer 🖐🤗
Chanel concealers are amazing. Blend like a dream with perfect color matches for my neutral tan, medium beige complexion. The price point on their foundation is steep so using the concealers is a great cost saving option Thank you Wayne, I’m a forever fan.

Finally...I thought I'm the one who thinks skin looks better with just concealer as base than foundation..I've been noticing whenever I use foundation I feel heavy and it looks as if I've lots of makeup on but with concealer most people think my skin is glowing 😂
I do the same now. As I've gotten older I like my skin to look natural. I'm loving all the cream blushes and bronzers too. I still my Hourglass Veil setting powder and the 3 HG Finishing powders in a palette. I use a Natasha Denona stick cream highlighter which looks like a glow. I put it on before my blush.

Elf camo concealer !! Only $6 and they have most shades at every drugstore. I use it for my full face and its such a gorgeous finish.
GAME CHANGER, Wayne!!! Thank you so much for this revelationary-tip!! (Upper 60’s here) and have learned that older women (and most younger ones, too)… look best with fresh unadultered skin showing. This approach diminishes the dreaded age spots on the side of the face so much better than any foundation I have ever tried and the brush that I blend it in with has just enough product on it to hit the sides of the nose to finish things off. The rest of my natural skin (cheeks, forehead, nose and chin) just get to be their natural self. I look so much better this way and ditto for my sister who tried this approach as well. I love the maybelline fit me matte and poreless foundation. It’s AMAAAAAAZING. I love the age rewind concealer. It’s creamy but thick, idk how else to describe it. It doesn’t settle like a lot of moisturizing concealers and it’s very pigmented and high coverage without being dry.

I bought this but had a really hard time trying to open it. Can you please explain how it works? I took the sponge applicator off as I heard some people did not care for it. I have only gotten the tiniest amount out but I can not get it out to use. I feel ridiculous asking this question.
@@carolenavarro9640 you are not supposed to take out the sponge love. Turn the bottom part of the concealer anti-clockwise and the product will rise to the sponge and you can apply it.♡

Lancôme Effacernes Concealer changed the way I apply my makeup. You need a tiny TINY amount and it covers perfectly with a lightness I can’t describe. I love to spot conceal and use a tinted moisturizer elsewhere. Drugstore favorite is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. It’s nearly as good.
I love the Lancôme also! I heard not that long ago that they may be discontinuing it, I sure hope that’s not true!

I've watched you for years Wayne but I really think you're totally smashing it with your content lately. The 4k tutorials are going to be so fab. I use Fit Me and Age Rewind concealers the most and have always used concealer instead of foundation. I've never used a high end one because they never give you a sample to try like you often can with foundation so I can't risk wasting the money 😘

i’ve been using the hourglass vanish concealer lately as a foundation and i’m so mad at myself for not doing it earlier! using concealer as a base has given me the perfect color match i’ve been trying to achieve for years with foundation (and haven’t succeed).
Good thing it’s highly concentrated because it’s expensive per ounce - never thought of trying it this way, I just avoided buying it because of mixed reviews for under eyes over 40 (or 50 🤷♀️) and EVERYTHING is dry on me unless it’s Tarte Creaseless concealer (not water based).

Since it’s my day off and I’m a huge chicken, I ran to Walmart and grabbed some Elf el cheapo concealer and just played around with it as my foundation and to my utter and complete shock....it looks great, even on my old 59 year old sun damaged skin. I plan to wear it to work tomorrow as a real test and to see how the low end concealer wears and if I am pleased with it’s wearability and if I am I will up grade to a “better” quality as may be needed. I have used Bare Minerals Well-Rested as a foundation. And have used their Correcting Concealer in Light 1 also as a foundation to cover my Roseacea on my cheeks and nose,since foundation tends to slip off my nose and works like a dream! Also, itt is waterproof ! I've worn it in a pool through a workout (laps) for hours and it didnt budge! It's amazing! I just wish they made the size bigger, its tiny and costly.....💁

@@dalidamcelhaney3834 Just the Correcting Concealer, in my experience. It is a cream with a sticky texture,but I use my fingers and it warms up. It is very pigmented and doesnt really have slip, but I just pat it on with my fingers and smooth out... Then I use a light translucent powder to set. It is tiny ,but I dont need much...💁

My Holy Grail is Loreal True Match + Eye Cream Concealer. It has hyaluronic acid. I'm 40yrs old with very dry skin due to Covid and the constant need to wash/scrub real good after volunteering at the hospital so my skin is aging, but also dry. Very dry.
My favorite drugstore combo is L'Oreal Pro-glow over my face and Milani Conceal Perfect as a concealer. I'm 44 and this has worked like a dream for my always changing skin.

Hey honey brand concealer is the only one I can use on my skin without it just looking like a dry flaky mess, no matter how much exfoliating and moisturizing I do! It's so moisturizing, and buildable. It gives me confidence because I'm not coloring myself into someone else... it's just me, but the version I feel like inside! I have recently started using NYX’s Born to Glow concealer, and I am very impressed with how it looks on the skin. Maybeline age rewind would be my runner up at the drugstore.
I absolutely love it when Wayne goes into things like “it was quite peculiar that I got roasted for liking the fit me foundation” but I love it & would love to hear more stories like this. I too enjoy the fit my foundation & concealer but not my favorite. I have been loving the secret brightening concealer from laura mercier, although the shade range is despicable. I love fit me concealer! I started using it last week after ditching foundation and it is lovely and great price too! I like to concentrate on excellent skincare nowadays and like less makeup, so concealer is great for covering the imperfections like annoyingly rosy cheeks I am "blessed" with lol.
Lately I've been using concealer instead of foundation just to cover up some areas of my face and I just love how light it feels. My go-to product has always been Maybelline Fit Me, but I alternate it with Too Faced Born This Way...I find both to be incredibly good, at least for me they work perfectly.

I started doing this for work! Just concealer where needed and then a little powder all over to smooth everything together. I love how fresh and natural it looks and feels so much lighter on the face than a full beat.
I live by the Maybelline Fit Me foundation and concealer. My skin is quite dry, especially my under eyes. I found that the Fit Me concealers are the only ones that aren’t drying. I also use them as my foundation when I’m in a hurry. They’re great. *chef’s kiss*

@@jyqx I apply a small amount and build the coverage up. I don’t set my concealers cause it makes my under eyes to get dry. I’m the Sahara desert dry type. Lol so I usually don’t set my foundation and concealer.
Also, if you have dry under eyes, I advise to not bake your concealer. That can cause more drying and will definitely age you. Just my opinion.

I have been using concealer instead of foundation for some time and I love it, it really looks better than using foundation on your whole face. I have tried a lot of drugstore concealers. The best ones so far for me are Catrice cosmetics liquid camouflage and my recent favourite Makeup revolution infinite conceal and define. ABSOLUTELY love those.
Wayne, thank you for this timely video! My HG is NARS soft matte concealer in the shade, Hazelnut. I saw a TH-cam video last year where Naomi Campbell applied her makeup in a little over 5 minutes using all NARS products. I was intrigued because she used the soft matte concealer as her base and applied it with a good old fashioned wedge sponge. She set it with a skin tone powder and she looked flawless! I just returned to my office after working remotely for nearly a year. I find that I prefer to apply my makeup at work now and using concealer as my base saves me a lot of time. To brighten my under-eye, I use my MAC Prep and Prime highlighter pen in the shade Peach Lustre.
I like the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Waterproof Concealer and the Kosas concealer.

My fav concealer is Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Perfection concealer. I've been doing the Bobbi Brown technique for decades: using concealer to cover and even out skin tone and only use foundation if needed sparingly. Bests results ever. Then go in with powder, bronzer, blush, brow, mascara and lips. Nothing crazy, just natural. My make up lasts all day, too! Love that you have brought this to our attention. I may drop my foundation and give this a go. Thanks!

I love Burt's Bees concealer.
I find that it's sheer and effective, never creases (after setting, of course), and is so easy to build up. I usually do a teeny tiny spot of concealer under each eye, pat it out with my finger, and then go back in twice more, same method.
I personally don't enjoy heavy coverage skin makeup, so this one is perfect for brightening up my skin in a very natural and sheer way. It does have good pigment as well, and melts into the skin. Does not look thick even after 4+ applications. I love it.
Too Faced Born this way is just amazing for my dry to normal skin, works like magic.

I discovered concealer as foundation accidentally. I got way too much out once. So, I just kept spreading it around my face, and I loved the outcome. That one was Yves Saint Laurent Touch Eclat. But I went back to my regular makeup and wondered why I did that for years. Still been wondering. More recently I’ve been using Tarte Shape Tape. Think I’ll give ‘em a go the next time I need foundation. So glad to see that you’ve validated my “mistake”. You, my dear sir, are absolutely the very best. ❤️
No only does Wayne do close up’s in 4K, he wants to show us *real skin* therefore real results. Very refreshing considering the tendency to airbrush into oblivion. (Who needs a tutorial on Fox eye makeup when you can literally change the shape of your eyes?)

So happy you mentioned that you prefer darker concealers. I never liked concealers that were lighter than my skin and I could not understand why most people seemed to like it. I always use a shade which is a tad warmer than my skin, it looks so much healthier! At the moment (considering wearing masks and all) I just wear Estee Lauder Day Wear which goes on grey and then turns darker on your skin and my favourite concealer has to be Make Up For Ever Ultra HD concealer, by far the best!!! xx
My skin hates foundation so I like to put the bareminerals liquid serum concealer on my acne scars on my cheeks and a little on my forehead and it blends into my skin so well. My favorite concealer I’ve found in a really long time
No wonder I prefer Mac Pro Longwear foundation - it's pretty much like a concealer - it has less slip and more pigment than all the other foundations I've tried. And definitely dries faster on the skin - perfect for my combination leaning to oily type. I don't know if this falls under the category of concealer recommendations, but I would certainly recommend it. I apply it over my face and it blends nicely even with fingers when I do lip art (macro shots, that is), and on a daily basis I use it just to mask some individual spots without covering up all my face - and it works perfectly this way, too.
I use the Fit concealer as my foundation and it looks very natural. Love the tip on a darker shade if u have redness! Always love the info you give🤗
100% agree with you! Have been using Cover fx power play concealer and it has ended my long search for the perfect foundation shade. Their shade range is broad and looks natural against the skin. It’s literally skin in a bottle and I get compliments when wearing it. With concealer, it’s cheaper than foundation, better coverage, doesn’t oxidise and a lil goes a long way
Wow! I feel smart lol, Ive been using concealer only for years! I just found it to be faster and more natural looking and so eventually I stopped wearing foundation. Good to know I'm not crazy. I love the look i get with just primer, concealer used sparingly, and set with powder. =) great video!
I love the IL Makiage F*ck Im Flawless concealer for my whole face... and L'oreal True Match super blendable concealer... although i havent used that one on my whole face in a very long time. I use it to clean up my brows a bit.
Finally Wayne Gods endorsed concealer as Foundation. I do that and it is just amazing!! My favourite is Estée Lauder Double Wear concealer. So stretchy and omg he just mentioned while I was typing.

Back to using Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer after a few years of trying others. So happy! Mix a bit in my moisturizer then dab a bit full strength where needed and it gives me a natural but perfected look. Totally loving it!
SPF tinted moisturizer + concealer has been my go-to with age. I used bare minerals for years but started to feel like all over coverage settled into fine lines too much as I entered my 30s and aged me a ton.
Wayne we love you ! You know ? I'm from Italy (sorry for my bad english) and I am 49... Less is more, this has been my motto for some years now. In fact, the foundation I use little and only in some areas of the face, the concealer helps more in these cases. I recently started to appreciate the Born this way multi use by TF.

Love my too faced born this way concealer...a tiny bit goes a long way and the 15ml bottle is reasonably priced. Also fit me concealer is really nice still😉 Makeup revolution conceal and define works well too esp. on hydrated/moisturized undereyes
My favorite concealer is Tarte’s Shape Tape. I have tried others but always come back to Shape Tape. I have very dark under eye circles and this one does the best job covering them up!

Well since Wayne recommended Born This Way concealer on a previous video it's now something I cannot do without. Absolutely love it. Great coverage and you get heaps of product (15ml).

In order of perfection, LA Girl Fawn concealer. Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer 4N. Loreal Perfect Match in Amber Rose. All are great for under eyes and skin and no slip, easy blend. Thabk you Wayne for teaching me so much. I skip foundation too as oily skinned. I set makeup religiously with Laura Mercier Setting powder
Coffee Break With Dani did the 10 minute look with just using a concealer down middle of face and spreading out with a wet sponge. It works. Skin looks (and feels) like I'm not wearing makeup, but looks flawless. Maybelline's Age Rewind works well for that. That is what I'll be using through spring and summer.
My favourite is Glossier stretch concealer.. really very creamy and light on skin and leaves it glowing almost all day!

Yes I use this its light yet good coverage for my 65yr old skin it covers a few spider red veins on my cheeks which I have had all my life,a little green tint corrective cream by barry m helps underneath concealer 🖐🤗
Chanel concealers are amazing. Blend like a dream with perfect color matches for my neutral tan, medium beige complexion. The price point on their foundation is steep so using the concealers is a great cost saving option Thank you Wayne, I’m a forever fan.
