Just so you know, you've inspired a teen to appreciate natural makeup in a world of crazy TikTok trends and Instagram pics. I appreciate that you're a good role model! :D Have a great day, a wonderful Easter, and thanks for sharing your gift w/ the world :)
I have always done this! Its so nice to see you do this. Another TIP: Spray your face after the dots with a hydrating mist to help spread if your formulation is a bit dry or you want to use even less.
Hi Wayne 👋 I have switched from wanting higher coverage to a more ‘my skin but enhanced’ by watching your videos. I am really appreciating my skin and I feel very comfortable in it now. Thank you for being on TH-cam and sharing your amazing wealth of knowledge and experience with us!! Can’t wait to try this technique 😊
Wayne goss taught me concealer as foundation hack, I don’t use a lot of make up to begin with. This hack has changed my make up, a little product goes a long way. And looks flawless. I have been doing this from the last 5-6 years. I have always used drugstore products now thinking of changing to tarte concealer as I have tried it ones. I have learnt so much from his that he’s my guru ❤
Love that you've been talking about concealer as foundation for years now. I've been doing it since I started wearing makeup in the late 80s. There wasn't a foundation shade that matched me when my mom took me to the Clinique counter, so we got concealer and powder instead. I have a love/hate relationship with traditional foundation. I only wear it about 20% of the time I'm actually wearing makeup. I usually just stick to strategically placed concealer, and buff it in.
Glad it’s not just me doing similar. After spending tons of cash to get a good match for my skin colour and skin type which I thought was bog standard fair with cool undertone (ie pink undertone) but I could get fair that was too yellow or too pale never quite the right shade or texture. I even tried an airbrush foundation gadget which you dialled up a colour took a deep breath and sprayed on your face much to my surprise that was amazing but I hated smell of product on skin but it did look good although I needed to use cotton buds to clean up eyebrows. But eventually simplicity won out. Cleanse, moisture and then a couple of Clinique liquid concealers in two similar shades worked a treat and a little powder in key area then I applied lips and eye makeup in moderation…looked fresh, natural me but a better version of me 😊 takes a few minutes and is very forgiving on all your less than perfect skin days
I always use concealer as foundation. Ever since I noticed foundation accentuates my fine lines and pores. So I just used concealer on my flaws, and before I knew it I used it all over my face. And it looked sooooo good. And flawless.
Hi Wayne, I have to tell you I am 66 years old and this tutorial changed my life. Finally an easy way to cover my dark spots, rosacea and broken veins that I have been fighting for so many years. I have boxes of Liquid and mineral foundation. And I still have to go over everything with concealer, but concealer alone With this tutorial has really done the trick. I have never buffed in Foundation as much as I have with this concealer trick because I always thought it would remove so much, but it did not it really did look flawless and also made a liquid blush which I rarely used because of my large pores look flawless too. I can’t say Enough how grateful I am for your tips and how I always learn from you and enjoy your joking when you make your own mistakes. One of your greatest fans!
I love how minimum you applied onto your face! Wow! & Goss's technique is very underrated! Hopefully more people can embrace this type of simplicity. I absolutely love my natural face but only need to correct certain areas or blotches only! This is epic! Thank you Goss ❤❤
Been trying to love foundation for years but have recently realised that this is the solution for me. Nars Vanilla is the one I use as well 😀. Also, because I’m just a hobby makeup artist, I find it so much more cost effective to buy a wide range of concealer shades to use on different models. It can easily be sheered out or built up how you want. Have a great weekend Wayne! 😊💋💋xx
First love how he talks about using concealer as foundation. Second, I stopped buy liquid foundation because it looks so much better, it’s better for my wallet and my foundation doesn’t expire since I don’t have one.. so less waste! I did instinctively, because it’s also quicker, feels better and lighter on the skin and looks natural. Especially if you’re wearing it in you every day life. Can look good in photos, although I suggest using a good powder foundation for a higher coverage. Love your videos been watching since the beginning, you teach so well and honestly. Thank you!
Being someone who is 64 with very dry skin I really appreciate seeing this...and all of your videos...keeping it real is what works in my world and I’m sure a lot of other folk as well!! Thank you so much for all the information you share with us so freely!!
This is the way I execute my everyday look! I use the Nars pot (which literally lasts foreverrrr) mascara and bronzer/blush to complete it. I love the extra tips
As someone who has struggled to find a foundation or bb or cc cream that I adore or really even want to wear with any consistency, I can’t wait to try this technique.
I always get a kick out of the fact that you use your face to educate but never look like a man who wears makeup. 😃 Thank you for another wonderful video. I will certainly give it a try. Is it necessary to buy concealers specifically for this technique, or can we use the colors we have?

You might just be my favorite makeup artist! I love that you want the skin to look like skin and highlight natural beauty. I love makeup but I’m all about less is more and love using concealer as foundation. Thanks for sharing your tricks!
Thank you!!! I greatly appreciate this because I decided the other day to start using my concealer as a foundation and folks thought I had issues lol. I looved it. I felt it lookes extremely natural. Im going to stick with it 😁
@@DanielleNicoleMakeup A very slight dewy finish. Quite natural. Covers well without thickness or chalkiness. Good colors and inexpensive enough to get 2 or 3 to customize if you want. A LOT of product in the glass tubes, too. Love it!
you know since the whole mask wearing situation I have found just using concealer has been my go to and I have not barely touched a foundation . I use three different concealers over primer and use my fingers I then use setting power and to everything else just like a foundation but I am barely using any products I use the three different shades to get the dimensions. I love this! as a person that really does not like foundation, this is a game changer! I hate it when i do not get any skin texture. I like it as natural as possible. And i dont use makeup that often, so a little concealer will go a long way for me. Thank you so much for your awesome tips and tricks, they have really helped me do my makeup! especially the dabbing eyeliner trick! I love it! Keep on going, you rock :D
This I just a fantastic idea. I have use BB stick foundation since in came on the market in 1990. However, as I’ve gotten older and my skin has improved, it seems like the foundation has gotten thicker. Recently, BB changed the packaging of their concealers and correctors. So I purchased the concealer in my exact shade and tried using it as my foundation. It was/is perfection. It’s buffs in so well that my skin appears flawless but not caked you can still see my skin. Another advantage is I don’t have an entire foundation stick to use which can dry out before you get to the end. Thank you Wayne I would never have thought of this on my own. Perfection I tell you, perfection!
As a man wearing make up just to look better this is THE BEST TECHNIQUE BY FAR (and I've been trying different options for more than 15 years now). If you are reading this, you are a man and you want to look at your best but certainly not "Made up" go for this whichever your age. You rock Wayne! Thanxs so much
I've been using concealer and no foundation for a while now, ever since you talked about it! Love it! Feels more fresh. I'm going to try using 2 shades now.
When the Too Faced concealers launched, I loved them so much. I have been using them for my foundation and highlight every since. Great coverage and beautiful finish.
I love the too faced concealer, I been using that as my foundation since I started using it. I am 48 and I have some discoloration brown spots and redness. I cover those and a little extra and I look nice. No reason to goop on a bunch of product for no reason. I can spend that money on highlight or eyeshadow.
True old school mua to a T there! Those triangle sponges are a staple in my kit!! Haha. I love using concealer for foundation, my current fav is the hourglass, but just not enough product in them and I go through too many haha.

For whatever reason I tought that I might be doing something wrong for not using foundation ! And here comes my validation from the one ai trust the most in make up from youtube !
I LOVE Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I have dry, very pale skin and the first time I used the concealer on my eyes it just felt so soothing! That’s the only time I’ve had a concealer actually provide hydration and it continues all day.
@@wildhorses6817 Nah, I just meant a love Nars Radiant Creamy as a concealer. It’s a bit on the pricey side for me to use it as a foundation but it looked beautiful on Wayne’s skin!
Elf camo concealer on oily skin works sooo good as foundation. However it dries quite fast so you need to work fast but it keeps my oily skin at bay way longer than any of my foundations. I have also mixed it with other foundations that i like the finish of but get oily fast with. Good mix in combo! I recommend playing around with it if you are one of my oily skin girls! keeps you nice and matte!

This is amazing, I've been doing something similar to this, but with a much less pigmented concealer I just kind of try to diffuse some of my redness. This is a great method if your line of work is either outside or not conducive to a full face of makeup. Personally, I'm an aircraft technician so I work outside every day and makeup is too expensive for me to go all out every day just to have the elements of heat, rain, humidity, or wind mess it all up. Then, on the weekends I go all out and play more heavily in my makeup 😊☺😄
I mean, literally yesterday I did my makeup without the foundation while following the other video of yours about how to make concealer look natural. And look at you making more content on that theme ! Loving it !
This was fascinating! I wasn't going to do makeup today, but I can't wait to try this technique. I've learned so much from you, and I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience with us. Cheers 😊
Yes,yes, yes Wayne, I've thought for a long time to stop after concealer. Lately I have and I'm a lot happier with the outcome. I use Lancome concealers, they are obscenely pigmented. Thanks for validating my decision. Love you Wayne, Peace Sheila : ).

As someone who always carries her Born This Way Concealer with her everywhere she goes for spot touch-ups, I find myself finishing off the last of my foundation (which also happens to be Born This Way - also as a wonderful foundation as its concealer), I think I'm just going to shift to using nothing but concealers as foundation. I'll be able to custom blend my colors as needed throughout the seasons with three colors for roughly the same amount of money as one bottle (or two bottles) of foundation. :) I always like to see demonstrations of concealer as foundation. I don't comment often on videos, but, Wayne, I have watched your videos for a few years now and just wanted to say I have learned a lot of you especially for tips as skin matures. Thank you for being you!
I only recently discovered you and I am very happy. I only wish I could have found you years ago. Thank you for teaching us. You are extremely talented and knowledgeable! 🥰🥰
It's lovely, your skin looks great! My only worry is how small the containers of concealer is; you'd be purchasing it a lot more often than foundation. Love your videos!
So, after watching this, I stopped after work and bought a concealer that a lot of people seem to love. Made a guess on which shade and tried it the next morning. 😲😍 first, I got the right shade lol! Second, it looks so much better than the foundation I was wearing!! Third, it lasted ALL DAY!!! And I used a fraction of the amount I use with foundation. There was a little bit rubbed off my nose from wearing the mask but i didn't look like Rudolph by lunchtime! (Thank you rosacea) These are probably not surprises to you or some of the others in the comments lol but I'm sold! THANK YOU for this and everything else you share🥰😉
I'm 44 and I'm addicted to both Wayne Goss & Judy D & I don't know what that says about me. Besides that I'm a poet. On another note, I'm curious of Wayne's take on "natural" makeup like Pacifica. I was shocked at the coverage & I've been using their concealer for everything.
Even though I use make up maybe 3 times a year, I really enjoy your videos because of your personality. I have to say, I've been watching you for years and you have not aged at all. It Must be your kindness! Keep up the good work. Blessings!
Hey Wayne .. thanks for the video . I suffer from melasma and looking natural while covering melasma is a huge struggle for all us melasma ladies. Please make a video for that . Love ❤️
I've started using Maybelline anti age Eraser in Light as foundation. I just stripe it on face and put on under eyes as I always did then buff in with the IT cosmetics CC cream brush. It is amazing. So natural and gives a medium coverage. So handy for travelling too.
Been learning a lot of makeup techniques and hacks from you sir! This is my go-to channel. Whenever I have bridal makeup, or whenever I'm confused with the right application of makeups.., love this channel so much! Been back viewing other videos.., God bless and more power sir Wayne Goss!
I‘m using the body and face foundation as a primer and then just concealer where i needed.....and it‘s such a natural finish.....i am so happy that you recommended too with just concealer......because you are a big artist when it comes to make up......❤️❤️❤️
I love this. No matter what foundation I tried I hated the feel of it on may face, but this looks really amazing. Also I loved your tutorial on how to mix moisturizer and concealer and use it instead of foundation. You are the best 😍

I don't comment often on videos, but, Wayne, I have watched your videos for a few years now and just wanted to say I have learned a lot of you especially for tips as skin matures. Thank you for being you!
Love that buffing technic , looks so much more natural and clean .🤗🦋🤗
Love your "wink" at your finish. It's slight and sweet. Next makeup, today, utilizing my Hourglass concealer. I like Nars also!
Patty, I've not tried the Hourglass? Is it good? xx
Neat, I love to use concealer instead of foundation anyways. Thank you 😊
Love this and love your sweaters 💚 The older I get the less make up I use. I also like the skin to look like skin. Have a lovely day, Wayne 💐
Since quarantine this is my go to look and preference. It’s so natural looking.
You are incredible! I’ve been looking for someone who explains the techniques with a tutorial. Keep up the good work!
Please do one about using lipstick as blush. Surely can't be the only one who does this?
He did one in the past ig
Even though I use make up maybe 3 times a year, I really enjoy your videos because of your personality. I have to say, I've been watching you for years and you have not aged at all. It Must be your kindness! Keep up the good work. Blessings!
Hey Wayne .. thanks for the video . I suffer from melasma and looking natural while covering melasma is a huge struggle for all us melasma ladies. Please make a video for that . Love ❤️
The regular Cover FX setting spray sets my oily skin well!
I‘m using the body and face foundation as a primer and then just concealer where i needed.....and it‘s such a natural finish.....i am so happy that you recommended too with just concealer......because you are a big artist when it comes to make up......❤️❤️❤️
Love this! Going to try it. Hate wearing foundation and this looks like a good alternative. Thank you
I LOVE using your airbrush for blusher!!! Great video, Wayne
This is my go to everyday makeup style
Wayne helped improve my makeup techniques so much. Before, I felt like a clown cakeface.
I love this. No matter what foundation I tried I hated the feel of it on may face, but this looks really amazing. Also I loved your tutorial on how to mix moisturizer and concealer and use it instead of foundation. You are the best 😍
LOVE THIS! I don't wear foundation AT ALL. Just conceal some spots and a great powder. This is GREAT!!
I definitely want to try this!
I use that techinque almost 10 years😁 And I am not a make up artist. It was just logical for me and more easy😁
I love your great idea, skin looks natural!! 👏🏼👏🏼 Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
Oh Wayne, somehow you've gotten better and better looking the older you get! Thank you for this awesome vid 😊
I’m 38. Been looking for an alternative to foundation that’ll work for me and by golly, I think you found it! I hate the caked on foundation look, I wanna look like the best version of myself!
Thank you very much for your brilliant tutorials, Wayne! Your advices always help me look gorgeous. Love!😍
