One of the first tricks I was taught was to use lip balm blot, line my lips, lipstick, blot, using that tissue as a buffer dust your lips with powder through the tissue, then apply another coat of lipstick
The last hack using concealer in the brow is just genius! If you go a bit too dark, this works so well, instead of wiping it off and starting over again. Love this video.
The first concealer “hack” works fine with alternative sponges, I’ve done this for a good couple of years! As I mature I am finding different ways to apply makeup and this is a technique that’s worked for me well. I’ve used the Nyx black sponge, the Huda sponge, the Rephr, even a couple of random unknown ones. I also use a brush to do it. It’s a dense concealer brush. I’ve done this with Huda beauty boss spray initially. I’ve done it with elf stay all night, urban decay etc. it must be a proper setting spray though, one with alcohol in the ingredients at the beginning ideally as those are the sprays that’ll get your makeup to last. The one size is literally hairspray I’m convinced of it 😂.
Hi just checking about the hack a Of the concealer Was it working with any different beauty sponges or dense concealer brush and any different setting sprays please Thanks
@@jessicarroman no, I use a couple of sprays, maybe 3 and wave it a couple of times to ensure it’s not wet, but rather just damp. So it doesn’t disrupt the concealer etc.
You teaching us to put things on our hand first has CHANGED MY WORLD. I have so much more control over my cream products and feel like a pro 🥰🥰 THANK YOU
I couldn't of asked for a better, well explained video. You've just save me a lot of money. I used a very cheap rose oil in a full coverage foundation, which always went crapey, it works it works!!! But also used setting spray in sponge. I think it all just worked out for me. I actually looked like me again. I thought I had aged a decade.
Great video! I actually tried this hack with the Milani 16 hour natural finish and the Urban Decay all nighter setting sprays and both worked like a charm 👌
Hi Nina. Looking fab! Just one question; The oil in foundation hack, does it have to be an oil based foundation? I thought long wear foundations were usually matte water based ones. How do the oil and water emulsify without separating? X
The best foundation applicators are the Silicone ones. No mess No fuss. Easy to wash, just run it under hot water with some handwash, dabb it dry with a towel and in the make- up bag it goes. What I love about the Silicone applicator's is that they carry NO bacteria at all.
These are great hacks. I actually hate foundation and concealer but once you’ve done your hacks, those things look phenomenal. I just may start using them again.
Omg I thought I was the only one who had a shower after applying my makeup. Have been doing this for years and everyone thinks I'm crazy but it softens the look of the makeup without changing anything.
Dear Nina. What great video. Personally I'm looking forward to test your trick applying foundation on my mature skin, to see if I can make it last all day, I'll be trying your hack with the concealor too and last but not least to save my brows when I have been to heavy handed drawing in new hairs. Thanks you so much for sharing.😊😊❤
I tried the concealer & foundation on my older skin & wow the difference in the finish was amazing. Not had it on long enough to test longevity but I really struggle making foundation look good on me & this trick was incredible. Thank-you, so simple yet so effective
I’m going to do this tomorrow with my NARS radiant concealer and my CT setting spray. Then I’ll try it again the day after with the same NARS concealer but with Barry M’s dewy setting spray - to see what the results are. Worth a try. I set my foundation with a damp sponge of CT setting spray on lines on my face to stop the foundation from collecting there and settling in the lines. It works a treat. FYI - I use Paw Paw sponges and it all works. Love your make up tips and tricks Nina. Greetings from the UK 🇬🇧 👋 💋
Nina you’re the best. I’ve got the spray and will buy the Beauty Blender sponge per your recommendation. Totally trust you. In the past few years, I’ve learned so much from you. Thanks!!!
I do the same concealer trick but I use the Junoco Lemon Drop Microfiber sponge. It’s way cheaper and O/S spray kills my beauty blender faster. I think it works better than the beauty blender for the concealer personally, so I save the beauty blender for foundation only
Great video! Thank you. My mature skin will feel so much better with oil in my foundation! I’m going to try the concealer hack as well! Love these ideas!
Hi Nina You are amazing .I never miss your singal video, just a question if we need to use orange corrector , do we do same with orange one then normal concealer on the top with same way? Thanks ❤
The shower routine really works! I put on a shower cap, the kind with terry cloth on the inside, and take a quick refresher shower. This truly sets your makeup plus gives a very natural look without removing any makeup.
Hi there . Love your hacks. But what is best for oily skin? It never stays looking good for long as i tend to tap to get rid of that extreme shiny oily skin! Please help!
I tried the one size + concealer this morning and loved it.... I also used the same technique with my liquid blush, and also used one of your older hacks using a little powder than milk makeup primer before foundation.... loving my base today! TY ; )
Hey Nina, your tips are fantastic. I hadn't heard of but one of them. I hope the concealer tip works the best because I have horrible dark circles. I'm a new sub and even though I'm a mature woman; I can already tell your really going to up my makeup aesthetic. Thank you so much. God bless you and yours.
Wow that shower hack I have been doing for yrs and u told my friends about it and they use to laugh on me that how can I get my face ready and then shower😂 but thank you Nina for your tips and such great videos 🤗
I love your content. This was THE BEST HACK VIDEO I've ever seen!!! I've been doing makeup for years both on myself and on others and even I didnt know sone of these HACKS!!!❤❤❤
NINA, LIZ Taylor use to do the in the shower Hack after applying makeup. ❤u, and I'm crazy mad about "HACKS That WORK" Thank you sooo much for sharing these amazing tips. U R soooo gorgeous inside and out❤
Amazing video. Do u have a hack of how to apply glue onto strip lashes? Mine never seems to stick. I used a black eyeliner glue which you use straight onto the lid then wait for it to get tacky then place the lash onto ur lashline. Unfortunately they don't make it anymore
these are some of the most useful and ingenious hacks that I have heard! thank you so much! i would love for you to talk about BALANCE in your overall makeup look. for a while i have struggled to like lipstick on me. my mother thinks i need more color as i have light skin and almost white hair. the trouble is most lipsticks look too much for me as i am a petite person with dramatic hair, dark eyes, strong nose and full lips. i never wear eyeshadow as it makes me look too made up so only do my brows and lashes, skin tint and blush. recently i have gotten into lipsticks in lightest pink or peach which i think might be my answer. i notice in this video that you are wearing a lovely light pink. this color gives me more color without making me look like a clown. am i on the right track? no one seems to address balance. thanks ahead of time. i love your videos and your quiet demeanor.
I'm going to try the concealer hack with the o/s with my foundation as well thanks Nina. For some reason my foundation slides in the summer months I don't know if it's the moisturiser I'm using, I've tried every application technique 😢😮
Yes! Or a clothes steamer works well too. I wear a shower cap to prevent hair from frizz. I have combo skin and I find the steam really helps especially when I use a matte long wear foundation. 😊
One of the first tricks I was taught was to use lip balm blot, line my lips, lipstick, blot, using that tissue as a buffer dust your lips with powder through the tissue, then apply another coat of lipstick
If I had skin like yours I would never cover it with foundation. Beautiful!
Exactly!

Of the concealer
Was it working with any different beauty sponges or dense concealer brush and any different setting sprays please

Yeah I have found other blenders work great. No need to spend so much on a sponge
I feel like she used a lot of the setting spray on the sponge. Is that how much you use?
@@jessicarroman no, I use a couple of sprays, maybe 3 and wave it a couple of times to ensure it’s not wet, but rather just damp. So it doesn’t disrupt the concealer etc.
@@toohak6273 yes as long as it’s a proper setting spray not a facial mist or hydrating spray etc.
I mean this in a purely positive and complimentary way: Nina, I see you as my makeup fair godmother. More power to you!
You teaching us to put things on our hand first has CHANGED MY WORLD. I have so much more control over my cream products and feel like a pro 🥰🥰 THANK YOU
This is one I’ve always done. The question is, how did we ever move away from applying foundation with our fingers.
The first hack will work with any beauty sponge and setting spray.
Thanks for sharing Nina. These are good hacks. The only one that I wouldn't use is the freckles😂 but it looks nice.
These hacks are genius! I especially love the blender/setting spray hack for apply concealer and the last hack for softening the brows

THANK YOU so much from a mature dry skin lady!
What are your favorites that you always use?
I live in the South, so, no need for the shower trip. I only have to walk outside. And then, sweat my makeup off 😂
These are great hacks. I actually hate foundation and concealer but once you’ve done your hacks, those things look phenomenal. I just may start using them again.
The best hack for using concealer! Thank you Nina 😍
Love all those techniques you’ve used I certainly appreciate it as my makeup is definitely looking more caked and very dry the older I’ve gotten ❤👏🏻
Thank you so much for the hacks Nina❤ Really appreciate you!
Thank you also to the folks who shared their awesome hacks, without any negative vibes🙏
Omg I thought I was the only one who had a shower after applying my makeup. Have been doing this for years and everyone thinks I'm crazy but it softens the look of the makeup without changing anything.
You can simply use a hydrating setting spray while covering your T zone if you are oily 😂😂😂
I would look like a rabid raccoon if I did this. 😂

What primer do you recommend using prior to applying the foundation/ oil combination?
I am 50 years young by the way. So mature skin
Thank you so much! Great tips!!!

Concealer hack I've been doing with my concealer brush for years.
Fabulous video, particularly the first hack regarding concealer application...pure genius! Thank you Nina, you're amazing!!!!
Such amazing tips! ❤❤❤❤
I'm going to try the concealer hack with the o/s with my foundation as well thanks Nina. For some reason my foundation slides in the summer months I don't know if it's the moisturiser I'm using, I've tried every application technique 😢😮
increíble video helps alot! Gracias!
Sweat proof full glam especially for oily skin
Love this!
I add a lil glowy highlighter to my foundation. I am 55 and some people don't believe it.
Instead of the shower use a hydrating settings spray or use a hairstylist water bottle ( it just like aerosol)
Thank you!!😊
Good video, hacks I hadn’t heard about 👍 good job 👍
Does that work for liquid foundation?
Nina, is the MUFE ULTRA HD powder in banana good for someone with strong pink undertones? Thank you? I’ve learned so much from you.❤
Great video
Oh how about self adhesive lashes please
Can you use any other setting spray
Great hacks! I had a thought about using the steam from the shower to soften your makeup look. Would a facial steamer work as well?
Yes! Or a clothes steamer works well too. I wear a shower cap to prevent hair from frizz. I have combo skin and I find the steam really helps especially when I use a matte long wear foundation. 😊
Can you use the concealer hack for face foundation?
