JPJ’s commentary and responses are just so articulate, thought out, and down to Earth that I find myself smiling, relaxed, and happy as I listen. It’s his inner nature coming out. He really is a unique man and musician. So unassuming.
That’s how he always wanted it to be. He always stayed back in the shadows. One of the best and most versatile musicians in the entire rock n roll era. Easily the most humble rock n roll star that I’ve ever heard of.
How many times do you hear the great players learn by listening to records and playing by ear. JPJ was Zeps secret weapon, the quiet one off to the side doing bad ass bass riffs and synth fill
One of the most influential musicians to ever grace the music world. Thank you JPJ for giving us some of the best music this world will ever hear. Cheers!
Without JPJ and Jimmy, two great session musicians, Zeppelin wouldn't have taking off like they did. Add Plant and Bohnam and you come up with the heaviest, greatest band ever.
Jones also attended an elite prep school, in Kent ( upper class) for music . He’s no pot smoking dummy who blundered his way into success. Event he never went into Led Zeppelin, he’d a been a George Martin success story.
One thing I remember from Spinal Tap was Nigel actually playing his guitar with a violin as a hilarious tribute to Jimmy Page when he played with a violin bow.

He's got it good. He was in Zeppelin and he can still be unnoticed in public.

He reckoned it gave him the freedom to go wandering while on tour, while the rest of the band was being mobbed and trapped in their hotel rooms.
