FSAE Pitt Shootout 2023 - Driver's POV w/ the Formula Buckeyes

Our first run in the 53s, was pretty early in the day. Ended up 3rd(?) in AutoX with a 52.986 at the end. Likely some more time out there given another run with how the track was evolving!

I'm currently a junior in highschool and I am really into motorsport and interested in FSAE, quick question how do you into actually driving the car?

Driving spots are given by a few criteria:
1) Being on the team for 3-4 years as most teams go by seniority. You understand all the subsystems the best by then, and it's a bit of a reward for all of the hard work you put in over the course of that time. Being fast in the car also helps.
2) Have racing/karting experience ahead of time.
